Ril gave a little jump when Yaholo rested a hand on his shoulder, looking up at him with wide green eyes, then glanced away, "Huh? Oh! Yeah, I'm fine... my mind was just wandering was all." He said, lifting a hand up to scratch it against the back of his head in an embarrassed manner. Of course Yaholo would notice then come trotting over the moment that he got himself all out of sorts with his wandering thoughts. He just had to get his mind back in order he decided, working on doing just that. He just had to think of anything else but the fact that he was actually alone with the one that he so cared about. He seemed to debate over something for a moment, nudging a toe against the ground, before looking back at Yaholo, "Huh? Sit down... I guess so." Did he want to put his feet in the water? No, he didn't think he did, mostly because it might be a touch too cold for that. He'd let Yaholo investigate the water first, then he would he decided as he removed his swords from his sides, then set them down on the ground as he settled down. The swords were on one side of him and he motioned to the other side, "Ahhh... do you want to sit with me? Or were you going to hunt around for something eat?" He asked, not exactly looking directly at Yaholo as he asked the question. Instead he seemed to find his hands to be suddenly very fascinating, starring at them instead.

Yaholo watched Rilind curiously and with an air of concern, before a soft smile curved onto his features. Oh, Ril, was a little embarrassed. He could tell by the way he had rubbed the back of his head, it was something he and his own children did, too, when they were embarrassed or nervous. He wasn't entirely sure why Ril would be flustered in a place like this, but figured he'd leave that question unanswered. Rilind wasn't something to be figured out, he was beautiful in all his complexity. Besides, he didn't want Rilind to get embarrassed any further, now did he?
He gave Rilind's shoulder a pat as he settled down and turned his attention to the water. He could see a few decent sized fish swimming about just underneath the surface. Maybe he could catch a few to bring home? He inched his way towards the pond, bent over, and struck into the water, only to recoil when he found the water was too cold for his liking.
"Ack! Cold, cold, cold, coooold!" He yelped, waving his now freezing hand in order to warm it. His lips pursed a little in frustration before his attention was drawn back to Rilind.
"I would love nothing more than to sit with you." He said, settling himself down beside the redhead and wrapping his arm around his shoulder. "Maybe something easier to catch will pass by in a bit if we're quiet... I've seen so pretty interesting things during my rests here. This place is really a slice of paradise..."

Ril watched as Yaholo went creeping toward the water, looking a bit like a predatory animal that was seeking out.. what? Fish from the looks of it, something that caused him to give a bit of a smile. So he was going to try to catch fish with his bare hands then? A trick that he would like to see... though before Yaholo could actually the fish it seemed as though the big guy was defeated by the cold water. It was a sight that had Ril's eyes going a bit wide before he said, "Well, that answers that, I don't think I will be putting my feet in the water." In fact he shifted so that he was sitting cross legged as though to protect his feet from the influence of the cold water. After failing to get fish it seemed that Yaholo was content to come sit next to him, something that had him smiling a little, "You tried at least?" He didn't get the fish but at least he'd made the effort? As Yaholo's arm wrapped around him he went for a moment tense before settling against his side, his eyes sinking to a have closed state, and he just sat there for a moment in comfortable silence listening to Yaholo's next plan. They'd wait quietly and maybe something easy to catch and tasty would happen by. Rilind gave a nod of his head before he slowly lifted his gaze up to Yaholo, away, then back again, "I... like your family." He started with before he continued on with, "But this is nice, you know... um... just the two of us." He said, his voice a bit quiet, as though getting out such words was half way between impossible and embarrassing. He wasn't really one for such affectionate, fluffy talk, but he wanted Yaholo to at least know that he did enjoy his time with him. Especially right here, right now, it was just... nice. Something that he felt Yaholo should know about.

