Marx blinked his eyes awake, shifting, then wincing a bit and lifting a hand to his head, then groaning with a bit of a laugh. Maaaan.... What did he do? He felt sore all over! His head hurt and-- Oh. Right.... His eyes dulled as they stared up at the ceiling of the pokecenter, recalling what he had just been through. "Less than ideal" would be about the nicest way anyone could ever possibly use to describe that experience. Marx wasn't one to let a single instance ruin an entire future of possibilities, but... he was definitely going to approach future gatherings and balls with more concern. He....
Wait!
He sat up suddenly, leaving all air in his lungs behind, his breathing coming to a halt a moment. He needed to check on his friends. His pokemon were safe, he knew that, but he hadn't been able to check his Holo Caster.
With this single thought in his mind, he looked around, snatching his belongings from the chair beside his bed, and quickly digging through his bag to find the communication device. When he pulled it out, he was actually surprised to find he already had a few messages, and his eyebrows shot up when he noticed that one of them was form Alex, and, apparently, rather old. Now that he thought about it, how long had he been out....? He shook away the thought, checking the message, and nearly collapsing back onto the bed in relief. Instead, he shifted and leaned against the headboard.
So, Alex was okay. Apparently she had managed to leave the mansion. Did that mean she didn't now what had happened? He looked off to the side, gripping the holocaster and wondering if he should tell her. He didn't really know what to say in response. Biting his lip, he put the device around his neck, then shifted, sliding his legs off the bed, and listening to Rose's message and feeling his stomach drop with guilt. She sounded terrified....
'You're awake.' Felix suddenly appeared otu of his pokeball, staring blankly at Marx, and scaring the trainer so bad he jumped back, lost his balance, and flipped off the bed, landing on the ground. Felix blinked at the horrific spectacle of over reaction. "O-ow... Yeah, I'm awake... Sorry," Marx muttered, pulling himself back up and rubbing his head. He looked down to see that his shirt and pants had been removed, probably so they could get cleaned, considering their... stains. He blinked a bit, then looked at Felix, frowning. "Did you hear Rose's message...?" he asked, apparently assuming that had been the reason for the pokemon's appearance, even if it didn't entirely make sense.
Felix simply blinked and stared back at him. Marx sighed, then lifted up his holocaster. He needed to check in with everyone....
First, Alex. "Hey Alexandra... S-sorry I didn't reply earlier. Where are you....?" Audio only. He sent the message, then started up a reply to Rose, this time using visual as well. "Rose, I'm fine. Are you okay...? Is Fynx with you?" he asked, concern clear in his face, and his voice. He knew that the girl had got her pokemon back, just like he had received Trapinch... well, Flygon now. But he wanted to make sure she had the pokemon out, with her. For... stability, and support.
With that message sent, he started up an audial message for Isis, Zero, and Shenaiya. "Guys, are you okay? I-I just woke up a little while ago. Where are you?" he asked, then sent the message. He sighed, running a hand up into his hair, then shook his head, forcing away the tired energy. Actually, he felt pretty good, all things considered! And as he felt an odd, reassuring presence settle in on his mind, nudging the memories back, he could sense his usual, happy disposition returning. Really, all he had to do was just not think about.... that! It was simple-- not thinking was practically his forte!
"Is everyone healed?" he asked Felix, grabbing his clothes and stepping into his jeans. 'Yes. Nurse Joy has everyone taken care of. Flygon is very eager to see you....' he forewarned. Marx laughed a bit. "If he tackles me like he did at the Ball, I'm going to have an even more impossible time staying up. He's big now!" he remarked, laughing, and managing to brush over the memory without recalling the situation itself. Felix eyed him a moment. It was still... amazing the boy had no idea his pokemon's actual gender. Flygon didn't seem to care, though. In fact, she was greatly displeased at the idea of Felix correcting Marx, perhaps because she didn't trust him to do it nicely, or perhaps because she simply... didn't mind.
"Anyway, come on, we should get going," he said, grabbing his bag, anxiously waiting for some sound from his holocaster to indicate his friends had replied, "I still need to go by the Ranger School, and we should... we should really probably train more..." He almost faltered, but it was a true fact, even without the Halloween Fiasco to encourage it. He only had two gym badges, he still needed to prepare for contests, he needed to get into the Ranger program so he could start on that... he had a lot of work to do. Unfortunately, he would probably have to put some of his pokemon into the PC system, so that he could focus on forming a core team, btu he was determined to tend to all of them at least at some point. Heck, he still needed to nickname most of them!
With a nod from Felix, he pulled on his backpack, leaving the room, and heading through the main pokecenter. He gave a wave and his appreciation to Nurse Joy, who looked at him with a bit of concern, even though his hair was now hiding the healing head injury, but who nodded and wished him well. With that, he headed for the exit of the building, with Felix following at his heels.

