"I'm sure there are people who... well. I'm sure there must be senshi out there who like to help newer ones, like us! I mean, there would not be so many... of us. Right? If we didn't work together some times."
She thought it made sense, but her nerves were getting the better of her and her words were starting to come out a little less gracefully than she would like. She hated when she started to stutter.
"I mean, I don't think we're rare, is what I'm.. I met you, and that very nice fellow, and you must know others, who know others. Maybe we just don't have enough connections yet... well, I don't know. I've only just started getting used to all this."
She was hopeful, and she couldn't help but look at the bright side of things.
"Well, uh, what are you out here doing tonight? Maybe we could just go and find some other senshi and make some new contacts. Oh heavens, I never thought that would be something I'd say!"
If only her parents could see her now!

"I did meet one senshi with what is best descrived as hip or buttwings." Elpis admitted, rubbing her face. "You might be right though - I don't know a lot of people either, so finding new contacts might be more beneficial than patrolling like I normally do." Elpis looked embarrassed then, head tilting. "Looking for new contacts is probably the smarter idea, if you'd like to look together?" Elpis offered a hand, still awkward. "I mean, safer too, yeah?"

"Buttwings?" Sinistra echoed on instinct, and then blushed brightly at what she had said. She was not usually one to use... sordid language of any sort. She tried to keep her language more... refined, if she could.
Butt was about as close to a curse as she liked to get, and it still made her feel rude.
"Oh, yes, of course!"
She took Elpis' hand for an awkward moment, then chuckled and skittered to start their patrol together. She did hope they managed to find someone to talk to and add to their phones. Maybe someone with those wings Elpis mentioned. She wondered if those meant anything. Would she get wings? She certainly hoped they were not on her butt!
"So uhm... how have you been? You look well."

"Yeeeaaah. But she was also intelligent seeming, som you know, I'll overlok awkward wing placement." Elpis admitted, walking with Sinistra. Admittedly, the entre notion was weird and awkeard and confusing and - ugh. Elpis internally made a face, looking for signs of others idly. "Keeping busy. Patrolling. Ran into a spider so I'm considering investing in Raid soon." The senshi seemed thoughtful. "Learned about stuff we can do lately. Space travel mostly. Did you know we canvisit our homeworlds?"

"Spider?!"
She could not bear the idea of bugs or anything icky like that. She was classically girly in that sense: bugs, particularly spiders or cockroaches, and things like snakes and frogs totally creeped her out, and the last thing she wanted to do was run into them in the middle of the night.
She was not even thinking about it.
"I do hope you mean a normal kind of spider, but something tells me you're not."
Nothing was normal in this world any more.
"Ah, I've heard about it!" She had actually spoken about homeworlds to some others, though she had no idea how to do it for herself, "but I've not tried to go to mine. I'm not sure how to go about that, or what to expect. It seems fairly insane to think I can go to space! I bet it's terribly dusty there, though, if I'm the senshi of brooms."

"Seems part human, part spider. Weak though - my magic tore up his face a little." Elpis grinned viciously a moment, then seemed sheepish. "I haven't seen mine, either. I was told our phones are part of it, so we might look at them in a bit." Elpis seemed thoughtful. "I'm Metal.... Maybe there's iron up there." She shrugged, frowning.

Sinistra was trying not to look as horrified as she felt, but she was failing spectacularly.
Even if the half... human spider... monster thing was 'weak', it still existed, and that was something Sinistra could hardly stomach. She never, ever, wanted to meet it, or anything like it.
Ever.
"Well, if we do figure out how to visit our homeworlds... uhm," she tried not to think about the spider any more, focusing on the whole space travel thing, "I would gladly take you to visit mine. Maybe by the next time we meet up, I'll have figured it out!"
With a learning goal set, she was now determined to get herself to her homeworld, and learn how to do things properly so she might have something interesting and cool to show off to her friend and inadvertent mentor.

"I'd like that." Elpis admitted, happy to drop the Coffinite encounter for now. "Once I get to mine and do some scoping, I'd be happy to take you to mine as well, if you like. We can compare things, see if there's patterns or something."

"That would be fascinating! We'll make a big study session of it for sure! Oh, that sounds amazing to me. I can't wait! I'll try to get to my homeworld as soon as possible, then!"
She laughed at her own excitement and beamed at Elpis excitedly. Turning anything into a learning chance was always going to make her happy.
"Well, anyway, now that we have that planned, what are you up to tonight? Would you like to patrol with me for a bit?" She didn't want to intrude, and immediately regretted asking. What if Elpis already had plans, and now felt obligated to accommodate Sinistra and had to give them up? Or worse, what if she just declined and made Sinistra feel like an idiot for asking in the first place? Which she was, clearly.
She quickly lost all that new confidence she had gathered so far in their encounters. Making friends was very difficult, and it would be a slow process for her.

"I' love to." Elpis grinned. "Patrolling alone is less safe than with someone else." The senshi bemed, happily, and winked. "Besides, if something tries anything, help is right there. But so far it's quiet tonight, so we should be safe."

NovaCracker We could probably wrap this one up and have them meet up again, maybe get into trouble. I haven't gotten any space stuff thought up for her yet so no SInistra visits just yet XD
"Knock on wood, anyway," Sinistra chuckled, though she couldn't even summon her broom and knock on that since it wasn't a real one.
"Oh! I learned a bit about my magic. I know what the attack is called, and... kind of what it does. Not much, but at least I've used it once! It seems I can make a little gust of wind from a broom, but... it certainly will kick up a lot of dust and... oh dear."

"Did you?" Elpisd beamed, nodding. "Dust and air can be useful in a fight if you play it right." The older senshi admitted, nodding. "In my case I've used mine a couple times too... I'd rather save it for an enemy to be truthful. Metal cluster that explodes when it's thrown." She had mixed feelings about it as well- did she use it to do harm, or did she use it to do good? Was it really safe if others were close? Was it even SAFE?

Sinistra was not sure she wanted to utilize her worst enemy, dirt, in a fight, but she supposed she would have to use the powers that were given to her. It did not seem like she had much of a choice in the matter, anyway, but that was fine... she would learn to deal with it...
Maybe...
"Your magic sounds much more useful in a fight than mine! It sounds positively horrid! I mean, well. Not horrid, for you, but uhm. What it might do to someone could be... uhm. Well, anyway! I'm sure you look lovely while you use it, and you are probably much better with your magic than I am." She smiled bashfully, thinking maybe one day she would get the hang of this 'social' thing.
One day.
"I'm not sure if I'd want to see it in action or not, but then, if I was in need of defending, I doubt a dust of air will do it."

NovaCracker I think this is a wrap from me.
"Well, we should probably keep our guard up, but maybe after I meet with my friend again, I'll know a bit more about fighting and we can practice together? I think I'm too hopeless right now to help you, or do myself any good."
It would be like fighting a teddy bear. That had no arms.
She was all too happy to finish the night with patrolling with Elpis, talking to her about whatever came to mind, if only because she had very little practice in talking to anyone and was overcompensating a bit for her confusion about casual conversation.
