Edana held fast with her spear. She gave a disgruntled yell, as the dragon bit down on her back side. Despite the fact that she was wearing armor, she could feel his teeth as they grabbed at her backside. The armor dented in one place, and jutted into her hide. A few bruises were to be expected from the assault. Even if he hadn't bit her flesh, the armor pushing against her was damaging enough. The armor did it's job though. She didn't bleed.
On her feet still, she continued to hold her ground after he let go. A wicked grin across her face. Did he like the taste of her steel?
Edana locked eyes with the dragon and hissed, holding the spear towards his face. She thrusts it close to his eye. Let him try to bite her again. Maybe not today, since he face was already bound. It was something she would not soon forget.
She gave another battle shriek, to rally up the efforts and morale of the mares, after one of their own fell to the ground. Death in battle, was something they were all accustomed to. In finding a good suitor for a strong brood, even this, was part of war.
After it seemed he would not get back up, she propped the spear into the ground with a hard stab and a grunt. There might of been some anger release in that jab, as she pictured it going into his scaly flesh instead..
Cold white eyes stared at him, peering through him. Hot eyes of anger, that imagined the things she could do to him if he wasn't the prize of the day. Only looking away when the silence given to those that spoke to her, would of turned awkward.
"Yes, Honor to us all." she held her head up high in response to her daughters comment. "The job is not over yet." she said, and looked at Dragoona. "He will walk, or we will drag him through mud and rock." She said with the intent on the dragon listening. Though, they had planned to use a fulcrum to hoist him onto a bed of logs, then roll him on it to camp. This was the less ideal option, and would take well into the night.
"Tend to the injured, get them back to the roost immediately." she told the healers that had come along.
"This sister is yours to tend to." she raised her nose in the air, looking at Xana. Then looking back over her shoulder, to the sister that lay lifeless on the ground. "She gave her life for you. Be sure that she makes it back home." she added, in a stern, yet almost soft voice. That voice that only a respected daughter could evoke. It didn't mean that she wouldn't counsel her daughter for her mistakes later. A mistake that could of cost them much more than one life, and many injured. "Your actions were careless." she whispered with a sharp tongue to Xana as she walked by. Even if it hadn't been her fault, fault would be found. Edana couldn't afford weakness, or mercy. It was her job to be hard on even her closest blood.
Making her way around the dragon, she made sure things were in order. Never did she turn her back to him. When done, she called out to Dragoona and a few others to flank her. "Let us see what his answer will be." Then she approached the face of the fire red creature. Leaning down, she put a claw on the ropes around his muzzle, and lifted them towards her. She forced his gaze and glared at him. "So what will it be, dragon?" she said the word dragon each time, with a bit of sarcasm in her voice. "Will you walk like a stallion?" she asked, as if challenging his malehood. "Or be dragged through the mud like a pig." She spat the word pig. Edana lifted her chin as she asked the second question, looking down on him with disgust if he choose this path.
