"What? Oh, no. I had my train of thought derail while unzipping was all. Nothing's wrong." he gave the other a sheepish smile for that. Now was not the time to lose focus!

Chism was behaving, moving away from the other fully to sit back on the couch again when he happened to glance as the other moved, and he caught sight of the tattoo above the others hip and he couldn't help himself..... golden fingers reached out and lightly touched the mark.

"You have a tattoo?" how quietly surprised his voice was. Aatami didn't seem the type. But, seeing it was two Eevees....it was adorable, and fitting since when he'd met the other for the first time he and his sister were Eevee's. Still, he hadn't pulled his hand away from the other, fingers still tracing over skin lightly.

Aatami almost jumped out of his skin. He looked up in the mirror to see Chism behind him, even as he felt his fingers on his skin. I thought he wasn't looking! Clutching his pants to his chest like some maiden, he gulped shakily and let out a nervous laugh.

"It's nothing big, just a little thing." Aatami was trying to play it off, but the tattoo had to be as large as his palm. Every time Chism moved his fingers one way, Aatami twitched in the other. "I-I...the guys wanted me to go with them to the tattoo parlor, but...do you know how bad a tattoo infection is? They're horrible and I was too scared that they would get sick to let them go alone. I just thought if I was there that I could talk them out of it..." He sighed. "Then that happened."

It wasn't as if he regretted it; far from it. Aatami just wished he'd been a little more sober and had picked a less feminine placement.

"Well, good reason to go with them...and honestly it's cute and it fits you. Two Eevee's forming a heart. You and your sister." words soft. he smiled some before he seemed to realize how in the others personal space he was and he backed up hastily, hand dropping away from the tattoo.

"Gotta say, thats a neat surprise, you don't seem like the type to have one at all." he didn't! There was a smile on his face, and he did finally move back to the couch to let Aatami finally get dressed. Though his fingers itched to trace that tattoo again!

He wasn't so sure about the cute part, but it did fit. There was no Aatami without Truffles, and even with the distance separating them she was constantly on his mind. Shifting from foot to foot, the teen remained quiet as the moment seemed to stretch out. When it broke, he cleared his throat and hastily put on his clothes.

Aatami sat on top of the vanity table to avoid putting pressure on his ankle as he got oriented, and unconsciously he hid his back from Chism. The cardigan was last, and the large yellow covering seemed to swallow him whole. "Well..." Should he say what it had taken to get him to that point? Nope. Nope. Nope."Statistically speaking most University attendees will get at least one before graduating. Guess i just fell into the mold." He propped his bandaged foot up on the bench seat and leaned back against the mirror.

"So how has work been since you changed? It hasn't slowed down, has it?"

Chism looked up and over as he was addressed, and gave a smile, a shake of his head given. "Never struck me as the type to fit into the mold, but hey I've been wrong before." there was an amused tone to his voice as he spoke, though he shook his head at the question.

"Nah, actually works gotten busier because now I can do other roles they didn't feel comfortable giving to a kid and all. But I made it a point to come and see the play since I'd been helping you so you could help your friend."

Looking at the others ankle he eased to his feet. "Come on, lets get you out of here so you can get home, and get that foot up. Where am I taking you?" he still didn't drive, but his car and driver were waiting.

He tucked his unharmed leg underneath himself and leaned forward, eagerly listening. Aatami's glasses slid down his nose, the hand me down frame too large for his face. His smile was sweet when he said, "That's really nice of you, Chism, you're a true friend. I'm sure your schedule has to be hectic and well...it was just really nice of you to come." He lowered his eyes, flushing once more. "Even if you did see me in a dress."

Looking up, Aatami shook his head and dug around in his pocket before holding up a card. "I've got a bus pass, so you don't have to worry about that. My place isn't...well, to be honest, at this time of night it's probably...well, it's...rowdy?" He shifted around, his tail swaying the opposite direction of his hips. "I'm just...your a big time actor now, and I don't think...I don't want you to think differently of me once you go there. I mean, I'm already kind of frumpy, but I don't want things to change."

