Selh'nnor waited for Quinn to check around and then answer. "A useful sounding move! I wish I could learn it. The most I can do is hide in shadows or make the humans sleep. And that's not very useful for observing them." She replied with a nod. She could understand that he knew more about humans than she and that it would take too long to tell it all. She gently touched his paw when he extended it and although you could see a grin you could tell she was. "Lovely to meet you Quinn. It is nice to meet another so interested in humans." She was slightly surprised when he transformed into a Darkrai, "Maybe once this is done we can share... material. Is that human you were watching one you know?" She had noticed him checking on Magnolia and wondered if she was one of his observation subjects.

Lore placed their hands on their hips, watching the fireworks with the younger guy appreciatively. Eyes stuck to the spectacle, they didn't notice the unhappy leer that could be interpreted as rather unfriendly. They did, however, hear... something from his general direction. The adventurer wasn't very skilled at picking out words amidst noise, but guessed their meaning. Lore turned their gaze to them with a pleased expression and nodded once, before noticing the sweet aroma of freshly cooked food. It set their stomach rumbling instantly. Since the guy seemed to be alone and looked so sour, the hiker figured perhaps mistakenly that a little companionship could go a short way cheering him up. The gray trainer gestured with their head towards the glorious-smelling booth, inviting them to come sit together. Usually, Lore was too prudish to do anything that could be misinterpreted as 'picking someone up', but the festival mood had gotten them terribly pumped about socializing. They could have never guessed that he didn't actually come to the festival, but was only passing through. With that, they headed over to look at the menu. If anyone were to pay attention, they would see that Lore's shadow lagged behind them noticeably- it stretched and bounced back to its natural size, but not before it had undone a couple pairs of laces on its way. And then it snickered.

The trainer just looked into the sky as other trainers from all around the world seemed to be able to get to places with flying pokemon. I ought to catch something like those. I wonder if Piko can fly me to places? He wasn't even sure if his Togekiss was one of those pokemon that could carry trainers. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable would know...Skyweaver flicked his ears as he heard a trainer yell out names really loud. Slowly, he turned around knowing that they were still far away from the yelling, and took a curious peek. A trainer was yelling at her pokemon to behave. They were big and intimidating dog like creatures. The Riolu didn't know how to react and hid behind Niko's legs, his tail tucked in between his own. His sensitive ears alerted him that something was coming their way. Followed by footsteps of a human. Could it be the same trainer? He closed his eyes and whimpered, but it was not loud enough for Niko to hear for his trainer just finished buying a fish cake to eat form one of the food stalls there. "Hey! Niko!"Of course, when he was about to bite into the freshly baked pastry with delicious fillings inside, someone had to call out his name. Turning around to see who it was, he noticed a Torchic riding on a somewhat tame Growlithe. They were charging right at him. Surprised, he just stood there as he bit into the fishcake and watched them come closer to him. It wasn't until they stopped and were looking at him that he knew which Torchic it was. "Alexa," he said out loud after swallowing down his first bite of food. He looked into the direction of where the pokemon came from and saw her running he way toward him. "Alexa! Long time no see!" he called out as he greeted her. Skyweaver stuck close to his trainer and peeked his head out between Niko's legs, watching the strangers every move.

Emalthya and Pheonix walked through the crowded festival, hand in claw. They got a few angry glares and mutters because of how large Pheonix was, but no-one wanted to start anything with a charizard.
"Look! Look, doughnuts!" cried Emalthya. She tugged Pheonix over to the doughnut stall. "Two doughnuts, please," she asked the vendor, handing over some pokedollars.
The vendor smiled stiffly at Pheonix and tried not to look too intimidated. He slipped an extra doughnut in the bag. "It looks like he will need more than one," he said in explanation.
"Probably true," said Emalthya sadly, looking at her flat purse. "We'll tell everyone we got them from here," she assured the vendor brightly. "Thank you!" Pheonix ducked his head under the stall bunting and smiled gratefully at the vendor, who handed over the doughnuts and waved weakly.
"Please come back again," he said faintly.
Pheonix stuck one of his doughnuts on his claw and nibbled it as they went. Emalthya munched hers much more quickly; she was hungry and fresh doughnuts were so good.
"Mm, look, fish!" she said around her doughnut. They went over to a stall where children were fishing for teeny tiny remoraid and feebas and magikarp. "I would suck at that game," she said to Pheonix. He grumbled at her around his own doughnut. He would suck at that game, also.
"I can't believe all the things people are wearing, look at that!" said Emalthya, admiring a lady's kimono. "I don't have a thing like that, and I'd never look as pretty as her. This is great; you never see things like this in the wilds."
Pheonix frowned. He had just been about to eat his second doughnut, but the thought of Emalthya not being totally happy with their nomadic and lean lifestyle made him lose his appetite. Maybe he should take up racing again and get some prize money? But they couldn't catch the attention of Team Rocket or whoever...
"Oh, look, a game where you have to pop balloons!" said Emalthya, pulling Pheonix over to another stall. She glanced at the prizes and judged them to be sub-par. "Is there anything you want to look at, Pheonix?"

