Ra'Avyn absently nodded his head as he moved to follow Shadow's advice. There was a stream just a few yards away and he slowly made his way to it. Peering down, the stallion was unprepared for the sight that met his gaze. "What's that?!" He yelped at seeing the the mare's eyeball. As if a fire had suddenly taken hold to him, Ra'Avyn spat the offensive flesh from his lips, stumbling sideways as he did so. "Bleck, bleck!" The young stallion coughed and felt like he might vomit at any moment. "That--that's been in my mouth?!"

"Yeah." Shadow ducked his head sheepishly. He had wanted to mention it earlier, but the mares were still around at the time. "But it's gone now...Though, you still have a bit of blood around you mouth."

Feeling sick to his stomach, Ra'Avyn closed his eyes against the pain in his chest. Spirits, why does this keep happening?! His soul shouted to anything that would hear him. Dejected, he stuck his head into the water and let the pure liquid wash away his uncontrollable sin. Maybe if I just kept my head like this... The thought of dying wasn't unfamiliar to him. Ra'Avyn had pondered it many times over- each time more seriously than the next. It appeared that it would be the only way he could stop from harming others.

From his spot on the bank, Shadow watched over his friend with concern. He's worse this time... "Hey, Ray," the draft stallion spoke after a moment. Ra'Avyn had yet to lift his head from the water. "Ray...?!" Shadow started forward only to be stopped in his tracks by the sounds of screaming. Turning in the direction of the distress, he saw Ra'Avyn's head jerk from the water. He had heard it too apparently. "What was that?" "I think it's the mares that just left." The screams persisted, causing both stallions concern. "Come on!" Ray exclaimed as he raced off with Shadow just a few paces behind.
