"I wasn't intending on you to choose between my life and your own." Yuki stated in response to Jason, as they both continued the rest of the way down the corridor until it opened up into a scene of an alarming number of the strange butterflies.

Carefully avoiding them, and trying to push down the feeling of unease that had his skin prickling with gooseflesh and the hair of the back of his neck standing on end, Yuki gazed toward the mass of weapons. As Jason questioned him, his voice was a welcome distraction from the strange humming sound that was buzzing in his ears.

It was equally as alarming, though, to see that their weapons looked to be burning. It took him only a few moments to locate his own, with the call of it guiding him to where he needed to search.

"I do," Yuki confirmed, as he was rolling up the sleeves of his tunic with haste. "The faster we grab them, the less we're going to have to deal with this." He said, in regards to the pain that he was anticipating.

Then, Yuki was thrusting both hands into the flames to take hold of his tonfa in each hand. He gritted his teeth, not wanting to cry out despite how his skin burned and felt as though the flames were consuming his skin and flesh.

It was a shock in itself when he pulled them out, discovering that not only was Darius unharmed, but so was he.

"I'm not much fond of magic..." Yuki murmured, mostly to himself, tucking the pair of tonfa under his belt at each hip.

Casting a quick look around the room, still on edge as if something was looming just over his shoulder at all times, he waited just long enough for Jason to grab his own weapon before he was urging them on.

"Let's hurry back," he said, and he was striding toward the way they'd come in. "There's no way out, here. It must be down one of the others."

As they plunged their hands into the fire, Mildred cringed and sharply inhaled, more a tell of anxiety than any indication of actual injury: she'd been anticipating the pain so intensely that the idea of it sent her pulse racing, not the flames. And when she felt them lapping at her, singing her skin and searing the raw flesh beneath it, she was more surprised at the discovery that it was somehow within the realm of pleasant.

Once her weapon was retrieved, no time was afforded to wondering what was wrong with her to have thought such a thing, though she did marvel at the notable lack of burns on her hand when it was removed from the flames.

"Well," she murmured, curling and uncurling her fingers with a clear awe, sincerely impressed by the effectiveness of the deterrent illusion. "I am pleased to report that you need not suffer on my behalf - I can assure you that I am fine."

Her hand was first offered as proof, then offered for taking.

"Shall we? In our freedom, we have quite the journey ahead." She smiled, a shyness returning when faced with the unknown. "I presume so, at least. Having found you...together...I feel our story is only beginning."

It didn't take much longer for Jason to locate his own, the locked Katana secured in a veil of flame. His face fell at the sight of it, knowing that he would have to brave the fire to retrieve Jarin.

"Right" was his only comment as he mentally prepared himself, and much like Yuki threw his hands into the fire. Thankfully he kept his mouth shut as the fire burned through his skin, his eyes watering through the pain, and yanked out his sword from it's hoist.

With the sword in hand he was hesitant to look at the damage, but when he did Jason was surprised to see that there were no burns.

"Neither do I" He sighed, not sure if his friend was talking to him or not, then slipped the katana into his belt. At least he was armed now and had half a chance of defending himself against a threat.

"Right." He followed Yuki at a fast pace. "Perhaps we may get a break and not encounter any resistance" And perhaps pigs would fly.

When they'd returned to the point in which Riley had been waiting for them, it was reassuring that the further that Yuki seemed to get from the room they'd just left the less tight his chest felt. Like what had been pulling at his anxiety had been left behind, and he was keen on getting as far from that room as possible.

"Do either of you have a preference?" Yuki questioned softly, though he was wandering with purpose toward one branch of the corridors in particular.

And before he had awaited on an answer, he glimpsed light. The moment that he saw a torch's light flickering in the darkness beyond, moving away in haste, Yuki took off toward it like a goddamn moth.

"N-no, I don't..." Jason started, when he thought he heard Something coming from one of the corridors. What..what was it?

When he was about to ask if anyone else heard it, Yuki had ran off leaving him and Riley.

Well then.

"Riley, I need to go check something. I wont be long, but you can go after Yuki if you want. Or me as well." He added, not wanting to sound like he didn't want her around. "I need to go check this out."

He then ran towards the other corridor

[Entering]

He was pulled free from his cell, down into the darkness. The shadows taking in his sight. He could not stop himself, he let out a frantic scream as he flailed his arms, desperate to find leverage. Suddenly solid ground met his back as he let forth a groan. On his hands and knees, the twenty-five year old looked up at the corredors before him. There were others with him. They must have been the ones in the cells beside him, their faces familiar from the castle. It would seem they were all taken here by the Queen... Pushing himself off the ground, he watched as the other knights moved on into different passages. He, chose the left, it was the one best lit.

