"This is usually the part where kids get excited and jump up and down and exclaim, ‘oh golly!’ or something else stupidly adorable. We’ll presume it happened." Shrill X ruffled Sugar Petal’s hair and then paid the entrance fee. VROOOOOOM! The roar of Go-Kart Heaven sent vibrations through Shrill X and she took in a deep appreciative breath of the petrol fumes. "I’m ready to race!" It wasn’t long before she was placing a helmet securely onto Sugar Petal’s head, carefully tucking away the long lock of hair. "Okay so, you’re supposed to try not to crash, this ‘aint dodgem cars, but that’s only a suggestion really. Just have fun, go wild, feel the wind in your face. You’ll love it."

Her ears flicked down and eyes closed as her hair was ruffled, quietly enjoying the ruffle before remembering she was supposed to be pouting. She allowed Shrill X to help her, yellow eyes watching the mare curiously. This was the "annoyance"? Sure, she didn't quite get Sugar Petal's passion, but she seemed nice enough. Loud, but nice.
"Okay... Thank you." She looked about, finding the Go-Kart that seemed to be prepped for her and clambering in. For a second she looked completely overwhelmed before her face went blank again, hooves lifting and playing with whatever control she could find at the moment. Okay. Okay so... she might have figured out how to move this thing. But what was the purpose? She waited for Shrill X, nervously running her hooves over the steering wheel in thought. No hitting each other, right. She got it. This was going to be easy. She would ace this and then she could go home!

Shrill X checked to make sure Sugar Petal was properly strapped in and then got into the Go-Kart next to her, plonking a helmet on her own head. "You good? There’s going to be a count down. When the light goes green, you go. Just press hard down on the right pedal." Two lights flashed red and then – GREEN! GO! Shrill X revved her engine but didn’t quite take off, instead she held back to make sure Sugar Petal was fine.

She was not fine.
The second it hit green all you could see was the Go-Kart flooring it, and a petrified foal screeching: "AAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Now Sugar Petal never yelled. It's said she never even cried as a baby. She was, possibly, one of the quietest phony's out there, but not this time. Her scream echoed as a frightened foal finally realized what Go-Karting really is. Sitting in cart that goes. Fast. Really fast.
She slammed right into the nearest wall, which was soft, of course. THIS WAS NOT FUN. What part of this was fun? Why did Shrill X seem so excited? Trembling just a tad, the phony gently hit the peddle this time, just barely moving on, like a snail. A giant snail with wheels. Yeah. Yeah this was much more her pace. There we go. This was fun.
Ruriska Whoop whoop. Failure of a phony, here we gooo.

Shrill X nearly ran into the wall herself, due to the hysterical laughter that had her doubled over the wheel. When she’d recovered, she parked her Go-Kart off to the side and walked, walked, after Sugar Petal. She caught up easily now that the filly was driving like a ninety-year old blind man and hopped onto the back of the Go-Kart. "Exhilarating, eh? Come on; floor the gas a bit more! Get it a bit of vroom. I’ll ride with you."

She just shot a frighted glance at Shrill X, internally cringing. Oh, why was speeding so much fun to everyone else? This snail crawl was actually enjoyable, you know. She had time to sight see... which wasn't saying much since there wasn't really anything to even gawk at, but still, at least she could see!
No. She wasn't doing this anymore. Shrill would just have to deal! Raising her hoof to stomp it in a rare moment of defiance, she turned her head to look Shrill X right in the eye and th-
"Wait, n–!" Her little hoof stomped right on the pedal! All defiance was gone as the Go-Kart zoomed by, again. Oh higher beings, this was not what she signed up for!

"Waaaahoooo! That’a girl!" Shrill X leaned forward and jerked the wheel away from the wall, steering messily with one hoof. She absolutely certain that sooner or later Sugar Petal would realize just how much fun she was having.

This was the worst! She was vaguely relieved when Shrill X took the wheel, leaning back into her seat the second she was relieved of her steering duty. She couldn't even see, this was horrible! Ohno.... she was starting to feel sick... make this stop!
Ruriska IDEA. Sugar and Shrill could stop this soonish (or we could timeskip to like 15 mins later when Shrill finally stops the car), and Sugar Petal sees a roller-coaster and seems vaguely interested but scared. Shrill could lead them over (or drag, yee) and they try it a few times until Sugar seems to REALLY like it and then Shrill regrets it when Sugar makes her ride the roller-coaster like 20 times.

They went around the track five times before Shrill X finally instructed Sugar to take her hoof off the gas. “How was that, good eh?” Despite her enthusiastic efforts, ‘having fun’ didn’t seem to be rubbing off on her little charge. They would have to step it up a notch. It didn’t take much encouragement to get the filly out of the kart and to the bustling little picnic area. “Hang here for a second, I’m gonna get us some chilli fries.”

Sugar was going to collapse from exhaustion the second she was home. The idea of food sounded horrible, but her stomach did turn and rumble once Shrill was gone. Collapsing into the nearest chair, she flopped her arms down and nestled into them, groaning. Man, that was rough!
Her head rolled to peek over her arm, eyes snapping to glance around at the rides nearby. If she could pick she'd want to... what did she want, anyway? The sound of screaming caused her eyes to flick over to the source, head perking up. A roller coaster, maybe? She'd never been on one and had been told it was tons of fun... And it seemed to include water! A part of the track included a mist of water when they reached the top, and today was hot. Shrill X did want her to have fun, maybe she'd be game?

Shrill X returned laden with food and dumped it all on the picnic table. "I got chilli fries, two hotdogs and some steamed dim sims. You could drown a fish in the soy sauce, it’s so thick and salty." She grinned at Sugar and pushed a hotdog forward. "Come on, eat up. Then we can do whatever you want… except, ya know, go home."

Well, that ruined the plan to just ask to go home. She snapped her mouth shut, poking at the hotdog with a hoof before, delicately, giving it a taste. There was a pause, and then she perked right up. Greasy, yes, but this was good. She didn't often eat outside of the house!
So, what did she even want to do? The shrill screaming of phony's caused her to glance a second time at the roller coaster, lifting a hoof and committing to her already idea.
"That? There's a mist that sprays you at the top, too. It's hot, I figured that'd be nice and relaxing." Relaxing. Right. That was the word for it. She had no clue how roller coasters worked, and she was about to find out.

Shrill X was halfway through her hotdog, her mouth stuffed full as she turned her head to look at the roller coaster. Then with cheeks puffed out with food, she looked back at Sugar. Then back to the ride. Then back to the filly. She chewed slowly and ponderously, then swallowed. "Yeah," she said, grabbing up some fries. "They just scream like that to make it more exciting. It’s really relaxing." Then she gave a wolfish grin and devoured the fries. "When we’re done eating we’ll wander over."

"Well, people scream about all sorts of things for no reason, I wouldn't doubt it." She mumbled back as she poked at the fries with a hoof. She took one, giving it a nibble before taking a handful more and flicking her gaze around the park.
Wouldn't her dad be worried by now?
She glanced back over at Shrill X, pondering. Who even was this lady? All she was told was the negative things, and really only grumbled under nonsensical sentences. "How do you know my dad?" She questioned. If her dad didn't like this lady, why did he spend time with her?

Shrill X lounged against the table and licked sauce off her hoof. “Eh. I dunno. He was an a*****e, I was super cool and I guess he couldn’t get enough of me. We kept running into each other and then you know, just sorta didn’t hate each other anymore.” She explained loosely, not sure how to express her weird friendship with Truths. She certainly wasn’t going to admit he was her best friend. “You done eating yet? Let’s go try out the relaxing ride.”