Looking at the others ankle he eased to his feet. "Come on, lets get you out of here so you can get home, and get that foot up. Where am I taking you?" he still didn't drive, but his car and driver were waiting.

"It is, but I always have time to see my friend. Especially when that friend is you Aatami." why yes, he'd rearranged his schedule, just to be there that night. "As for seeing you in a dress, you wore it well. They did a good job. I certainly didn't know it was you."

Though look at him frown at the others words. "A bus? No, no. My car and driver are outside, and this way you can make sure your foot is up and not hanging down. I've dropped you off there before." never been inside, but seen the outside of it.

"I'll drop you out front if you really don't want me coming inside..." his voice trailed off quietly. He'd respect the others wishes. Maybe...

Aatami jumped to his feet in a rush, and thought better of it when the pressure almost caused him to fall down completely. He cried out, scrambling to grab onto the vanity to hold himself up. "N-No, Chism, it's not that!" Aatami gave into a sharp inhale, and held the breath before slowly releasing it. If his ankle wasn't swollen to max capacity already it would be now.

"I'm sorry...I'm not being a very good friend and I shouldn't keep you out like this. Not after everything you've done, I just..." He reached up to brush strands of chocolate hair away from his face. "If you want to drop me off I would appreciate it, and...if you want to come in you can. J-ju-just be careful. It's a rowdy place."

"Aatami!" Chism's voice was sharp with concern and he came close, and merely wrapped his arms around the other to help steady him as he saw him tilting and grabbing onto the vanity. "You need to be off this ankle, simple as that!" he wasn't accepting any arguments on it now!

"I am definitely taking you there, and unless you can miraculously put weight on that ankle by the time we get there, I'm helping you in too. I get you're ashamed of me, so I'll wear my hood and stuff so no one knows who I am." he was grinning playfully, he was teasing the other about being ashamed!

"Let any of them try something, I can handle myself and keep myself safe, and you too if they get too rough and rowdy alright? Now, lets get you out of here so you can put your leg up on the ride."

Aatami
"I know that!" Aatami huffed, leaning up against Chism. He looked almost ashamed for having spoken up like that, but the pain was enough to remind him, he didn't need Chism adding on to it.

"Chism, I'm not ashamed of you, so don't even joke about that." He looked around for his bag and snatched it off the floor near the vanity. Honestly, he seriously hoped that nothing would get started once they reached the house, but Aatami was sure someone would pull something. They always did around a 'new guy'.

"Okay, but...do you think you could let go? I can walk to the car."

Chism
There was a chuckle from him, a shake of his head given. He could see Aatami was flustered so getting him out of here, and quick was for the best. Give him a chance to calm down and relax. Not...continue to stress.

There was a sigh from him, but there he went, arm sliding away from the other, both hands up in surrender. "Alright, you can walk, and you're not ashamed of me. Got it. I'll lead the way." he knew where the car was parked and waiting after all. He merely stepped from the dressing room and started up the hall, hands stuck in his pockets as he went, not taking into account Aatami's ankle unfortunately.

Aatami
Aatami shouldered his messenger bag and hobbled after Chism. At first it was just a little spurt to the door, where he turned out the lights and locked it behind him. There he could lean against the door frame. Catching up to his friend was another matter entirely.

The young Leafeon was used to making sure with what nature gave him. It was with that mentality and a lot of grit that he kept up without making a sound of protest, though his lips were firmly pressed together. He tried to make as little noise as possible in the now empty hallway.

By the time they made it to the backdoor, Aatami was never as happy to see a door frame as he was at that moment. "You can go on and wait for me in the car. I need to lock up."

Chism
Chism was completely unaware the other was lagging behind him as he moved through the hallways. He was merely wanting to get outside though he was glad it was emptied out. Meant no one would recognize him which was honestly nice at this point. Since he'd grown, and started taking bigger parts, he was more known and it annoyed him some.

Once he stepped out he turned at the others voice, a slight frown given. "You sure? Not going to hobble off on me in an attempt to ditch me or something?" still teasing, but he was worried seeing how far back Aatami actually was at this point. He took a half step forward, but then stopped, unsure of how to proceed at that moment.