Cheria power walked into Oldale, keeping her head down. Why did people have to sit on the route and bother others? "Slow down, Cheria!" She couldn't. Cheria wanted to get to the Pokémon Center and do what she had to do so she could hide. "He didn't mean to scare you....Will you slow down!?" She slowed down a bit and walked as calmly as she could. Cheria knew the guy hadn't meant to jump out at her like he did. She saw the Poochyena that was chasing him. Still, it was terrifying. Approaching the Pokémon Center, she forgot to look up to find the door and ended up bumping into someone. She looked up and went as still as a statue. "Cheese and sprinkles....Not again." Aaron reached up and tugged Cheria's sleeve. No response. So, the Kirlia jumped up and hit her head. She snapped out of it and then slowly backed away from the guy she bumped into. "I....S-Sorry...."

Marx could have been at least partially to blame for the collision, admittedly. As he walked out of the pokecenter, he wasn't exactly looking where he was going-- instead he was keeping his head turned back towards Felix, who was walking just behind him. 'Where do you think we should go to train?' he thought at the pokemon, 'Actually, where ar--' His train of thought was cut off when someone bumped into him, and he blinked, eyes wide as he looked down at the girl, reflexively grabbing her shoulders to help stabilize her while taking a step back to keep his own balance.
"O-oh, uh, whoa, are you okay?" he asked, looking down at her with surprise, then concern. He blinked a bit in confusion though as she seemed to freeze up, only noticing the kirlia as he tugged on his trainer's sleeve. He quirked an eyebrow, glancing back at his own pokemon, who looked flatly back up at him, then at the other two. "Uhhh.... Hello?" he asked, growing worried. He blinked and jumped when the pokemon with the girl suddenly hit her on the head, withdrawing one of his hands and looking at the kirlia with wide eyes. Wh-what...?
He dropped his hand as she backed up, raising his eyebrows a little and tilting his head to the side, but then offering a grin in response. He laced his fingers behind his head, stepping out of the pokecenter so the doors could shut behind him. "Heh, it's fine!" he reassured her lightly, tilting his head slightly. It wasn't like she was that heavy or anything-- he hadn't even really stumbled from the hit!
He perked up when he got a response, quickly checking his holo caster and checking Shenaiya's message, smiling a bit when she said she was alright. He gave a quick, apologetic smile to the girl, ducking his head a bit to quickly respond to Shenaiya's message. "Heh, I'm glad you're alright. I'm in Oldale right now. You heard from the others?" He quickly sent the message, then looked up at Cheria, giving a sheepish smile. "Sorry about that. Are you alright though...?" he asked, brow furrowing a bit with worry as he took a step forward. He knew it was a bit rude to make a message like that, but... it was a bit of an emergency situation. Hopefully she would understand...

Cheria could she this guy wasn't upset and was even a little concerned for her. That didn't really help, though. She tried to run off when he grabbed a holo caster to respond to a message, but it was like her brain and legs were completely out of sync. Her brain said to run, but her legs got the command to lock up. When he took a step toward her, Cheria literally jumped back, hugging herself. Now what did she do? Cheria wished she was back home with her dad. She never should have left home. "Um....I-I don't, uh....F-Fine?" Looking up at his trainer, Aaron gave her a sympathetic look before looking at the other's Kirlia. The usually carefree Emotion Pokémon developed a serious, protective glare in his eyes. Hopefully this guy was one to take a hint from his team better than he was from a girl. "Can you keep your guy on a leash? Cheria's terrified, and he's not helping." Aaron crossed his arms as he spoke, unknowingly moving to stand in front of Cheria. Not that he was any Michonne, but he could confuse the guy if he had to so she could get away.