Yaholo laughed, a bit of blush sneaking across his cheeks. Yeah, neither of them would be taking a dip any time soon it seemed. The water was still far too cold to fish in, let alone dangle your feet in. The idea of a breakfast of fresh fish would have to wait for another, warmer, morning, when you could slosh around in the water all you liked without turning blue from the chill. He settled into his space and let out a sigh, before gazing to Ril.
"I'm glad." He replied, his smile widening. He'd hoped Ril would be fond of his family, or at least grow to understand them. They could be quite a crazy bunch when they wanted to, so, Yaholo really didn't set his hopes up as high as he usually did. He knew Rilind needed time and patience, and was thankful that his parents seemed to understand that and follow suit without being too forward. That spoke values to Yaholo, really, and made him feel all the more thankful for the private moment he was having right now with Rilind. It had been a long journey to get to this, and he would do it all again in a heartbeat.
"Yes, it's... Beautiful." He said, his hand moving to touch the top of Rilind's hair, where he could see his blue roots were coming through. "... I'm so blessed to have you here, you know. You're just... You mean so much to me. I'm so glad you're here."

"I... ahh..." He couldn't really find any words that wanted to pass his lips as Yaholo spoke, talking about how blessed he was to have Ril, that he meant a 'so much' to him, and that he was glad to have him here. It was something that made his turn so that he could once more hide his, this one a lot worse then before, his cheeks burning a much brighter red, his cheeks now almost as bright as his hair, "Umm... thank you." There was a part of him that was still confused by that, the idea that Yaholo was so happy to have him around to the point that he would call it a blessing... but still, it was something that made Rilind happy. There were few others who enjoyed having him around to such an extent after all. He fell quiet for a time, thinking on the times that he'd spent with Yaholo, since he'd first met him until this moment, then he finally said, "I... you know, I think I could say the same. That you were a blessing, one that saved my life." Lifting a hand to rub it against his scarred shoulder. It was Yaholo, the thought of him, the memory of him, and the desire to see him again was what helped him to live through what was the worst battle of his life up to and including the war against the Obans. The Obans didn't scare him nearly as much as Dretch did, not in the least bit in fact, maybe because he'd missed most of the war he supposed? Turning to look up at Yaholo again he seemed to be considering something for a moment before he decided to turn the subject from more serious to talk to something else that was on his mind. Ril chewed on his lower lip a moment before he finally said, "Yaholo... can I... um... have another kiss? I mean... since we're alone we should take advantage, right?" The words came out very quiet, as though asking for such a thing was a bit difficult for him.

Yaholo's face settled into an appreciative, humbled smile, and his eyes began to glisten as though he were trying not to cry. Rilind's words really touched him and made him feel as though all the years he'd gone through had been worth it. Rilind loved him, he'd earned his trust, love, and, most importantly, his acceptance. He lifted a hand to wipe at his eye and pulled Rilind into a hug.
"You saying these things makes me feel so happy, thank you, Ril." He said, nuzzling the crook of Rilind's neck. "I would do everything I've done for you over and over again. You complete me, Rilind. You really, truly, complete me."
The request for another kiss was like the icing on the cake for Yaholo. It was a bit of a silly question to ask, in his opinion. Of course Rilind could have another kiss! He could have all the kisses he wanted and then some if he just asked. The brute's smile widened and slowly softened, before he leaned forward and planted a passionate kiss upon Rilind's lips.

Ril let out a sound of surprise as he was dragged into another hug, making a bit of a face, "Augh! You're so cuddly!" He said, flailing for a moment, making a weak attempt to escape... but then he gave up. It was obvious that it was mostly for show and that he didn't really want to go anywhere. Instead he found himself leaning once more into Yaholo after his small escape attempt. He found himself flushing a little as Yaholo continued to coo over him, being far too sweet for his own good. It really did make him want to selfishly keep Yaholo all to himself despite knowing such a thing wasn't possible, not with him having kids of his own, and a family that he was close to. Still, he would enjoy this time that they had together. As he was given the kiss that he had asked for he turned, pushing up to on his knees so that he would feel a bit taller compared to Yaholo. It only worked when he was sitting down, so Rilind would be sure to take advantage of that, one just had to study their 'opponent' to figure out ways to overcome differences in size was all. After a moment of starring at him the red head moved, pouncing on Yaholo, hoping that he might be able to tip him over if he caught him off guard.

