"Oh, but I'm just a first-year." Pierrette said shyly, fidgeting with a small smile. "I don't know - many places." She swallowed, looking down.

"Well, let me show you around, then. I can show you what all we've got, and you can pick." She seemed like a sweetie! Even if she was one of those adamant about buying all the cookbooks. And...oh! Oops...
"I think we forgot to introduce ourselves. Kaida Courcel. Third year DCU student, studying for my Bachelor's of Music." She held her hand out.

Pierrette beamed again. "I'd like that!" At Kaida pausing, she tilted her head, then blinked, giggling and shaking her hand. "Pierrette Genoise. First year, going into Culinary Arts at DCU." She all but sang. "I'm excited to meet you!"

"A pleasure, Pierrette!" That kind of name...hm. "Ah...I hope I'm not too assuming in asking, but...Parlez-vous français?" Considering her own background, it would be nice to have someone that wasn't family to speak French with! Matt's French was...functional, and Yuki stared at French with the look of someone who had been highly offended.

"Oui!" Pierrette beamed eagerly, eyes lighting up. "My family is from France!"

AH! The look of glee on Kaida's face was unmistakable. "Grand-père Courcel's grandfather came from France, as did his mother!" She'd never met her great-grandmother on that side but...Grand-père Courcel spoke the WORLD of her. "I've even been to visit relatives over there a few times!" Not nearly as often as she'd visited her Japanese relatives, but...well, she hoped to fix that once she was finished with college.

"I was born in France!" Pierrette offered eagerly, beaming wide. "I came back to study for college!"

"That's amazing! I plan to visit the country more once I'm done with college. Growing up, I've mostly visited the family I have in Japan when I'm out of the country, so...it'd be nice to see France more." Maybe one day she'd get to take a significant other to Paris...ah. That would be so romantic...

"I would recommend looking into different locations, not only Paris!" Pierrette beamed, smiling. While she liked Paris, she knew there was more, and she beamed, bouncing as she walked. "Ah, the history, the sights, and smells! And not in Paris, many areas smell bad!"

"I was thinking Lyon to start with, since that's where Grand-père's side of the family hails from!" She giggled. "Maybe find a few other areas with some historical importance to my family. And from there? Well, we'll see where life leads me." Maybe she'd spend the summer after graduating in France...it would be nice! "Ah! Let's go get food, before we talk ourselves into being too hungry to get to it."

"Ah! Yes, yes that sounds lovely!" Pierrette beamed, nodding. "Let's go!" And the girl skipped for the student center, smiling.
