Someone down there was doing a number on the Chicken. It's thrashing was beginning to become sluggish. It allowed Johan a chance to really dig Tempest into the Chicken's flesh. The attack prompted another bout of being flung about, but Johan kept his grip on his weapon.

It turns out the most dangerous part about fighting a 100 ft. Chicken is surviving the fall when it's finally defeated.
Johan shoved his way out from under a mountain of feathers, and leaning woozily on Tempest, decided taking a break would be a good idea right about now.

The knights brutalized the carcass for items. Rei did too, and claimed multiple copies of those black paper piece. So this chicken's pretty rich...by shadow's standard?