Rilind's careful planning worked well to his advantage, catching Yaholo well off guard and allowing him to tip the Brute to the ground. At first, Yaholo was stunned at how easily he was shoved over, until he realized that Rilind was now on top of him. His cheeks lit up with a furious blush that extended over his cheeks and sent a pulse of heat through his body. He never imagined that Rilind would ever pounce on him like this! What had Yaholo done to make him so playful? He'd do whatever it was more often if he knew what he'd done! He smirked and raised a hand up to bury it in the Swordsman's ruby hair.
"You got me." He said, his voice deep and low. He kissed Rilind again, as passionate as before, and moved to wrap his arms around him. Everything about this moment was so beautiful, from the kissing to the sheer silence of the area around them. Who needed hunting? This was ten times better than food.

Ril looked more then a little surprised over the fact that he had actually been able to knock Yaholo over, almost certain that he was just going to bump into him at best. He blinked a couple times down at him before he shifted himself so that he could better look down at him. A delighted look appeared on his face as he starred down at him, giving a slow nod as Yaholo said that Ril had gotten him. He had, hadn't he? What a wonderful sight to behold too he thought a moment before he was pulled into another kiss.
After a long moment of just sharing kisses with Yaholo Ril drew back a little, lifting up so that he could stare down at him, then murmured, "Thank you." Though it wasn't just for the kisses that he'd asked for, but a lot more he couldn't really voice since the list of things he should thank him for was a bit extensive. Sitting up a bit more he gave a bit of a grin, "You're lucky I am such a nice guy or I would just steal you away so I could keep you all to myself like this more often." He told him in a teasing manner, lifting a hand to toy with one of Yaholo's dreadlocks.

Yaholo laughed heartily and stared adoringly into Rilind's eyes. He was a sight to see from this angle, especially against all the colors of the forest. He wondered, idly, if he would have looked any more beautiful against the backdrop of the desert sun, but shook the thoughts away when Rilind thanked him, something he couldn't help but chuckle at.
"No, thank you. The view from down here is breathtaking." He laughed, echoing Rilind's grin. "Oh? Is that so?" He paused, his eyebrow arching in a playful manner. "Well, we'll just have to make this our date spot from now on, won't we? Our little hideaway for when we just want to snuggle up, roll around, and be alone together..."
He wiggled his back up a little so he could give Rilind another kiss, before letting out a contented sigh.
"This is what dreams are made of, huh?" He said, relaxing onto the ground again. "I wish I could just lay here with you forever..."

Shifting himself once more Rilind sat next to Yaholo so that he could lean against him, head resting on his chest, listening to the sound of his heart beat once more as well as his voice. Giving a slow nod he said, "I like the sound of that, a hideaway for just the two of us." He said, tracing his fingers against Yaholo's chest lightly. He liked Yaholo's family, really he did, but from time to time the idea of having a break from them so that the two of them could disapear and hang out together like this was nice too. "Don't worry though, I won't keep you away for too terribly long, I would hate for them to come looking for you." That might cause them to discover this hidden 'date spot' as Yaholo had called it. Best that they kept the place a secret instead of leading everyone straight here because they stayed missing for far too long. Ril's green eyes slid half open at Yaholo's question about this being what dreams were made of and he found himself nodding, "Hmm, you could be right on that one." A calm, quiet, and safe place where he could stay with the person he cared for most, it did seem like a dream... to the point where he had to pinch himself, just to make sure.

Yaholo sighed again as Rilind leaned his head on his chest and felt as though everything was right in the world. Another king from another land could launch another attack at this very moment and he would scarcely bat an eyelash. His whole world was Rilind right now. Nothing more, nothing less. Just simple bliss.
"They don't usually bother looking until dinner time." He admitted, chuckling. "That's when we're all supposed to be home, eating, and chatting about what happened during our day. It's important to my mom that we have that sort of bonding time, where we just stop, enjoy ourselves, and share our experiences. I have to say, it's pretty fun to hear the stories."
He paused, his eyes turning to gaze over the pond, a sudden thought crossing his mind. He looked back down to Ril not too long after, his expression mildly pensive.
"... Hey, uh, remember when I talked about Aisha?" He said, glancing around to find the correct words to say. "I was wondering... Would you like to go and meet her?"

