Samoset let out a bellowing laugh as Aysun raced to catch up and continued to swing onward and toward the river. He could easily keep tabs on where they were from where he stood, espescially Maw, who was keeping up with him, much to his expectations. However, Aysun seemed to be having some trouble because of a laughing fit he was having over his Kinfa. Watching Sunshine waddle and fuss made Samoset laugh harder. He had to admit it was cute, at the very least, maybe even endearing. But all thoughts on that subject were lost as the sound of rushing water came closer and closer, like the finish line of a race.

"I'm up here, genius!" He called, shimmying down the vine so he was closer to Aysun's plane of sight. "Does your bird plan on catching up any time soon, or will she be waddling like a confused youngling for the rest of the journey?"

"The exercise is good for her." Aysun told Sam, watching the way that he came sliding down one of the vines that he'd been swinging on. He jogged over to where Samoset was before he paused, turning to look toward Sunshine who really was doing her best to keep up... though in the laziest manner possible. No flapping of her wings, no attempts to fly, she was just running along as Pembe would do. Giving a sigh he rested his hands on his hips and said, "I think she's hung out with my Scorra too long, she might not even know what sort of bird she is. We are definitely going to have to do some flying lessons soon." He said to Sam, watching as Sunshine slowly closed the distance between them.

Once she'd finally caught up he squatted down in front of her, reaching out to pet the confused Kinfa, and said, "You really do need to learn how to fly, my Sunshine." He told her, scooping the big bird up into his arms, then turned to Sam as the bird shifted and got comfortable, "Come on, it will be quicker this way... so long as you don't mind me taking on a handicap for the rest of the race to the river." He gave Sam a smile before he started to job along again, significantly slower though since he was carrying the bird along in his arms now. Regardless of the chance in his pace though it was obvious they would still get there fast then if they had waited for Sunshine to walk the whole way.

Upon arriving Aysun gave a happy sound, setting Sunshine down on her own two feet, then called to Maw, "Wait! Maw! You need to let me take your packs off before you charge into the river!" He said, waving his hands to get the janarim's attention. He then looked to Sam, "I don't think they have rivers in Oba or something, Maw always seems so excited every time we come across one and just wants to play in it."

Samoset watched Sunshine run along and couldn't help but chuckle. A bird that thought it was another bird? That was a bit ridiculous. He shimmed himself back up the vine and swung forward again, only pausing to face Aysun as he spoke.

"Nah, I don't mind, whatever makes Sunshine comfortable." He said, his thoughts more focused on getting to the river than the bird. As soon as he spotted the water, he hopped off of the vine and allowed himself to land just a few feet from the water, before turning back to Aysun.

"Well, duh, Oba's nothing but a desert wasteland. Any water there must be sacred." He quipped, waving his hand about. The water did look nice, though, maybe a swim wouldn't be a bad idea? His lips puckered at the thought. Mmm, he didn't bring a change of clothes. He couldn't go swimming naked or in these thin pieces of cloth that Kennet called clothes. His eyes moved around as he thought, blinked, and turned to Aysun. "Sooo... What were we doing here again? I forgot."

Aysun trotted over to where Samoset was standing, setting Sunshine down on her feet, before he gave a pat on the head, "Here we are." He said, giving him a smile before he turned to look over toward Maw who was sort of bouncing from side to side along the edge of the stream. It was obvious that he wanted to go in by the look on his face, at least to Aysun, but he was also waiting, "Come here, Maw, I will relieve you of your burden then you can go play." He told him, waiting for the janarim to join him. Once the janarim had come over to then, squatting down where he was easier to reach, Aysun set to work removing everything he was wearing.