Quinn turned to the Darkrai and nodded his head twice. "She's the only connection to humanity I have on a conversational basis. That girl knows nothing of me as a Mew and, instead, sees me as a human. It's easier to exchange information with my guise as a barrier. Unfortunately, her obliviousness regarding others leaves much to be desired. She's not the best example for learning about humans from, though she has provided some valuable information."
Magnolia tossed her last dart to the board in the back of the booth, popping her final balloon. Water splattered, staining the cork a dark brown, as the booth's owner approached her handiwork and whistled out a note. "Sharp eye there, missy!" he said, hands to hips. "Pick your prize."
Touching an erected forefinger to her lip, Magnolia slid eyes along the various array of plushies, trinkets, and things looking for something that may catch her interest. It was Asphodel who made the choice for her, though, extending an arm to a hanging Spheal doll overhead. "Kirl, kirlia, kirlia!" she cried aloud, reaching up on her tippy-toes for the toy too far out of her touch.
The lavender-haired trainer chuckled. "That one, please, sir," she said, nudging her chin towards the ball-like toy.
"Here you go!" the man said, offering the Spheal plush down to Magnolia after plucking it from the hanging pile above. "Enjoy and thanks for playing!"
At once, the fourteen year old handed it down to the Kirlia. "This is the one you wanted, right, Asphodel?" she asked.
"Kirl, kirl!" Asphodel cheered, holding the round toy on her head and pirouetting twice on her dainty feet.

Alexa finally reached Niko a few seconds after Chic and Nuka did. "Yeah it has been a while! I guess I should have expected to run into you here. I mean you live in Katarina after all." She said with a grin. She then noticed the food in his hands. "Oh... I'm sorry! Didn't mean to interrupt you while you getting some food." She took a sniff, "Mmmm it does smell good." She took a look around and saw a stall nearby selling crepes made with Magost berries. "Be right back!" She headed over to the stall and ordered one crepe and a small basket of various berries. Once she had her food she headed back to Niko. "All these different smells are making me hungry too." She commented before biting into her crepe. She then noticed the little head sticking out from behind Niko. "Awwww how cute! When did you get this cutie?" She asked bending down to look at Skyweaver. She tilted her head at him and then dug out a berry from the basket. She slowly held it out to him for surely he must be hungry too (it also helped to make friends with a new pokemon). Pox chirped at Niko wondering where the oddly colored Sia was. He noticed the little Riolu but wasn't interested in him.Nuka on the other hand was interested in Skyweaver or rather the fact that her trainer was giving him a berry. She butted her way in between the two and sat down wagging her tail. She loved berries; they were clearly her downfall seeing how that's how Alexa caught her.Apolla calmly followed after Alexa. She carried herself as if she was a queen and a couple of times when people would have walked on one of her tail she quietly glared at them. Soon people were giving her a wide berth. She stopped near Alexa and sat down. Her many tails flicked as she watched Nuka display no manners in an attempt to get a berry. She only hoped there was a Tangla berry in that basket.Selhe'nnor tilted her head as she listened to Quinn. When he was finished speaking she looked out from their hiding spot (keeping to the shadows of course) and checked on Magnolia. "So you can appear as a human too? Amazing." She said moving back further into the shadows of the stalls, "So she's been helpful but isn't the best for observing. At least now I know the point of all these stalls with no food. To win something by playing the game. Those little dolls look so cute! I wonder if anyone would notice if I took one." Indeed she was eying a plush Mareep doll. It looked so soft and fluffy.

