Teiluj felt a stab of pain at the way Isaris looked at her. Slouching her shoulders forward Teiluj wondered if it was because she was a hybrid. Not many pure-bloods liked to associate with her based on the features alone. And it hurt every time someone rejected her on that merit. Was he trying to shut her out because they were both Pure-bloods and she wasn't? Her eyes dropped away sadly but she made no comment on the subject. Bringing it up or confronting it head on had only made matters worse in the past which was not a situation she wanted to try again.
"Lets try the healers stalls." Teiluj suggested pointing off to the left. "There are a couple that way that I know of. And yes I am learning to become a healer." Teiluj smiled up at the youngling warmly. "There is someone who I couldn't stop from getting hurt. Now he's lost his memory, I have to do what I can to help him feel better and hopefully recover it."
Glancing back to where the large Kinfa was standing on a limb Teiluj shook her head. Starline would not be able to join her in the crowd, she was alone this time. Tao was too small to be of help and Pacju who would have been able to sniff out the younglings 'Mamae' was back with her mother out in the forest somewhere. They were off meeting someone today, though Teiluj had no idea who. She had learned that Maya had met with Neibet the day before last.
Staggering to the side as an elbow pushed into her Teiluj looked back as a female continued to walk by. Sighing she started towards the stalls hoping to be of help leading the way.

"Mamae is a healer." Virain commented, trying to shift a bit more so that his weight would stop trying to tip backwards. While he was sure Isaris wouldn't drop him, he didn't want to slip and have the male unable to catch him. "Mistress is sick again and Mamae used the last of our stock helping her. Papa is afraid that Master will fall sick too so Mamae come here today." He made a face, "Papa usually makes sure we have enough to last, so I think someone is taking from the stores."
He fiddled with his necklace, "When we find Mamae you can ask her to teach you how to heal Mistress...?" He said trailing off as he didn't know her name, eyes carefully scanning the crowd from his new perch. He couldn't see anyone who looked like his Mamae and swallowed down the dissapointment. The emotion turned a bit to anger when he saw the girl get elbowed out of the way, and the person who'd done it hadn't even apologized. He frowned at the retreating persons back and fisted his hands on his legs. Did she get bullied too? It wasn't his place to ask though, or even to question it.
Silence filled between them for a few seconds before Virain broke it again, trying to stay on a safe topic. "Master Isaris, what's your brother like? I don't have any friends my age, they're all adults or almost adults."

Isaris smiled up at the child, "He's growing rapidly without me noticing it seems. Though he'll always be shorter than me..." he trailed off to watch the female keep going, "Some people..." he muttered. glancing back to the female he let out a soft sigh, "Miss...your not hurt are you?"
He had stepped slightly forward to act as a blockade should she need it. The youth was taught to respect others after all. As much as he disliked having to interact with people at times, respect was vital to most settlements survival. Without it...no one would thrive. The male bit the inside of his cheek realizing that he sorta forgot that....
"I never caught your name..." he said to the female.

Teiluj cringed at being called a Mistress. It made her feel old and used and somewhat dirty. "Please, call me Teiluj. Mistress makes me feel rather uncomfortable." The hybrid girl responded quietly. Guiding the full blooded pair behind her as she walked. "Not that my name is really all the important anyway." Teiluj muttered quietly.
The concern about her she assumed was probably out of politeness than actual concern. Raising her hand to rub the spot Teiluj gave them a smile. "It ok. I can't really be hurt by something like this." At least not physically hurt. She wanted so much to belong to a tribe that consisted of more than just her mother, and yet, her blood was the reason they pushed her away. Like a curse. She was often rejected and pushed aside.
Stumbling a little as she noticed the proximity of the shifter blushing she tried to hide under the fringe of her hair. He was asking her name? "I-I'm Teiluj." The girl stammered. "That Kinfa up there that follows us, that's Starline." Her finger pointed towards the sky but didn't look up. Afraid of showing her red face to the boys. They were still a ways off from the stalls she was looking for.

