Since she had gotten Chandra to laugh she grinned. Well that was certainly something. He seemed excited about telling her what could be learned from a book and when he went to pass her the one he'd taken from his satchel she stepped forward quickly. Not only to take the book but also to catch the pod that she had tossed at him that he seemed to have missed. Syqvara managed to get her hand back on the pod but she was now very close to Chandra and losing balance. dropping the pod she'd put her hand on his leg to keep her from face planting and her other hand would take the book. "O-oh.. uhm. Y-yeah, you can v-visit." Sy cleared her throat again and moved back a step so that she was no longer touching him. "Wh-what did you see yourself as?"

Chandra reached a hand out to steady her, after all it was the least he could do since in his excitement over telling her about the book had completely missed the fact she had tossed the pod in his direction. Though if she had hurt herself he could actually heal her, it was something he realized that was quite a handy talent to have. "Ah..well I've always been interested in magic, though I pictured myself more like a mage..." Chandra explained though feeling her hand on his leg made him very aware of how close she was. Coughing slightly he shifted his position and offered her a spot to sit beside him. It was nice being able to actually chat with someone and not ..be angry at them. Gently he took her hand and pulled her so that he could guide her to a spot beside him. "Why don't you take a look through the pages? Actually you can borrow it if you want. I mean I've already read it several times now...you can bring it back to me when you are done."

Interest in magic. Well at least he didn't say he thought of himself as a fighter. Syqvara usually avoided the types. Fighting made her uneasy. At being offered a spot next to him she was going to shake her head but he took her hand, which colored the rest of her face and even her ears red. Once she was seated and comfortable enough to open the book she would. "H-how many times?" If he had read it a lot then she could quiz him on it. Of course she'd have to read through it at least once to know if he was correct. "Would you mind, i-if I borrowed it?" Her stutter was becoming less and less noticeable the more she spoke with him. Looking up at him she'd smile sincerely. Sy was actually looking forward to reading the book.

If there was anything Chandra enjoyed it was talking about books, one could see his eyes light up in eagerness as Sy actually inquired how many times he had read it. This particular book he read probably around four or five times already, it was hard to find new books when he wasn't exactly the type to go out and find them. Let the books come to him. "This one is mostly about herbs and plants that you can use for mundane healing, but it gives a lot of insight into how to translate it into actual magical healing. My Uncle using the essence of water to mend wounds, but I discovered my own way of doing it. I have to put aside my angry energy and draw forth the nurturing one. " Chandra began to explain rapidly, he had half turned to her like an eager child wanting to show off his new toy. "I'm not very good at it I will admit, I am...more prone to be...uh...hostile.. so I lend myself more to fire and lightning magic." Chandra continued admitting his own violitile nature probably something he got from his mother. She had a very short temper indeed. "Yes yes! Of course you can borrow it, I have LOTS of other books you can borrow too if you want to." It was such a nice thing...to find someone who actually shared his love of books rather than make fun of them like his brother did.

When he went into explaining what this book was about she smiled, listening intently. Delicately she flipped the pages. Learning about herbs would be good for her. Of course she wasn't in line to be a healer. Though she did wonder if maybe she should. There was no fighting involved in it and she wouldn't need to gain leadership skills. Sy chewed on her bottom lip yet again as she mulled the option over. At Chandra's admission of being hostile she'd blink and look toward him with a worried expression. "I like you better when you are nice." There was no sign of her stutter now and the red had died down to a charming pink. It was a sign that she was comfortable enough to not be anxious around him. "Maybe when you need to heal just.." Her attention turned to the expanse of landscape before them, smiling. ".. think of this. It's beautiful and calm here." It would likely become a habit of hers to go walking out here.

Chandra couldn't help but blush after all she basically said she liked him when he was like this. Looking away he tried to obscure the fact he was embarrassed by the compliment he instead tried to focus on the scenery that was being gestured at. Looking it over he supposed that he took it for granted, having grew up in Tale and Jahaur. Going between his mother and fathers place it was a bit whatever to him. Still he nodded his head and gave a glance at Sy beside him. "I suppose I could yeah...when I tried healing it was for my sprite who had gotten in some trouble. I had to pull up memories of my mother and that feeling when she looked after us...how my uncle always was so kinda...that.warm feeling you know?" He explained after a moment with a sigh. Maybe it was a bad idea for him to have become a healer. After all he wasn't exactly the most compassionate person in the world. "If you ever do decide to take up healing...come find me. I may not be the best but my uncle would be the best person to teach you."

Syqvara nodded her head at him. She understood the warm feeling. She got them all the time with her mother and twin. Placing a hand flat on the pages she'd shake her head a bit. "I.. I'm trying to become a shaman, I just..." Sy took a deep breath and turned her head to look away from him and the scenery. "I don't like fighting." These words were mumbled since they gave a bit of insight into who she was and she was embarrassed to admit such a thing. Giving a cough she'd return her attention to the book in her lap. "Before I do anything though... I want to venture out and find a familiar." Again, these words were mumbled and soft spoken. It seemed anything personal about her she did her best to hide. Quickly becoming interested in the book she'd turn the page and begin to skim.

Chandra just didn't understand the want or need for a familar, he probably got that from his mother. Even if he did have Awen who was his sprite and companion he never considered her a creature.. Still he shifted on the spot giving her a thoughtful look, "Why? Fighting...is something you have to do protect the ones you love. My mother fought in the war to make sure her family would live to see another day, my uncle, who is of the same thought is a monk but he still fought to keep everyone he knew and loved alive and safe." Chandra stated rather firmly, he had no qualms about fighting, he was in a fist fight to protect his brothers multitudes of critters only because he knew his brother loved them and would be crushed if any of them were harmed. "But a Shaman is like...a mix between a fighter and healer right?" Was his next question, he had never met a shaman before so he wasn't entirely sure. "Phss..if your looking for an animal my brother has a horde of them...you should just take one of his off his hands." Chandra sighed leaning on back on one hand while looking out over the grass land.

