Painite vanished and Camelot waited for her inevitable attack. She did not reappear, though, and for a moment he was not sure where her aura had gone. It seemed she had teleported away for good at his arrival, which was not completely surprising. The two had a long and violent history, and it seemed to only be getting worse.
Of course, both Athene and Camelot were being optimistic. Painite had no intention of giving up the fight just because she was out numbered and out ranked.
She appeared in a burst of energy, having powered down after teleporting to another roof and powering up when she was ready to launch another attack. She teleported again immediately, despite the drain on her energy, and gripped her spear tightly as she stabbed at her target's back.
Camelot felt her power and turned to see her, but he was too slow to stop her attack. She was standing behind Athene, not Camelot, and her last attack, her parting shot, was aimed at the senshi, not the knight.
"Athene!" he yelled, charging forward, grabbing Painite by the neck and at least stopping the deranged laugh that was about to escape.

Athene had his own history with Painite, a history that the other members of the PSSG shared in that, for the most part, they had all been her target at one point or another. But he had had his guard down with the disappearence of her aura, his mind on the throb of his side and his attention on Camelot, on the concern in the older man's voice and the pain intermixed with anger on his face. It all seemed to happen all at once. The sudden dark blaze of a Negaverse General's aura blending with Camelot's warning shout... And then all he could feel was pain - pain which cut through in a white flash of agony and made the cut from earlier feel almost like a mere scrape. He may have screamed, maybe not - but if he had Athene hadn't noticed because all he could concentrate on was the pain.

"No!"
Camelot was too slow to do anything but catch Athene after the attack from Painite had been executed. She was gone with a wicked laugh curling in the air behind her, teleporting out of his grip on her neck and vanishing completely this time. With no intention of returning, since she knew she had pushed the situation as far as it could go.
Camelot would most certainly destroy her if she stuck around any longer.
The Royal Knight supported Athene, looking mortified and more than a little concerned. Guilt, too, weighed heavily on him. This was an attack on him as much as it was on Athene, just because the senshi was his friend. He imagined many of his friends would be targeted in the same way.
"Hold on. I'll get you to the hospital," he said, since he had no healing powers of his own to help with, and it was the only place he knew that could help. For as many times as he had been stabbed, Camelot was still not qualified to treat those kinds of injuries.

Athene hadn't heard the last bit of interaction between Camelot and Painite. Hadn't heard the latter laugh or noticed as her aura disappeared as she once again teleported out, this time not to return. He could hear a voice speaking, something about hospital. Hospital - there was something about the hospital - something... It was hard to think, hard to put thoughts together when all his mind could think on was on the pain heavy and throbbing but Athene tried anyway, reaching up to try and tug at the Royal Knight, hand catching fabric before weakly slipping down. "Cam'lot" the weakness was reflected in a voice quieter than normal. "Cam'lot" the first time he had still been Athene, but it was Arian who repeated the Royal Knight's name, voice weak and so very quiet. He had meant to say that Camelot should call Ida, meant to say that the number was in his phone.. But all that he could manage to get out was "..Ida. Call Ida..."

"Arian, hold on," he said, but he didn't know how to call Ida. Since Athene had powered down, and Camelot was not really thinking about the off chance that he had Ida stored in his phone under a name he might recognize, he focused on his only sensible option.
Get him to the hospital. And fast.
Thankfully, he had the motivation to go fast, regardless of his own condition.
Pulling off his cape, he wrapped it around Arian tightly to support him and ofer him a bit of warmth and comfort. Camelot then ripped off a long strip of fabric from under his armor and used that to stem the bleeding as much as he could, wincing as he knew the actions were probably painful, but not having much of a choice.
That all done, he picked Arian up and carried him without much effort, barely noticing the added weight as he took off as fast as his legs would carry him. Any trace of injury was forgotten, it seemed, though he was simply biting back his own pain and the weakness in his legs. He had healed enough to be able to do what he needed to do, and he would not be stopped.
He reached the hospital quickly, though out of breath as he carried him to the emergency area. He yelled for help and put Arian down where he would be found easily, and soon enough emergency workers were running to him, while Camelot vanished up the side of the building so he could power down and wait at the hospital.

If there was one thing that could be said about the hospital trip, it was that it was fast - after all a Royal Knight's speed wasn't something to be sneered at. The trip wasn't really one that Arian really remembered - not in it's entirety - more in snippets than anything else. There had been Camelot and movement and pain and later there had been the hospital, doctors. Later it would occur to Arian that eventually at some point his cousin was probably going to find out that he had managed to land himself back in hospital in the space of about a month. Later - it and the questions would come later. And by then hopefully he would up to managing to come up with some sort of a story.