"Mine is Tweet! He's the yellow one." Virain commented, refraining from pointing out his own Kinfa. The others were adults and were smart enough to realized that Tweet and Starline were the only two following them. "Bruises hurt, it's okay if you want to hide it though." Virain said, voice low as he rested his hands on the top of Isaris's head.
He knew the pain of hurts. His family's position wasn't a popular one in the household and Virain often times got the brunt of the displeasure. The others that he lived with, well. He pushed them out of his mind and tried to find his Mamae in the crowd again. "Mistress Teiluj why did you name your Kinfa Starline?"

The youth tilted his head a little the shadow of a smile pulling at the corner of his mouth. He glanced up to the child. Wondering just where these two came from. He was curious. The youngling on his shoulders and the female guiding them were peaking his minor curious nature. He looked them over then glanced up to the two Kinfa. Adorable, fluffy...by the moons he wanted one. He looked back to his two companions. Thinking.
"Interesting names...how did you two meet them?" He asked.

Teiluj stopped in her tracks turning to look at Isaris and Virain. Searching their faces as she looked between the two there was a surprised look on her face. "I was little like you..." Teiluj began, "My mother gave her to me when I was your age... She said it would be a good test to see if I could take care of something. That's how I ended up with Starline. She's a good friend though."
Realizing she had stopped Teiluj made a small squeaking sound before spinning about and continuing on. "Sorry!" Teiluj quickly apologized. "The stalls just up there... Can you see anything Virain?"

"Mm-mm." Virain said, eyes darting around. He caught a glimpse of something orange but it turned out to only be some embroidered cloth for sale. "Tweet was a gift from Master for my naming day. I think he actually knew I was there that day." Idly Virain started to play with Isaris's hair, stroking it softly and quite unaware of what he was doing.
"Do you have a Kinfa Master Isaris?"
Virain wouldn't say it but, he was glad that the two adults were so nice, and went out of their way to help him. The few adults he knew weren't very trustworthy and that included his Master and Mistress. He wanted his Mamae to meet them and get to know them, and hopefully he'd meet them again soon. He wanted to play with Master Isaris's little brother if he was as nice as he was.

There was a blink before Isaris smiled at Teiluji, "Mothers tend to teach us things...even after they've left us..." his voice grew soft. He closed his eyes for a moment as the youngling started to play with his hair. That wasn't common knowledge but that was a great way to get him to relax. With a near silent exhale of air he reopened his eyes. He hummed at the question. "A Kinfa...no...I don't have one, but I have notice Issaly has a nack for befriending most things. I would like befriend one of my own one day. So, i guess time will tell..." Isaris hoped to find the younglings parent before Night. If they couldn't he would take the child back to Sauron to ask for the elder's aid. People talked with Sauron, they only greeted Isaris. He was an outsider to this settlement, the one he knew was safe was further in. Closer to that damnable Oba...and Saraf. He repressed the urge to growl instead opting for a heavy sigh. "I'm starting to lose confidence here..." he muttered.

Teiluj had picked up on the subtle change in Isarie's voice and behavior. Making no comment on it Teiluj's shoulders fell forward a little at the sound of his own desire to have a Kinfa. She had brought an egg back with her from her journey, but had traded it off to find a healer willing to help Nkole's injury. She absently wondered where the Kinfa had ended up. Hopefully into the hands of someone who wouldn't attempt to eat it. She walked silently leading them as they spoke among themselves before Isaris muttered bout losing confidence. "We haven't even arrived at the tables. Please bear with this a little longer. A mother never leaves her child willingly." There was a sad look on her face as she picked up pace and ran towards the first of the healers tables. No one was standing there, grunting she moved to the next. A female shifter stood behind the stalls, chewing on something, she looked like she was in pain just having to be there. Teiluj however ignored the outward appearance, used to seeing people make that face when she was around. "Hey, uhm." Teiluj fidgeted as she tried to gather the courage to speak. "W-Would you maybe, maybe have you seen a W-woman who looks like him." Teiluj pointed to Virain hoping the woman had some answers. The woman looked up at the youngling before pointing to the items on the table. "Oh, sorry." Teiluj looked over the various things she had for sale before picking up a strange book with some runes on it. A quill and paper. And a few other powdered ingredients. Handing over the various seeds she used to bargain with the woman then pointed towards some shrubs on the outskirts of the main crowd. "She was asking if I had seen a youngling that looked like him a moment ago." Teiluj's eyes followed the womans finger as her face lit up. "Hey Virain, is that her?"

