Flit shrugged slightly as he canted his head to one side. "I think they use it to hunt for the grass-eaters, not to eat." Flit nudged the arrowhead with his nose as he thumped his tail on the ground, causing dust to form in the air around his rump.
Flit jumped to his feet and circled the arrowhead a few times. He yipped quietly and then glanced at Kite to see what his reaction was.

Kite was now confused. What did this human thing use to hunt grass eaters? He twitched his ears, brows furrowing as he thought about it.
Ah.
Maybe it wasn't what it was. Maybe it was a thing for humans? Whatever those were. He wasn't sure though.
He jumped out of his reverie at Flit's yip, and lowered his head down to nose the thing, flipping it once.
"It looks like a rock."

Flit nodded his head and pushed the arrowhead aside. "I think it was one, but the humans sharpened them, like the mountain lions to do their claws. I wonder if they use trees to sharpen the rocks." He walked over to the arrowhead again, but this time instead of circling it, he yipped loudly at the sharpened rock. It puzzled him that humans ate the same kind of food that his kin did. He shook his coat slightly to rid it of the melted snow that had collected on the fur. Wandering back to Kite, he pinned his ears back and glanced behind Kite at the scenery.

"I think that would hurt."
He considered the idea of having rocks for claws and then having them fall off, and flexed his own paws in sympathy. Humans, whatever they were, must have had heavy feet.
"Oh it is getting late!" Kite looked around quickly and excitedly, although his reasons would have been unknown to others. He carefully spun in a circle to look around again, aparently forgeting that Flit was there.

Flit shrugged slightly as he sat down in front of Kite. "I don't know. Maybe. I would like to see one use those sharp rocks one day," he told Kite blandly. He, too, looked down at his paws as he dug his claws into the ground. He loved having paws. They were better than what the humans had.
Flit got startled when Kite started spinning around in a circle, ignoring the brightly colored wolf. He canted his head to one side and tried to say something to Kite, but saw that he was being ignored. Shaking his head, he flopped down on the ground and glanced up at the sky. The sun was starting to fall from the sky behind the mountains. 'So, he has somewhere to go. I have nowhere to go,' he thought to himself sadly.

Kite spun around once more, until he faced his friend again.
"It's almost dark! Dark dark! We must do something, or else the day will be gone without something new happening!"
He was so excited he was wiggling, his tail wagging and tounge lolling out, ready for another adventure. Kite detested ending days with nothing at the end. Sometimes he even did drastic things like jumping into rivers. He tried to avoid that though, as he caught colds because of things like that.

Flit canted his head to one side as his newfound friend started freaking out about not doing something new that day. He sighed quietly and hung his head down slightly. He had done something new today. He had met a new friend. He shrugged slightly and glanced around. "Umm....I don't think there is anything to do at this point. It is still winter." He was confused and very lost.

"Ehhhhh?"
He twitched slightly, a strange expression on his face. He didn't like that kind of negative attitude. There was always something to do. All that mattered was that you were doing something. Entropy was the lack of action. He was not ready to decay.
"Then RUN with me! Lets do something! Anything! HAVE FUN!"
He bounced, getting closer to his friend, excitement painted on his features.

Flit nearly jumped when he heard Kite's words. Run? He glanced around the snowy meadow and sighed. There was a nice, sturdy, flat ground to run on. He did love to run, too. he slowly got to all fours and let kite bound towards him. "Alright, lets run!" he said in a chipper voice.

As soon as he heard the answer Kite snaped around 90 degrees and ran off, quicker then you would expect for such a small wolf. He was really into it, ears pinned back, body low to the ground, a grin on his face as he tore accros the frozen ground, kicking up little bits of grass and dirt and ice. He ran on for a minute at least, puting measureable distance between himself and the hill before tearing into a tree filled area, still running. The adrenaline, the action, everything made his heart race and his mind sharp, and he loved it.
He suddenly stopped though, grinding to a halt just before a tree, dangerously close to it, and spun around to face the direction he had run from, a pleased expression on his face as he panted, waiting for his friend.

Flit began running after Kite, his muscles bunching as he took each stride with ease. He lowered his head so that it was even with his back and pinned his ears back against his skull. he loved to run. He let his tail fly out behind him, helping him keep his balance. He could see the snow and ice that Kite was kicking up behind him, but the brightly colored wolf didn't care. He carefully avoided Kite's path as he slowed his pace down a little bit. He could feel that his traction was starting to falter and he didn't want to get hurt.
Several minutes after Kite came to a halt, Flit slid to a halt beside his newfound friend and began to pant, too. He stood on all fours, afraid that if he sat down he might pull a muscle. "That...was...fun," he said in between pants.

"Indeed!" Kite announced grandly, out of breath and happy for it.
"I told you there is always something to do," he added, gasping for breath a bit before continuing.
"But, my friend, I believe this is where we part," he said, with a small smile, "for I have places that I have yet to be, and you probably do as well. I hope I can count on seeing you again?"
He wagged his tail and continued to gasp for breath.

Flit nodded his head. "You were right." He slowly began to steady his breathing in time to hear that it was time for them to go their seperate ways. He sighed and whimpered slightly. "I was hoping to spend more time with you, friend, but if we must depart, then i will not stop you from going on your way. I hope to see you again someday." he wagged his tail happily at his new friend. He bowed his head down low to Kite, turned around and started walking away. he was happy to find a new friend.