The last thing he removed was the big pack, easing it down carefully so as not to damage the contents, "Easy now." He said, opening the pack so that he could scoop a young radaku pup from it, "Alright, Sinnika, it's for you to wake up you lazy little pup." He told him, setting the tri-colored pup on his feet, scratching him under the chin, "Isn't he cute? My friend gave him to me! And look, look!" He motioned to the radaku's mane which he'd done up in various little braids with beads in it, "He actually looks quite nice, huh? I did them myself! Though... I suppose I will need to undo them for now, since we are about to have bath time."

Turning to Samoset he gave a smile, "Bath time, scrubbing them cleaning, trimming nails, brushing hair, that sort of thing. I need to look Sinnika over for any dry patches on his skin, Maw for any loose scales since it seems janarim shed them and regrow them when needed. For Sunshine and Pembe, we need to check for damaged feathers." He paused for a moment, glanced over at Samoset, then asked, "Do you know how to preen feathers? No matter, I can show you."

"Alright, shall we?" He said, stripping down out his clothing, save for his pants, and trotted over toward the water with his animals following along... save for Maw who was already splashing about.

Samoset watched Aysun take everything off of Maw and blinked as he retrieved Sinnika from the pack. A Radaku pup in a bag? Kind of... Cute. He knelt down to the pup's level and made a clicking noise to see if he would come over before looking up to Aysun. They were cleaning the animals? Oh, well, it was a good thing he was wearing short clothes, then. ... Or was it?

"I don't know how to preen feathers, no." He replied, averting his gaze as Aysun appeared to be stripping down. Thankfully, he'd left his pants on, drawing a subtle sigh of relief from the hybrid's lips. He didn't want to be caught out here with a naked human, now did he? It was unfathomable what kind of repercussions that would cause for him back home. Still... Why was he finding it so hard no to stare at Aysun's ches-

No, he had to stop these thoughts right now.

"Ah, uh, ... Sure?" He said, shuffling toward Aysun. "... Where do we start?"

Sinnika turned to look over at Samoset, his eyes going wide, tail swishing for a moment. The little one bounced back and forth for a moment, looking as though he were considering pouncing on Samoset... before he realized that Aysun was going into the water. It was then that the pup seemed to change his mind, racing after Aysun so that he could splash about in the water around the blue eyed male's legs.

Aysun gave a bit of a chuckle before he looked over at Samoset, "It's pretty simple, I can show you if it's needed but with Sunshine getting older she's basically got it figured out. We just need to look her over to make sure is all." He explained to Samoset as he turned back to his pets who were currently playing in the water, "We can start with Sinnika, then move onto Maw if you'd prefer?" He said, sitting down in the shallow water and gave a whistle for the Radaku pup. The little one rushed toward him, slid to a stop, then set to running circles around him staying just out of reach. It was something that had him instantly chuckling as he reached out, trying to catch him each time he passed by.

"Sinnika! Come on now, you know it's bath time!" He told the radaku, trying to catch it again though it once more dodge his attempts and went racing toward Samoset instead, ducking behind his legs, tail wagging rapidly as he playfully took cover. Aysun gave the radaku a glance before looking to Samoset, "Can you try to scoop him up? The worst he will do is squirm about in your arms, he's still in training and quite young so he's quite wiggly compared to the others at the moment."

Samoset watched Sinnika curiously and couldn't help but smile even as he walked away. Aww! It was so cute! Why did it have to be cute? He was a sucker for cute things... He turned his attention away as Sinnika splashed around, hoping to keep his mind off how adorable he was, and only turned back when Aysun spoke. Start with the pup, huh? He looked to Maw and then to Sinnika running around his legs. Scoop him up? Sounded easy enough.

"Alright, come on you... Silly thing!" He called, bending down to scoop the Radaku pup up from under his legs. "Time to get clean, it's a fact of life!"

He chuckled and gave Sinnika a pat, before moving toward the water.

"Oh, well, that's fine." He said, nodding. "... He's cute like this."