Just hearing Isaris mention his loss of confidence made the youngling wilt a little, and tears began to bead in his eyes. His Mamae wouldn't leave him behind, not for anything. But, but they hadn't found her yet and the market was larger than the one he'd gone to back home with Papa. He swallowed thickly and lowered his head, staring at the soft locks of Master Isaris's. He was quiet until they reached the healers tables and almost perked up when Mistress Teiluj asked about his Mamae.
Virain didn't understand why the lady hadn't just told them what she'd heard, instead making Mistress Teiluj buy things. He frowned in a puzzled manner, before looking in the direction that was pointed out. A small woman stood against the bushes, her long hair bound in a coiled braided mess at the back of her neck. The burnt orange of her loose robes made her stand out, even as it clashed a bit with her colors. She looked worried and pale, and her white teeth were biting her lip.
"Mamae!" Virain called out, waving frantically enough that he almost dislodged himself from ontop of Isaris's shoulders.
"Virain!" Mamae cried, easily slipping through the throngs of people that stood between them to get to him. "I- Thank you strangers, I thought I lost him for good." Mamae said, orange eyes welling with tears as she reached out to touch his hand. Virain sobbed, "I'm sorry Mamae, I lost you in the crowd. There's too many people here." He dragged an arm across his eyes, smearing the tears that kept welling up.
"Hush now, you're safe now." Mamae murmured, and turned back to look at the two. "Thank you again. I'm Aemae and Virain is my world. If-if there's anything I can do to thank you, please, let me know. We're new to this area and I'm afraid my abilities are small but, I offer all that I can." Up close the scars around her neck and wrists were visible, and easily signified just what she had been, if her appearance hadn't given it away before.

Watching everything with a hawk like gaze the male gave the shifter female a disappointed shake of his head. As the trio were approached by the blue female, Isaris easily pulled Virain into his arms. Holding the child close for a brief moment he passed him back to his Mother. His voice wasn't scolding. "It was our luck to have found him. There's danger in large crowds for younglings." Which reminded him of his own he had to look after. He glanced back to the other three deciding to stay near them for a short time more. He felt though as if he said something wrong, "Virain...it was nice to meet you. If your still around I'll tell Issaly to keep an eye out for you...he'd like a friend." He would wait a short time more before saying his farewells.

Teiluj did her best to smile as the woman approached. Thank goodness they had found her before the day was over. She could only imagine the worry their separation had caused on Aemae. She felt a little better knowing that the ones Virain had met were as kind as them. It would have been terrible if some of the other less likable people had stumbled upon them.
Shaking her head Teiluj responded to the woman's thankful offer. "I have no need for anything. I'm just pleased that you and your son were able to find each other. Especially before the sun set." Holding up her hand she waved it to Virain. "Be careful, it was nice to meet such a cute face. I better get going though, I have things I need to attend to back home." It was making her feel uncomfortable being thanked for something.
Turning Teiluj found herself facing Isaris. Looking a little shocked the hybrid girl smiled up at him. "Thanks for helping me." Giving another wave of her hand Teiluj darted past the group and away. It was better for everyone if she didn't linger around right?

Aemae inclined her head and thanked the two of them again, holding Virain close. "Thank you again! I hope I can play with your brother soon." He called, before turning to look at Teiluj. "I hope we meet again, I like you and you're very nice!" He grinned at her, before tucking his face away into his Mamae's neck.
Aemae whispered something into his ear as she turned to fade into the crowd, slowly winding her way towards the path that would taken them home.

Isaris bowed to the retreating mother and her child. He turned to wave to the quickly vanishing female. Rising up slowly on his heels to watch her. She was interesting...a hybrid of more than two beings for sure he saw. Though he was curious about her he had things to do. His list was simple, earn enough coin to get him and his brother out of Jauhar. Find his path, guide his brother down his own.
To do this he needed an odd job...whelp no time like the present. He smiled as he knew he wouldn't forget his encounters this day for a long time to come.
