"And therefore plenty of time to seek out those family members that I don't know. I guess I'm just thinking of the future, if I make a family, I would want my children to know their roots if they wish to." he stepped alongside the mare as they slowly descended, keeping half an eye on the way so that he did not turn a hoof on an unexpected stone.
"What other things are occupying your mind beyond the journey?" he asked, adding;
"If you don't mind my asking of course."
By now the ground had begun to level out some and he was able to pay more attention to the mare again now that the footing was more secure.
