She didn't remember a whole lot about ancient mythology, but Cupid was the original matchmaker as she recalled. Rolling her eyes up to meet Tobias' gaze, Sammy pouted her lips with an orly? expression."I think I can manage. Sure you can keep up?"she jabbed back playfully.

Tobias thought on that a moment before responding. "I suppose they could be, but to be honest I do not recall. That was mythology I more glossed over. I should go back and read up on it." A smirk played about his lips as she teased back. "Keep up? Sammy my dear, I intend to lead."

His smirk softened to a smile as he led her out onto the dance floor. "In the dance, I mean. I may prefer to take charge, but I do in fact know how to follow." Taking her right hand in his left, he drew her in a little closer. "Did you want to walts, or was there another dance you were wanting to do?"

Oop!"He pulled her closer and she stumbled a little in her heels, catching herself but bumping into him lightly in the process."Gomen-nasai..."she muttered quietly, smiling though somewhat embarrassed. She straightened herself and realized she caught herself on his chest, and quickly let go."We can try something new...if you think I'm good for it."she replied, laughing quietly at her own expense.

Tobias chuckled about to expand on what he meant when she stumbled and caught herself on his chest. "Are you alright?" Before he could move a hand down to tip her chin up and look into her eyes, she had let go. Quiet a moment, at last he spoke. "I am sure you will do fine, but perhaps nothing just yet with too sudden a start. Maybe something slow?" At this he drew her back, but did so much slower so as to prevent any stumbles.
((That still sounds like work to me. I hope your day goes smoothly. And Charming, I'll be thanking you more thoroughly later. That is a promise. ))

There was a slight smile on his face as she fixed him back to right. Giving a nod to this, he looked down at his tie. "Thank you." Looking back at her again, he thought for a moment. "Alright, a slow dance. Is there a certain song you might like to request?"

She followed his gaze as he searched for the entertainment system."I think I saw the speakers over there...I don't see a stereo or anything...it might be hooked up to an ipod."She squinted a little to make sure."Got something special in mind?"

The familiar, yet mysterious(ly dorky) Prince Zephyr steals you away from your dance partner.
"Its good to see you're in better spirits, miss."
He smiles just for you as you glide around the floor. Other couples beginning to take notice, stopping their own dancing to watch. He's really light on his feet, almost strangely so. At least his dancing is much better than his rose throwing. The rest of the party seems to fade into the background and you dance together in a bubble all your own. Dimly aware there must be people watching, it's hard not to imagine you're alone in your own personal universe. It's easy to wish that the moment would last forever, but the song comes to an end, the last notes fading out as a new song begins. Prince Zephyr releases you, but takes your hand and kisses it.
"Thank you for indulging me, lovely one."
A beautiful blue rose appears in his hands as if by magic, and he gently tucks it behind your ear.
"Keep my jacket safe for me a little longer, I promise I'll be back for it."
And like the wind...he is gone...

A grin tugged at his lips and he raised a brow. "Are you sure you did not have a certain type of dance already in mind?" There was a slight nod to that. Yes, there was probably an ipod somewhere. Brow still raised, he gazed down at her after looking a little longer for the elusive device. "I did, something easy to move to. Complicated foot work will come with lessons, for now it is for fun and to see how you move without instruction."
((Not very becoming if they intend to teach by example. A lovely note, though mine went in rather a different direction. One I'd like to keep between them and me. Which reminds me, I need to finish my response. ))

"A good question. Would you?" His voice was teasing and his eyes showed amusement. Nodding, he followed with her. Looking at the ipod a moment, he gave a slight shrug. "I doubt she would mind, so long as we do not cause any difficulties to arise. One never knows, she might have the song in there. Would you like me to look?"
((More a do as I say, not as I do, I take it. It was sweet, yet a little sad. It makes me want to write something that will make them smile. ))
