Zar couldn't help but laugh as Barth's horse promptly abandoned him and made a little show of prancing on his own horse. Once again he almost fell off the cliff.
"Oh for goodness sake!" he snapped irritably.

"It's probably better that way. Gets the -um, you know, I'm sure. There are many good qualities about walks. Many, many qualities."
He walked into a spiderweb.

"I'm sure walking will do you good, keep you as lean and fit as you are." he couldn't help but give a smug sidelong grin to the other man as he walked along on foot. "Besides I get a nice view of you from up here"
He was too busy watching Barth to notice the spiderweb either - it turned out to be very large indeed.
"Run." he suggested. "It's even better than walking."

Zar could hardly believe the bouts of misfortune which beset Barth, and as the arrows stuck him, he dismounted his horse and ran to the other man's side. His horse took the opportunity to bolt away from the scene as fast as its hooves could take it.

It was another day, another attempt to climb the damnable mountain. Zar wasn't feeling all that great in general lately he was realising, he felt a little run down, a little out of sorts and had to hope he wasn't dying of some imbalance of the humours or worse.
"Barth darling, be a dear and at least try not to draw the wrath of the forest today, would you?"

Zar's own horse was back, safe and sound as always and he didn't much grudge it escaping the horrible, horrible mountain. When it saw the bees outside, it simply wouldn't budge, having learned its lesson.
He didn't have the heart to scold it and just shouldered his food himself.

Spotting a giant hairy rustling in the distance, he spurred the horse to move just a hair quicker.
