Hvergelmir nodded at Pharos's description of her Wonder, unruffled by the notion of her lighthouse broken and non-functional. Her own Wonder had been in sorry shape, too, when she'd started. Now, after all the scrubbing and elbow-grease she'd put into it, it was certainly no paradise, but it was a fair sight better than it had looked when she'd started.

"I've seen a few of them," she allowed, smiling. "Beautiful cities and places. Larger than mine, but -- it's been a long time since any of them had someone tending to them. They've mostly all gone to ruin. If you spend time working at yours, most people say they start to wake up on their own. Sometimes even plants will start to come back."

Hvergelmir nodded her understanding. "There was a garden on my Wonder," she explained. "It's barren too. I've thought about replanting it, but I don't know what I'd put in. I don't even really know if the soil's still any good. I was thinking of asking some friends if they'd let me plant things from their homeworlds, see what grows . . . It could be interesting."

She smiled. "I'd love to see your Wonder someday -- and to meet your ancestor. It would be an honor."
