Lysithea shook her head. “Don’t leave me, don’t leave me…I can fix this. I can fix you. I can save you, Merlinite…I can save you…I will save you…”
The senshi thought she was losing her mind…all she could feel was pain and heartbreak and it was just so much…so much.
“Merlinite just stay with me and I’ll fix you, I promise I’ll fix you…” She couldn’t stop the flow of the tears, everything was overwhelming and she knew she needed to get to the hospital…but she didn’t even have anyone there to help her…this wasn’t fair...he needed help too…why wasn’t she able to do anything.
Finally Lysithea scrubbed at her eyes and looked at the half youma, her lip trembling just slightly. “Merlinite…please…”
She wasn’t even sure what she was asking…or hoping for…or anything… And part of her knew it was hopeless…he looked as frightened as she felt…But she would save him…she would…if it was the last thing she ever did, she would save him one day.

Merlinite hesitated, trembling visibly now.
How was she going to help him? what could she do? She didn't have the power to fix what Painite had broken, and as far as he knew, no one did. Not even Camelot could help him now, and why would he want to? After what Painite did, what Merlinite let her do... this was what he deserved.
He knew he was no hero. No knight. A dragon, a monster... that seemed much more fitting.
"You can't... please... just..."
It hurt him to see her cry. He had to get away from her, before he hurt her worse. Physically or emotionally, at this point he was not sure which was worse. Or how much damage he could really keep doing to her. He had done more than enough.
Shaking his head, he crouched down and let his instincts tell him how to move. He took off at a run, digging his claws into the ground with each stride and launching himself forward. He was much faster now, to his own surprise, and that speed took him away from her at a startling pace. But it was for the best.
He wanted it to be for the best.