Aatami
"Chism, I don't think I'm going to be making a get away any time soon." He chuckled. Aatami casually leaned against the wall, and took a deep breath. The student wasn't close to Chism yet, but he was determined to get there.

Finally he started moving again, "Go on, it won't take a few seconds. Just have to punch in a code and flip some switches." In all honesty he was more worried about the steps outside than the hallway. "If I'm not out in five send in a search team."

Chism
"Well...good. And bad. Good because you're not running off, but bad, because your ankle hurts so bad." he wasn't an idiot, could see him limping so knew it was a bother. Still...if he didn't want help....

"Alright..." he looked at his friend a moment, and did head to the parking lot, his driver having been settled against the hood on his phone, only to hang up and get behind the wheel as Chism got in. "My friend'll be needing a ride home...can you meet him at the door? His ankle's hurt and he needs to lock up." "Of course." "Thanks." he sat back as the car backed out and moved around the lot, parking just outside the door.

Aatami
Waving off his worries, Aatami tried his best to smile. It turned into a half-lipped grinn with a noticeable twitch. "It's nothing that won't heal. I'll prop it up when I get home and put some ice on it." That is, if they had any that wasn't in a beer glass or down someone's lingerie.

Aatami waited until Chism was fully outside with the door shut behind him to drop his facade. He bit down a curse, and leaned his forehead against the wall. Slowly he counted back from ten to even out his breathing. Leaned up as he was, he was able to lift the foot itself, thus eliminating most of the pressure.

Thankfully the key pad was within reaching distance. He hesitantly typed in the numbers after reading them off a piece of crumbled paper out of his pocket. It gave him a minutes time to get out of the door, which was nice, considering all he had to do was switch off the lights.

Still, it was a little surprising to see the car so close. Chism's too good to me. Aatami focused on hopping down the steps with one foot, and one hand on the rail before limping himself to the car. He didn't hold up any sort of pretense as he opened the door and dropped into the seat with an audible sigh. After a good solid couple of moments he shut the door behind him, and looked up to Chism. "Should I give the driver directions, or is this the same one as before?"

Chism
He waited patiently for Aatami having already given the driver the directions, who had assured him he recalled where the college was. Seeing Aatami at the door to the theater, he slid across and opened the door so Aatami could get in easily.

"Same driver." "And I was already reminded of the way, though I knew..." "That too yeah..." Chism gave a wry laugh, blushing a little. "Here I'll scoot a little so you can put your foot up and it's not hanging. Or just put your leg in my lap." he smiled as he said that, the hood he'd been wearing pushed down so he could see the other easily. He didn't need to hide in the car, and the doors locked automatically once the car was in motion, so that wasn't an issue either.

Aatami wasn't sure how he felt about putting his foot up like that, but he had to admit it would feel better than hanging down. "Scoot down, I don't want to get your pants dirty." Plus, it would just be an entirely new level of awkward having his leg over Chism's lap.

The little Leafeon stretched his leg onto the seat, curling just so that it wouldn't touch Chism. His shoes were old, worn, and likely contaminated by something. No use dirtying pants by touching them. Once he'd found a comfy spot he leaned his head onto the seat, and snuggled in for the ride.

Which, as it turns out, was a lot quicker in a car than walking. Aatami wouldn't have even known they were there had he not seen the cars lined up the streets. Twisting in his seat, he craned his head to look and see the house. It was on a semi-vacant street, but you wouldn't know it by the vehicles. The closer they got the louder the noise became; music, screams, laughter, the works.

And when the car came to a stop in front of the two story house Aatami hesitated to get out. You couldn't even see the state of the building because of all the college kids. "So you...you sure you want to do this?"

Chism rolled his eyes, but he scooted against the door as much as he could, knowing his clothes could have been washed, but he didn't argue te fact since he wanted Aatami's leg up and not hanging down.

He could hear the racket through the car, and his head slowly swiveled to look at his friend. "How...do you manage to live here?" he was staring at the grounds, the people, the beer cans littering the grounds all in shock.