The small well known gesture made, caused Mako to give a faint eyeroll, and huff of air. Well.. looks like he was getting roped into this. At least he could maybe stuff himself with some well made festival food. While carnival food could be a bit sketchy, those at festivals typically took more pride in the meals prepared, and made. After all, they were a representation of the celebration, and a big part of what drew people in even more.
His body was already tense as they headed for the thick gathering of people, lips pressing firmly as well, while his hands clung to the strap of his bag that rested against his flat chest. There was no doubt in his mind he was going to get bumped into, and probably pushed around a bit like a pin ball. It was the usual case in situations like these... one of the many downsides to being so darn small.
But as he advanced to the looming crowd, he did a double take to the dark silhouette that stalked behind the stranger who'd invited him into the yammering population, golden eyes widening with shock when.... the shadow moved unnaturally. His gait slowed a little, stunned, and also not sure if he believed what he'd just seen. Surely... that was just his tired eyes playing tricks on him. That had to be the reason.... Shaking his head, his glasses were plucked off his bridge, and a free hand wiped along his face to try and refresh himself the best he could. No time for seeing things.

While walking through the festival paths to the summit of fireworks, Emalthya felt herself jostled around. No person would willingly shove aside a charizard, which meant they were doubly likely to push her. Pheonix was holding her hand, still, but he was constantly a few steps in front of her, almost pulling her through the crowd, because of how she was buffeted by strangers.
At one point, pulled forward and pushed back, Emalthya tripped and stumbled, breaking her hold on Pheonix. Someone, annoyed that she was in their way, elbowed past her and swore at her angrily. Before she could turn around and confront them for being so rude, he was already lost in the crowd.
Pheonix waded through the masses of people and took Emalthya's hand again when he found her, easily recognisable with her black hair bows. He noticed that she looked withdrawn and sad, her head was bowed. She might have had tears in her eyes, but Pheonix was too tall to see clearly and his neck just wouldn't go that low. He tried to peer into her face, but he was still too tall and he made an inquiring sound. People frowned as they had to walk around them, but while Pheonix did not know scary face, it was the kind of move which came naturally to a charizard and they said nothing.
Emalthya put her head on his chest briefly and then began to slog forward again. "I just hate all these people," she said miserably. She half wished she and Pheonix could just go back to where they were staying and leave this hell full of pushing, rude people who ruin it for everyone else. But Saphire didn't get a choice in what she wanted to do, she couldn't come even if she wanted to. Emalthya felt that she and Pheonix should try and experience it for Saphire and then tell her all about the good things.
Pheonix himself was sure he would be thankful when he got out of this crowd and into the sparse area to watch the fireworks. He paid closer attention to Emalthya thereafter, ready to glare at anyone who wanted to upset her more. It was supposed to be a festival full of fun and frolic, Mouldy Pokeblocks! And he would make it just as fun as it could be, even if he had to learn roar and empty the fairgrounds!

