Otto nodded firmly. Ripley was stone faced, serious, but also reasonable. Otto was always able to follow what he said, and he never asked for anything outlandish. "It don't change nothin'. I promise." He murmured honestly. "Um.. sorry I drank some of your booze." He added after, a little quieter.

"Good." He reached out and pat Otto's knee, nothing more than two quick claps before he leaned away, getting to his feet. "It's fine. No more, though." He moved to his dresser, grabbing a few changes of clothes and a bag from behind the door.
"You need to think, not drink." He had rhymed, but it was important. "Text if you need anything."

"Kay.." He murmured, watching mournfully as Ripley gathered his things. He felt small, yet in the way. "...sorry for takin' ur room.." He felt the need to add. He just felt like a burden, even thought Ripley was the one who offered it.

"You didn't take it." Ripley said, after a brief pause to glance at the younger man. "I offered it to you willingly." He corrected as he zipped his bag up. "So don't squander your time here. Sort your s**t out." At least he offered a small smile this time, as he crossed the room and leaned over the bed with the sole purpose of messing up his hair. "You've come so far from that emo blonde a*****e I met in my teens. Don't revert back into him."

Sort your s**t out. Otto nodded, sinking his posture into a slouch. How was he ever going to accomplish such a thing? He thought being alone wold help him, but he was no closer. He straightened more alert as he saw the man approach him again. He'd not expected to get his hair tousled, his hands coming up to swat the white haired man away. He fought, but he didn't actually mind all that much. "Was I really that bad?" He grumbled, trying in vain to fix his hair. It was knotted from sleep, and nothing but a good combing would tame it down again.

"No." He offered a small smile as his hand was swatted away. "I could tolerate you." And apparently drag him out to the movies, or the mall, or really anywhere to get him away from home, all under the guise of being a tourist. "But you were still a massive little s**t."

Otto managed a smirk. Ripley's presence back then had really been a gift. A total reprieve from the Hell of his daily life. It had given him the chance to feel normal, and not just a burdensome insect that plagued his father's home. "Thanks for tolerating me." He murmured, awkwardly wondering if he ought to thank him for the company all those years ago.

"No problem." Another small smile, and he turned on his heel towards the door. "Have a good one." He wished, as he made his way back into the hallway.

Otto watched him leave. Although he'd said he wanted to get up to brush his teeth, Otto looked down at his pillow with longing. Like a gravitational pull, his face connected to the plush mound in a quick motion.
Out like a light.
