"Don't make promises you can't keep..." She spoke. now, with a lightness, unlike she had become so strangled with her life. Now she could feel the wind blow. He was beside her... These moments could go away in a flash, and she chose now to enjoy. "No matter how much I want you by my side. I know that ..... I can't be." A smile crossed her face, it was a star struck smile, one where she laughed softly. Like something tickling her stomach.
"Your paws have always wandered so far from me. I just couldn't keep up." The tears that had dripped from her eyes, he rubbed away. "What you can do.....is find Nanami." Looking up at the sky.. " Try with her. She should at least know that you want to know her. That you are not a horrible monster- nor are you the sun and moon. I can never expect her to understand what I see when I look at you. But I do want her to get a chance..." To know him, rather than imagen how horrible of a ulaya they were to be united this way.
"I will accept that you find happiness elsewhere. I don't want you to spoil me any longer like we had as children. Woven to bring me peace once more. I want to try and find it myself now that my chains are finally gone. I will rekindle my love for my children...and I will try and go back and see father.. It's been some time since I have visited him..." Looking at him, rolling on her side. "Go to Nana..." A soft smile. It was her trying to be stronger now than she had been. To this point, she was spoiled, now she would try to do whatever she could to fix the wrongs instead of crying about it.
Let the healing begin..

Kimi bit his tongue at Rennoa's words. Nodding in acceptance. What promises had he made her and not kept? To never show anyone what lay beneath the worn out eyepatch on his face. He'd kept that one. Only a child, but all these years, that was easy. 'Nothing worth seeing.' 'It'll turn your stomach.' Such responses had been enough when he'd been asked at all, though it was rare that anyone was curious.
Perhaps leaving was enough to instill a distrust that made her say those words, or what he'd done. He still could barely believe it...
To say it was impossible was cruel, and a lie. How childish, how stupid he had been.
Even as Ren laughed and smiled at him his guts felt cold. "I'll do my best to try with, Nanami...." He'd have to go home, his father's home and to find her but what could he say. He looked at Ren as she gazed up at the sky and looked away.
How could he find happiness? He'd come back to this. He'd come back for himself, for Ren. Now with this weight he wasn't sure what to do much less think. "I want you to be at peace, Ren and so to whatever end I'll go to her... and I won't leave again. Not without saying anything first."
How strange that his want to be close to her had faded in an instant. He'd been so sure that he could make her happy when in truth he had done anything but. If distance was not the answer and being near to her impossible, what could he do?
His thoughts shift back to Nanami, he knew nothing about her but that she knew. Would she even see him? All he knew was he had to try, he promised.