It seemed Chandra liked the idea of fighting. Then again his mother had fought in the war. Sy brought her gaze back to him, only this time her light green eyes seemed to have a harsh look to them. "My father went. He... He never came back." With that little tid bit she'd close the book and shift so that she could get off the bolder. Once her feet were in the sand again, Syqvara started to walk. It was a slow walk and she held the book tightly to her chest. "Fighting is pointless." If everyone would do things peacefully then it wouldn't be needed. Of course it could just be that she had lost her dad that had her upset about the idea. When he told her to take one of his brother's pets she glanced over her shoulder at him, the six light pink crystals that dotted the area standing out against her tan. "Your brother seems mean, s-so I would rather not." Drawing her bottom lip in Sy would pause for a moment before she continued walking. She wasn't going far, since it would be mean of her to up and leave, but it was clear that she was slightly disturbed.

Chandra fell silent as she explained that her own father went to war but never returned, he couldn't help but flinch inwardly. He was lucky, he hated to remind himself of that. After all his own family didn't suffer from any loses. Though he didn't agree with her mentality about fighting. Fighting was apart of life, creatures fought to live and survive and it only made sense that earthlings would as well. "Let me correct myself. I agree that senseless fighting is wrong, but sometimes you will be forced to fight. Wither to save yourself or someone you love. Only in a perfect world would you be able to escape that." He explained after a moment feeling kind of like a heel after all she had just explained her own tragedy. Wondering if he should get up an follow her, or apologize that stubborn part of him refused. There was nothing wrong with his logic or at least in his mind there wasn't. Though he kinda had to chuckle at her description of his brother. Alright so he hadn't given Aysun the best rap. But it was funny to have him described as mean. "Ah...sorry my brother is probably the farthest from mean. I am considered the angry one." Chandra explained after a moment fiddling with his satchel a moment, "He just teases me because I love reading."

Sy stopped and turned to face Chandra. "I can't fight.." Of course she would need to learn in order to become a shaman. If she could stomach it. Hurting people wasn't exactly a strong point for her. Keeping the book he'd given her close she'd look down at her feet and kick at the loose sand. "Being angry and being mean are two different things. You have yet to be mean to me, your initial anger aside." But Syqvara didn't blame him for that. She had disturbed him. It was interesting how she felt at ease enough to not stutter now. Maybe it was because he wasn't trying to pry? "What kinds of familiars does he have? Do you have any?" Ironic that she would pry into his life but expected him to not do the same. Sy looked troubled by that.

Giving a small smile he felt that perhaps he had managed to mend the small rift he had created due to his earlier slip of the tongue. He still wasn't use to compliments though and he had to force a cough to hide his embarrassment. "If you say so, I won't argue.." At least he was smart enough to drop the unpleasant subject of fighting. For now. If she would be forced to fight he would probably suggest she talk to his uncle. He was probably just as timid as she was..and he despised fighting too. But he wasn't going to push the subject not when he got her back on good terms. "Lets see....I only have my sprite Awen. But my brother...hmmm I don't know all their names but he has a bunch. " Chandra had to stop to think about the horde Aysun had been collecting up to this point. "Hmmm...there is his Sprite....that scorra, a kifna...maglardilla...janarim...." He felt like he was forgetting..others but he wasn't sure. It wouldn't of surprised him either if he came home today with five more.

He was sure coughing a lot. Syqvara tilted her head at him. "Are you getting sick? Or need a drink?" She wondered if perhaps being out here was causing his reaction. When he started to name off what all his brother had she seemed to go slightly wide eyes. "Oh wow. I'm jealous. He has a kifna. They have beautiful feathers." Was it odd that she had always wanted to have one of their feathers on a necklace? Possibly. Going back to Chandra's pet she blinked and looked around a bit curiously. "Where is your sprite?" Sy wanted to meet the little thing.

The man wasn't about to admit to the girl that he was just embarrassed by her kindness and compliments so he just shook his head. "Not sick...maybe the air is dryer today." He managed the white lie with a slow nod of his head, though her wide expression as he gave her the detailed list of animals his brother owned made him want to roll his eyes. He was too much like his mother in that respect. "Yeah they do come in quite a variety of shades..." Chandra commented as he moved to be closer to Sy, "Why do you want one?" came his next question, though when his sprite was brought up he has a sad look cross his features. "Awen ..she is healing back at home. She got into some trouble with the local wild life and they beat her up pretty badly. So she is on the mend thanks to my uncle, but it isn't advised she get too much excitment until she recovers one hundred percent." He explained with a slow nod.

She nodded a bit. Maybe he wasn't used to the air if he didn't live near by. Still, she smiled when he agreed with her. "I've always wanted a blue feather from one to wear on a necklace." Sy didn't think there was any harm in letting someone know that bit about her. His moving closer went unnoticed as she pondered on how to answer his question. Why did she want a familiar? Well that touched on a bit more personal things about her. Still, she didn't want to appear as if she were ignoring him. So with a small clearing of her throat she turned her head away to speak into the wind, hoping he'd not hear. "So I will always have a friend and never be alone." Granted she had a twin, that was running around somewhere, but she knew she could always count on them to be there. After all they were taking different paths in life. "Oh!" Syqvara looked at Chandra with concern. "Is that why you were upset earlier?" Did he blame himself for his sprite getting hurt? It would explain things. She moved toward him and reached out to touch his forearm, offering him a gentle look. "I'm sure she'll recover just fine. Have you thought about healing her? Surely you can have those warm feelings for her."