"Of course I do. You need the help, we both know this...and I'm honestly afraid someone here might try to knock you over." Chism sighed and eased from the car then, and walked around to the other side, and opened it up, a hand held out. "C'mon. Lean on me, and I'll get you where you need to go." his driver had this look on his face like 'I am SO locking the doors, and keeping the cops on speed dial'

"It's free." Aatami shrugged with a little tired smile. He liked living with the guys well enough, but it could be exhausting. "They let me stay with them rent free so long as I clean up after their parties and help them with homework. It's not so bad." Most of them were great guys, just partiers, and the others only got truly obnoxious when they were drunk. When things got rough the others would intervene.

Aatami snorted. "Knock over? I'd be more afraid of getting knocked up around here." It was a terrible joke, but it was out there. With the door open, he reached for Chism's hand and carefully navigated his way out onto the street. A few of the party people had noticed the limo and we creeping towards it like zombies in a bad horror flick; complete with groaning and shambling.

"Come on," Keeping a hold of Chism's hand, he lead the other teen up the yard, navigating as best he could around bodies and trash until he got to the porch. Turning to Chism, Aatami took a deep breath, "stay close," and opened the door. If there was a house around the mass crowd of bodies, music, and booze it would have been hard to find.

"We need to go upstairs!" Aatami raised his voice so Chism could hear him.

"Well...you can't beat free I understand that..." though hearing the conditions of why he got to stay made him frown. "So you get to stay here for playing maid and tutor? Doesn't exactly seem like a fair trade." his voice was quietly doubtful.

His hand curled into Aatami's securely, eyeing the drunken hoarde moving towards them...and he signaled his driver to move off. He'd call when he was ready to be picked back up. It seemed safer for both car and human inside! "At least you can't be knocked up." small mercies really.

Chism's nose wrinkled at the smell spilling out of the frat house, the smell of booze, sweat, sex, vomit...and other things that made him want to step back out, but his concern for his friend kept him going, keeping close behind and ready to carry him if that ankle started to act up again.

How can he live in this place? This isn't a good place for him...it's....everything he's not... his thoughts ran a million miles a second, trying to figure out...something...anything...a way to get Aatami out of here.

"Well, I get to be part of the fraternity as well, so that makes my transcript look good." He called out over the horde. Despite all appearances, this was actually one of the better recognized frats on campus, so in Aatami's mind things had worked out fairly well.

Aatami limped past a couple getting a little too frisky in the hallway as nimbly as once could in his situation. He tugged Chism behind him into the great room, where the vast majority of partiers were congregated. A few tossed up waves to him, which he returned in kind, before moving towards a large wooden staircase.

He wasn't the most agile getting up it, and at times Aatami had to put pressure on his injured ankle to get up. In due time they were on the second floor, where a wave of sexual noises coming from the open rooms had Aatami pausing. His cheeks were flustered, spreading down his chest like blotchy cocoa against his tanned skin. Arceus, don't let Chism get too curious. It was best not to look in those rooms...which Aatami tried to avoid, as he meandered his way to the end of the hall.

Letting go of Chism's hand, Aatami leaned up to grab the pull cord for the attack. He tugged it down, opening a folded set of stairs to view. It was a trick, getting them down without toppling over, but he managed it. "Last climb, and then we can shut the latch." Aatami smiled before climbing up, quite obviously only using his good foot. It was easier this time around, all things considered and when he made it to the top he flopped onto the ground with a tired huff.

The attic was spacious, spanning nearly the entire length of the house, but had little in the way of luxuries. There were two singular light bulbs, one near the stairs and the other near the center of the room illuminating the space. When Aatami was rested enough he moved about, turning on battery operated lanterns here and there. The floor was the only part of the room that had been finished, which allowed Aatami to pile as many books and plotted plants around as he could find. Which were a lot. He sat down on the edge of an inflatable mattress, and patted the space next to him, stretching his legs out before him with a sigh. "Whelp, this is home." Aatami replied sheepishly.
