With the sableye's movements frozen and Sakki's Safeguard flickering Zak took this moment to have Sakki Restore safeguard. That Sableye's magic coat would be tricky with out it, if they were to continue. Safeguard!" Zak called out
Sakki landed and once more focused her energy to create a barrier around her.

Fortunately it seemed the ice was thin enough that it soon began to crack. In moments Spinel burst free from the crystalline shell, scattering bits of ice everywhere. And he wasted no time in tossing out more by using another Icy Wind.

Sakki dodged the attack causing Zak to nearly shout out with excitement. However he held himself back. "Sakki Freeze it once more with Ice Beam" it worked before might as well keep on the same tactics.
Already in the air from dodging the others attack she focused her energies upon her mouth dropping the temperature around it before launching an Ice Beam at the Sableye.

Spinel was expecting that attack, so when the Ice Beam came his way he bounded out of the way in plenty of time. He'd considered back flipping away, just to taunt his opponent, but decided keeping it simple was harder to mess up. Then he shot off another simple Icy Wind.

After Sakki was hit with the last ice attack. Zak began to weigh his options and then made his decision. They could go out fighting or he could they could try once more to freeze the Sableye. He could tell how weak Sakki was getting just by her movements. She wouldn't last against another few more of the sabelye's attack. Two at the most. "Sakki try Ice beam once more!"

Spinel easily bounded out of the way again, and this time he couldn't resist sticking his tongue out at Sakki.
"Focus, Spinel," Lyle warned him. Their opponent was almost beaten, but that was no reason to get sloppy.
Spinel made a face, but resumed attacking.

After being hit once more she landed a bit too weak to fly. With out her trainers command the dragonite used Swagger in response to the little pokemon's vulgar display.

Spinel just looked off to one side and yawned pointedly.
"Let's finish this off," Lyle said. "Aerial Ace!"
Spinel bounded forward, leaping high into the air to come down for a quick overarm slash.

Sakki was unable to avoid the last hit. When she fainted Zak withdrew her into her pokeball. "thanks for the battle" he had learned quite a lot from it, especially about how he would go about Sakki's next battle.