The passage was lit with rows of torches. As he progressed, he noticed small, red butterflies line the walls. It was a few initially, but then the earthly walls became moving crimson with each beat of their tiny wings. Before long, he saw that butterflies lined the entire room, yet still gave definition to what was there. There, he saw the weapons; the handles, the pommels, the grips, the halts, the bows, the staves, the sheaths, the scabbards, they were all laying there for their owners. Among the butterflies was an outline of a casket, ones meant for the passing or... those to be passed. He attempted to venture closer for inspection, but the butterflies prevented his path. He wasn't going to bother them, their fluttering would cause a crimson panic.

It was then he felt that familiar pull - the call of Remittuntur. He jerked his head around, quickly seeking out his executioner's blade - his sword of justice. He came to it, but glowered at what he was seeing. His blade was a lit in flame, blazing and cracking to fire. The flame must have been enchanted as nothing else around it burned. He did not smell the acrid scent of burning leather of its scabbard. Without hesitation, the former black knight thrusted his hand through the flames to grab hold of his scared weapon. The Great Knights were foolish to grant him a weapon such as this. Even while locked, it was far superior to his basket hilt. The burns were bearable. The falling of his skin will be fuel for his nightmares. But once his blade had gotten its justice, those will become moot. He will be freed. With a mighty cry, he withdrew his blade and hand from the flames to find he was unharmed. He stared baffled at the contact between the two and the lack of blackened flesh.

"An illusion?" He murmured as he pulled the blade close to him to inspect it. Untouched, untarnished. He frowned as he buckled his friend to his side. He had other plans than to sit here and contemplate the unordinary of this room. There were others knights here to figure that out, but there were others out there that will need his help. Two other corridors for him to venture to.

After a while, Brenley gave up trying to break free. He felt stupid and slow, but most of all frightened, and as a result of that fear, the boy was ashamed. When the others got the cells open, he could have wept. He didn't, but he could have.

Bren followed along behind the rush of knights, unsure as to whether or not he was actually relieved. Surely, the Great Knights would be even more suspicious of them after this. But what could they do that they hadn't already been planning? What threat was greater than death?

He paused when he reached the fork in the corridor, immediately heading down the leftmost path, as if he was navigating a maze. He would see what was down here, and then try the—

Not twenty steps in, Bren could barely see through all of the butterflies. He made it to the casket mostly by touch, only vaguely aware that the hall was lined with weapons. His foot caught—presumably on a cluster of butterflies—and he tripped, his hand plunging into searing flame. He screamed, fingers closing around his weapon's hilt. And then it was over. The humming in his head that he hadn't even realized was there had ceased.

The red corridor wasn't an endless path, she could barely see the end of it. It led to a room, along the wall lit by torches. The torches felt hot, she might be sweating but she ignore it. She had to fan the red butterflies accumulated, fluttering their wings gracefully, away as she went deeper. It was annoying but it also gave a hint that it was possible the Queen was leading direction again.

She pledged her loyalty, but they betrayed her. They didn't care about her but Morgana, the one supposed to be their big enemy saved them instead. Shu snorted, thinking how ironic it was. She spaced out and eventually reached to the ending of the chamber.

Weapons! She immediately saw her swords among a stack of weapons, in different shapes and sizes. They were littered, piled up like a hill. One butterfly that was flying next to her flew off and rested on the hilt of a claymore.

She leads her here.

It was just a though flashed by, when she glanced at the stack of the weapons again. The pair of swords were burning. "Hugin. Munin." She called, feeling they had been waiting for her since they left her hands, they urged for reunion.

"Another trial....how many more....." The dark hair knight mumbled as she plunged her arms into the flame. It was warm, then it burn. As if they were rejecting her, it hurt. "I-am-sorry." She gritted her teeth, spitting out word one by one as she tolerated the heat. She could smell the scent of cooked meat and the hands that were sizzling. The pain was sharp and continuous, but she looked at them. Everyone would leave her anytime, but not them, they were hers and only her.

There won't be any betrayal.

She yelled, and applied greater force to the grasp as she gradually drew them out, back to her hands. She twisted her wrist to look at her hands, they were fine. There was no flame and she was fine.

Blinking in confusion, she put the swords besides her and decided to see what awaited for her in another corridors.

