Cabaret knew she probably thought him foolish and perhaps he was. But he loved that place so much, perhaps more so because he could not go back. Maybe there was something in the wanting of it that made it appeal more.
"I would not have offered if I was not sincere. Of course, you may look." He held out his wings so that the sunlight that dappled the forest floor could perhaps touch on his armor. He knew that the armor would gleam in that shiny purple way it often did. He'd never understood how' they'd been able to do that back home. And now he would never know.
"These were crafted specifically for me, down to the exact measurement. It's the best way to get your armor if you can."

"I know, I just... I'm not used to people picking up on my staring and actually indulging me, let alone not being offended," she said sheepishly, slinking a little closer at his invitation. "Who crafted it?" she asked. She expected only truly advanced humans would be capable, what with their convenient hands and digits and things... Although perhaps some raccoon population somewhere could manage it, too. "What are these bright yellow accents?" She tilted her head at the one on his chest, watching her reflection do the same. She felt like a bird studying herself in a mirror, puffing up a little.
When he unfolded his wings, hues of amethyst and cranberry met her eyes, and suddenly, she was focused more on his wings and feathers than on the armor that protected them.

Cabaret laughed a deep throaty laugh at her words. "Well, there were humans, so raccoons, and some very dexterous unicorns who did the work. Fine craftsmanship. There aren't anymore to be made though." He watched her take in the yellow stones. "Those are Yellow Sphalerite, a precious stone from a place far to the south of my home. We were allowed to pick a stone that we liked best to be worked int he armor. It took me a full month to make the journey for the stone. I was proud as could be." He glanced up to find her eyes alighting on his wings instead of his armor. He stood still as possible, she probably was intrigued by his wings--they were a bit heavier and more sturdy than normal ones.
