The sparkly eyes continued a moment longer. Anyone who could enable his habit was clearly someone worthy of admiration.

"Really? Our school didn't have a swim team... b-but I never did any sports anyway. I-I was a bit of a weakling." Oliver still believed himself to be a weakling, it was harder for the timid boy to change his opinion of himself than it had been to change his body over the past year on the island. "I'm not a really strong swimmer, but there is a canoe... um... in the Life division store room?"

"I-I like to draw dinosaur bones..." Oliver offered very meekly, as though speaking quieter offered less chance of ridicule. So far he had been given no reason to suspect such treatment, but it had become a natural defense mechanism for the boy when faced with more confident personalities.

He stuffed his hands into his coat pockets, his mind wandering back to thoughts about diving. After a moment of silence he spoke up again. "I-I could show you, um, where t-to dive for rune stones... Ah... that is... uh... i-if y-you were interested. It's a bit dangerous b-but... um..."