((Wrath Enter))

With Na'ima still in his arms, he had chosen the corridor that called to him most strongly. The corridor itself was well lit by torches, flickering and dancing along the corridors walls, but that was not all.

Butterflies as well, just a few at first, but more and more as they walked, and the more he saw, the stronger the pull, and the more fervently he wished to reach the corridors end.

It was not long until they made it, however, the corridor opening up to reveal the weapons that were taken from them, and more butterflies still, gathered round them. As Wrath watched them, completely entranced, and stepped closer, she revealed herself.

He glanced down to Na'ima, a fleeting look, to see if she saw this apparition as well, before his gaze rose back to Morgana once more, the mark on his hand beginning to burn the more she spoke, and a compulsion to listen to her words, to obey her, suddenly overwhelmingly strong.

When she finished what she had to say, Wrath nodded, and said, "It will be done." Which...likely looked odd to anybody else in the room who could not actually see Morgana. Behind her, the butterflies revealed a coffin, which Wrath gave a hard, grim look.

"Who is her son, do you think?" Wrath asked, as he, very gently, set Na'ima down on her feet, his gaze now flicking back to the weapons, seeking his battered sword.

Chel nodded at Shun. For whatever reason (maybe countless arena battles fighting steves and unicorns, maybe something deeper like an otherworldly connection) Chel trusted what Shun had to say. If he thought this wasn't the way out, she was listening. He had a good head on his shoulders and she was ashamed to say that his intuition was usually better than hers (after all, the mirror, the prison- he'd been right on both accounts ...).

"What lies has he told?" she asked, unaware of Mordred's deceit. It seemed there was a lot more at play than initially expected)

But then a noise sounded down the hallway and Chel flinched. The claymore was held out in front of her defensively and she said, "Maybe here isn't the best place for conversation, yeah?" The other two clearly had the same thinking since they began to exit the corridor. She quickly followed after.

[ NA'IMA ENTERING WITH WRATH ]

Her arms settled around Wrath's neck as they traveled down the corridor with the others, and it wasn't long before her head tilted to one side to rest against his shoulder. It bothered her that there were still things she didn't remember; how they met, how they fell in love, their first kiss, their first I love yous, their first anythings, but the memory she had been granted seemed to be enough to rekindle her love. She glanced up at him, wondering what he had remembered and about to inquire about it until the lights of flames caught her attention. She blinked, looking all around at the torches they were walking past. Lit torches? Where were they going? Who had lit them?

Butterflies.

Golden amber eyes widened. Red butterflies. Morgana was here. Wrath had been right after all. She smiled with pride and gave one of his shoulders a squeeze; he was more brilliant than he gave himself credit for sometimes. And then the Queen herself revealed herself to them. She tensed, staring at the vision of her silhouette.

He really was right.

She gave a slight wince as her mark burned and briefly turned her eyes down toward it. That didn't seem right. That seemed rather forceful--but then their Queen would never do such a thing to them. She was their rightful ruler and power source, of course. She was beautiful and just, a beacon of power.

When she departed, Na'ima's gaze laid on the casket. Another casket, just like the one from the tower. She pat Wrath's chest. "Put me down," she said quietly, waiting to be set on her feet. "I do not know," she replied gently, keeping a hand lightly on his arm. "But I've seen that casket before, or at least one like it, so I have an idea.." She turned a look up to Wrath, giving him a small smile. "Remember what I said, Wrath. We need to keep quiet to survive, we could be loud and proud before, but she is a subject of conflict among many." Leaning over, she gave his shoulder a light kiss before she turned to the line of weapons.

"Oh..there they are.." In the fire. Of course.

Micheal finally spotted it. His Ax, his weapon. He needed that.

But it was hot. The flames burned, but Micheal did not care. He boldly put his hand into the fire and grasped what was rightfully his. he had carried this Ax for a long time and no puny flames would keep him away from it.

Trisha was still fairly upset. In fact the first seeds of spite might be forming in her heart. Not for Sir Lancelot or the king, but for the on who through them into the dungeon. In her heart she still could not believe her sweet Lancelot would abandon them.

But the sight of her weapon behind fire troubled her. How was she supposed to get it? To reach beyond the flames and grasp her Spear.

Trisha stared at it for a long time with a little frown on her face. How? Heart heart ached for it, longed for it. They had been partners for a long while now. The spear, was more her than anything else. And she needed it. She couldn't quite put into words why she needed it so badly, but she did.

Trisha finally reached out grimacing as the pain shot through her. She grasped on and pulled it out. She had it. Her spear. Now she would go.... and figure out what to do.