Gathering for the day at dinner time to tell stories and chat about one's day, not how he was raised but he kind of like the idea of it. He gave a slow nod of his head before he said, "If you feel I wouldn't be imposing I'd like to share one of those dinners with your family sometime, just to get a peek and see what its like." He didn't want to just invite himself to just an important meal but at the same time there was that part of him that was intensely curious about what a 'normal' family dinner might be like. Yaholo's sons could be a bit loud when they got together but even then he'd like to get a look if at all possible. "Hm?" Lifting his head slightly looked up at him, "Aisha? Yeah, your magic baby making tree." He murmured, resting his head on Yaholo's chest once more... at least until he mentioned Rilind meeting her. It was something that caused him to jerk up right, his eyes going a bit wide, "Wait... meet her? Why?" He asked, no sure what he thought about that, instantly thinking of all the things that a magical tree goddess would see wrong with him. What if she didn't like him? Rejected him? Demanded her child break it off with him? All manner of things went racing through his mind, cramming his head instead filled with fretting. Shaking his head he said, "I... I don't know, it might not be a good idea." He didn't know if he wanted to face her, as well as the rest of Yaholo's tribe, and risk losing him through the meeting.

"You would never be imposing!" Yaholo laughed, shaking his head. "My mother would be thrilled to have another person at the table, it'd be like a special occasion."
Then, Rilind's panicked reaction caused Yaholo's body to stiffen. Oh, dear, okay, it wasn't like he hadn't half-expected this, right? He couldn't help but blush again at his own stupidity, he'd gone and opened his mouth and startled his poor Ril! He was such a big stupid! Why couldn't he learn to think things through carefully like the rest of the world? He took a breath in, let it out, and smoothed his hand over Rilind's hair.
"Just so you can see where I came from and, well, meet her." He said, in the best soothing tone he could muster. "It's not like we'd go there to plea. It could be a friendly meet and greet, nothing more. ... You wouldn't need to do anything you're not comfortable doing."
He paused to give Rilind a kiss on the forehead.
"I promise that I will never, ever, make you do anything you're not comfortable doing." He assured, nuzzling his forehead against Ril's. "We'll take this at your pace. I just wanted to know if you wanted to or not. There's no rush, no rush at all."

"Huh? I don't know, what if they don't like me? What if they think I am not worthy of someone like you?" He said in a hushed tone, not exactly sure who 'they' were but in his mind he wasn't exactly someone who came out on top a lot when it came to popularity contests. Hard to think that strangers would think well of him when his own parents hated him for existing. It was thought he shoved aside, starring at Yaholo in a confused manner, "What? Plea? For what?" Was he supposed to make a plea to Aisha to be able to stay with one of her children? His mind set to whirling around again, like a witu chasing its own tail. "I... maybe." A friendly meet and greet... he could do that, right? Maybe... damn it why couldn't he have a higher level of confidense he thought to himself in a grumpy manner before he was getting a kiss on the forehead that helped to calm him a bit, "It's not that I don't want to, exactly, it's that I don't want them to look down on you because of... me." He was far from perfect mate material after all, at least in his own mind. Rilind dragged in some deep breaths, struggling for a moment to get himself into a better state of control once more, "Sorry... I know you mean well, your family probably does too... I am just... so bad at a lot of things. I really... need your help..." The last part was said at a whisper, as though admitting such a thing was a little hard for him to do. Admitting to weakness, asking for help, those were things that would have gotten him ridiculed back home, things he'd learned not to do, instead relying on completley on himself. Yaholo proved time and again that wasn't true though, that he could go to him for help, that it was alright to lean on him. Leaning forward, so his forehead was against Yaholo's chest he murmured, "Sorry... I don't mean to mess up our time together or your nice offers... I just... have these annoying panic attacks. It's as though things will go badly if I reach out for more then I should."