The paths through the gardens were long and the people still jostled, but Emalthya tried not to take it personally and stood her ground. She noticed plates stacked with Moon Cakes but she was unsure if she would care for the flavour. Pheonix ate his second doughnut.
A pale woman in front of Emalthya and Pheonix dropped her plain white fan. Emalthya stooped down to pick it up from the dust kicked up from so many feet.
"Here you are," said Emalthya brightly, offering the fan back to its owner.
The woman gave Emalthya a look of revulsion and waved her hand in front of Emalthya dismissively. "I don't want it now! It's all dirty! I have others."
Emalthya felt numb with shock. "I was just... picking it up," she said as Pheonix put one arm around her shoulders and hurried her along, the fan still in her clammy hand.
Pheonix pushed Emalthya forward until there was a break in the lines of stalls and they crossed into the gardens for some privacy and breathing space. Neither he nor Emalthya had seen any of the intervening stalls properly. Emalthya's eyes were glazed in shock.
"Why are people so rotten?" she asked plaintively.
Pheonix murmured and shook his head. He didn't know. Maybe the best thing to do for this festival was to keep as far away from people as possible. But people ran the stalls and sold the food and played the games, so it would be hard to have fun without people. Pheonix suddenly wished there was a festival run by pokemon that he could go to with his human. Maybe even with a big pool for water pokemon. He hoped that if such a place were to exist, Emalthya would be allowed there. He would vouch for her, and Saphire; they both would.
Pheonix took the fan from Emalthya's surprisingly stiff grip and flicked it open. It wasn't too badly marked by dust; he could barely tell and he waved it a few times for good measure. Then he began to dance around with it in a clumsy parody of the traditionally clad dancing girls he had seen on stage earlier. He hummed and growled some music, as similar to the dancing music as he could remember. He passed the fan from claw to claw and twisted his neck sinuously and then jerked to hold a pose. He only stopped dancing when Emalthya's laughter overcame her and she had to sit down to avoid falling over or wetting herself.
Pheonix then leaned his head down to press it against hers, his entire body crouched down to admit this position. He grumbled reassuringly.
Emalthya kissed his nose. "You're the best, Pheonix," she said gratefully. "We should go through the gardens to the fireworks; no-one will bother us that way. I hope..."

Bluedemonwolf Sorry i had not been feeling well these days "Haha, yeah. My apartment is just a few blocks away from these festival grounds," he replied back after quickly swallowing his food. "Don't apologize." He just stood there and watched Alexa order herself something to eat from the snack stalls. When she came back, he felt a bit nervous and took another bite from his warm snack. "Mhm," he replied toward her comment about the lovely odours of freshly made food. Skyweaver peeked his head out and stared at the female trainer. "I got him while I was traveling to drop off a package. For work, " he told her and continued on eating. The little pup sniffed her hand and smelled the berry. He hesitated at first but couldn't resist the temptation. Opening his mouth, he licked her palm and sucked the berry inside. Niko looked down at the Torchic he had met before. "Sorry Pox, Sia is not here. This is Skyweaver," he told the chic and petted the Riolu on his head. The pokemon wagged his tail as he ate the stranger's berry. He remained calm when Nuka forced her way on over. What was even more distracting was the other pokemon that trailed after Alexa. "That one yours too?" he asked, staring at Apolla. "You've got quite a handful there."

FrostyPeaches That's okay. I hope you're doing better now! <33 Alexa looked up at him and grinned. "Must be nice to live so close. Once you get your fill you can just walk home. I gotta stay at my brother's place or the Pokemon Center for the night. Don't think I'll be up to flying tonight after this is done." She said before focusing back on Skyweaver, "That's pretty cool that you got him while you were traveling for work. He is super handsome." She smiled at him when he took the berry and then offered one to Nuka. Taking a moment while the two pups ate she ate some of her crepe. She looked up with a 'hmm?' when Niko asked if that one was hers too. She looked around and spotted Apolla right next to her staring at her unhappily. "Oh yeah. This is Apolla. She's actually one of my better behaved ones." She said looking at the basket for a Tangla berry. There was only one so she made sure her Ninetales got it. She then finished off her food and shrugged. "Yeah I've got a lot and some of them are a handful but I love them all and wouldn't trade them for the world." She said before frowning, "Although on my way here I caught a pokemon but I'm not sure what to do with it. It's not a fire type or one I'm really interested in keeping but Masked Socks fought it and I just reacted by throwing the pokeball. Maybe I should see about trading it or just releasing it." Pox clucked his disapproval over Sia not being here. He then hopped over to the berry basket and helped himself to one. He kept an eye on Nuka as she woofed down hers. He didn't want her to steal his.Nuka woofed down her berry in no time and began looking for more. She spotted Apolla slowly eating hers and crouched down to sneak over. A sudden growl dissuaded her from following through that course of action. She pouted a little and whined pawing at Alexa for another.Apolla happily ate her berry savoring it. She growled at Nuka when she noticed the young pup crouching down. No one was stealing her berry. When she was done she looked up at Niko and flicked her tails. She certainly hoped he wasn't implying that she was a handful. If he was then he had never met Vincent or Masked Socks or Farvardin... heck anyone else on Alexa's team besides her.