Aysun gave a smile as Sam was able to capture the squirmy radaku pup, "Good job! Now we just have to get him cleaned up and hope he doesn't roll in the mud the moment we're done." It was a possibility with Sinnika, a pretty likely one in fact, but so long as they got him cleaned up and checked over for any dried skin, scratches, or things like ticks that was what mattered most. A little dirt after the bath wouldn't really hurt the little one so long as it was after everything, including his inspection was done.

Reaching out Aysun gave Sinnika a scratch under the chin, "Alright, let's get you cleaned up little one." He said, carefully taking Sinnika from Sam's arms and waded into the water, "We won't go in too deep with Sinnika since he still little." Unlike Maw who was splashing about in the deeper water he was a lot more careful with the little pup. It was likely he was spoiling him a bit but he couldn't help it! He was just so little and cute! Sitting down in the water, with Sinnika on his lap, he got a handful of mud and set to scrubbing at the radaku's tri-colored skin.

"It seems a little counter productive but using mud is a good way to scrub him clean and gets rid of flaky skin."

Samoset tried to hide a pout as he handed Sinnika back to Aysun. He hated to admit that he liked the little pup, or that he was enjoying any of this to begin with. The hybrid nodded to Aysun and made his way into the water, before laughing at Maw.

"You'd think he'd be sending tremors through the Earth by how much he's splashing, huh?" He said, moving his way toward Aysun and Sinnika. "Mud-OH. Yeah, that's something called exfoliation. My dad taught us that. He does it to keep his hands, knees, and feet from getting too dry. He says it helps him get a better grip on his hammer."

He wouldn't admit that he liked to exfoliate, too, espescially on his hands. He liked how smooth they felt after he'd scrubbed at them, and often used it on his face, too. It made his face less prone to breaking out and got rid of a lot of oiliness. Kennet teased him about being a beauty queen because of it, though, not that he minding too much. He supposed his brother liked the rugged look.

"So..." He continued, looking up to Aysun. "What do you have planned for after we bathe the animals? More races?"

The intrusive suggestion of going back to his house made him blush, and it was quickly shoved away. No way in hell was he going to bring Aysun back home, it would send the wrong message to everyone else. But... Why did the idea feel so nice?

Aysun gave a smile, "Wow, you laughed! I am pretty impressed, I almost didn't think you were capable!" He said in a teasing manner. He gave Sam a little nudge before he returned his attention back to Sinnika. The little pup had started to talk down a bit as Aysun cleaned him up, as he did so he listened to what Sam was saying. Apparently his father was a fan of cleaning up with mud? Said that it helped him grip his hammer better? He gave a thoughtful sound then said, "I wonder if that's true? Hmmm." Given as often as he cleaned up his pets with the mud he must surely benefit as well. That would be helpful for the next time he needed to wield his weapon.

"More races? Naw, after bath time we will make sure that they've all gotten enough to drink, get some snacks, then we will go and take a nap in the sun!" Aysun clapped his hands together and said, "You're welcome to join us, of course, though I am not sure if that is something that you'd want to be a part of? It's nice though, sleeping in a big animal pile in the sun. It's pretty comfortable and relaxing. Well, so long as you don't mind being crowded by a bunch of beasts that is."

He wasn't quite certain if he could picture it, but one never knew." Once he'd finished up with Sinnika he let him go, allowing him to go rushing off away from him, shaking off as he went. Giving a laugh he called out, "Don't go to far, Sinnika!"

Samoset blushed and immediately turned his nose in the air. What a jerk! He was totally capable of laughing, it... Just didn't happen when he was uncomfortable! ... Though, the realization that he was comfortable with Aysun was hard for him to believe. Why did this feel so natural all of a sudden? Was he used to Aysun, or was it the company of a cute animal like Sinnika that was softening him? He sighed, and turned to watch Sinnika splash away.

"Oh, that... Actually sounds nice." He replied, his lips puckering as he mulled it over. "A bath, some lunch, and a nap. A pretty decent day."

He leaned back, allowing his head to rest against his arms, and stared up at the canopy.

"I think I'll join you... I've got nothing better to do."

Pushing up to his feet the soggy Aysun said, "Yeah, it's always nice to get a good nap after a lot of work. Especially the work that comes with bathing and feeding all these beasts." He said it in an affectionate manner though, not sounding as though he was at all bothered by the work he put in with them. Lifting two fingers to his lips he gave a whistle, calling Maw over to him. He gave a smile as the janarim came to join them in the more shallow water, leaning against him for a moment, "Were you having fun, Maw? Such a good boy! Yes you are!" He said, hopping up so that he could hang off to Maw's strong neck for a moment. After a moment of snuggling him he let himself fall back into the water.

"Alright, given how big this guy is I can use your help. It's the same as with Sinnika, handfuls of mud, and scrub him clean. Just make sure that he doesn't have any cuts, scrapes, or things like ticks, alright?" He said, leaning over to scoop up some mud, setting to work scrubbing at Maw's scales, "Doesn't he have the prettiest scales? He's the most beautiful janarim around!" He praised Maw as he scrubbed him clean.

Glancing over toward Samoset, his eyes going a little wide, he said, "Wow, so you'll nap with us? Fun!"

Samoset rolled back onto his feet as Aysun called Maw over and found himself, once again, frightened by the Janarim's size. He honestly didn't know what Aysun saw in Maw, but since he was having such a good time, he didn't really want to ruin it by questioning it. He moved slowly toward the pair, while bending to scoop up a handful of mud, and nodded slowly. Just... Rub this all over the giant animal. It'll be okay. Aysun wouldn't let Maw bite him... Would he?

"Neeeh..." He whined, rubbing at Maw's scales. "G-good boy, Maw. You're a... Pretty boy?"

He glanced up to the Janarim and then to Aysun, as if asking for approval, and reached down for more mud.

"Y-yeah! A nap in the sun sounds nice, actually." He stuttered, moving around to cover as much of Maw as he could. "B-but don't get any ideas like you did back in my room!"

He moved his face toward the shade, in hopes his blush would be hidden better, and sighed. Man... Good thing he was wearing his brother's baggy pants... Otherwise, he'd need to duck underwater to cool off, as embarrassing as it sounded. Stupid intrusive thoughts...

Aysun went about the cleaning effort, with Samoset's help, praising Maw all the while. As he did so he checked on Samoset from time to time, just to see how he was doing, but didn't get in the way. Since Maw was in a pretty good mood he didn't seem to mind the extra pair of hands scrubbing him down, then again he was likely enjoying it. Nothing better then a good scrub down since it helped with itching. Better they scratched hsi itches then Maw doing it himself with those claws himself. Stepping back he went around him in a full circle, giving him a once he nodded, "Looks as though we got all of him covered."

"Alright, Maw! Time to rinse off!" He said, heading into deeper water, with Maw following along next to him. Once the water was up pretty high on the janarim he set to rinsing him off before started back toward the bank, "Alright! Nothing left to do but food and naps! Luckily they already had breakfast at home, now it's mostly snacks that I have in my pack."

Walking over to it he got out some dried fruits and meat, tossing some to each of his pets. Fruit went to the birds, meat went to everyone else, "Once their done we will see about going to lay down." He told Samoset, holding out some of the snacks to Samoset, "I will be nice and I promise not to whisper anything in your ears to mess with your dreams! So, fruit or meat?" He asked, seeing no reason not to partake in the treats since they weren't special animal only food.

Samoset was happy when they were heading back to the bank. Finally, it was time for snacks and a well deserved rest. He wasn't used to being up so early and getting right into work. Usually, he had time to wake up, gather himself as he liked, and set out at his leisure. With Aysun's interruption this morning, none of that had happened... Not that he could say he minded that right now.

"Ah, oh, fruit?" He said, tilting his head. "... Where are we going to take a nap? Just... Anywhere?"