Marx's eyes widened and his eyebrows raised when the girl actually leaped backwards at his advancement, and he immediately, at least, stopped moving, dropping his hands to his side. "Are.... are you sure?" he asked uncertainly, clearly confused at her behavior. He shifted his weight, and Felix glanced up at him, but then looked at the Kirlia that addressed him. He stared at the other pokemon a moment, then glanced at Marx, contacting the trainer directly.
'Marx, leave her alone. You're probably scaring her,' he remarked bluntly, watching his trainer. Marx blinked, looking down in surprise at Felix's comment. "H-huh?" Well he hadn't meant to scare her! He wasn't even sure what he did! Maybe him stepping forward like that had looked aggressive or something? Or... He pressed his mouth into a thin line as he tried to figure out what he did, but then turned back to Cheria, arms held helplessly out to the side. "Look, I'm really sorry I-- AH!" He was suddenly cut off when Flygon's patience ran out, and she released herself from her pokeball-- and right on top of Marx, landing on top of him with a very happy chirrup.
Of course, the brunette was completely squished under the dragon, but he didn't seem to be hurt, despite being... face first in the ground, with one hand twitching from underneath her. Flygon gave a trill of joy, leaning down and nudging her trainer, who uttered something unintelligible in what was clearly a very strained voice-- probably from the weight of her still sitting on his back. The dragon pokemon just sang again, but looked up as she noticed Cheria. She lifted herself up, her wings snapping out and fluttering, lifting her off her trainer and forward, to land in front of the female trainer and her pokemon. "Geruu~!" she greeted happily, her little arms tucked in and her eyes closed in a smile. Behind her, Marx groaned, getting up and swaying a bit on his feet, looking a little dizzy from the sudden.... hug, if it could be called that. He looked like he'd be alright, though, at least.

He seems to assume pokemon wont' hurt their trainers, but is still surprised when they swat at them... Even though his pokemon do that, or more, to him all the time =w= ;

It seemed he backed off a little, which gave her a littls room to breathe. They were still close, but at a comfortable distance. Aaron relaxed, too. Until a Flygon appeared and crushed the male trainer with a...hug, maybe? But, it was enough to make Cheria giggle and take out her camera to get a picture. When Flygon suddenly noticed her, the green dragon decided to come closer to say hi. It surprised Cheria, and she moved back, but she smiled regardless and waved. "Hello, Flygon~! Would you mind if I take a picture of you?" Sheena, who had been resting in the bag, peeked out at the Ground/Dragon-type. Picture? When and where? "It's not for you, dumdumb.""Shut it, girly. I know that." Aaron fumed and would have grinded Sheena to sprinkles if he could. He wasn't a girl!

Marx rubbed his head a bit, one eye closed as he tried to pull himself back together, but smiled as he saw the girl seem to relax a bit thanks to Flygon. He shifted back, crossing his arms over his chest, watching as the green-yellow dragon pokemon fluttered her wings and perked up with interest as Cheria mentioned taking a picture. "Feroo!" she agreed happily, making curious chirruping and sing-song sounds rather than the usual self-name variations, or draconic sounds most pokemon or dragons used.
She fluttered back a bit, looking down as she placed her feet with likely unnecessary precision, adjusting her weight, settling, making sure she was placed squarely on the ground, and then looking readily back at Cheria, eying the camera with curious interest. Felix had slipped off to the side so he wouldnt' get caught in the picture, looking very much ready to go back into his pokeball. He would stay out, though, just in case, to make sure Marx didn't do anything stupid, and to help with Flygon, if it was needed. The pokemon likely wouldn't have any trouble communicating with her, btu she was... sometimes difficult to understand. She certainly didn't speak English, not even telepathically, like some pokemon did. She communicated through emotions, impressions, body language, and simple intonation, rather than words, or descriptions. She was picking up on some English, but... very little. She seemed much less developed on that than most pokemon.
Marx had waited patiently while Cheria took Flygon's picture, but he perked up when he suddenly noticed another pokemon emerging from the girl's bag. "Uh, hey... what's that?" he asked curiously, eyebrows raised as he pointed to the Froakie, leaning forward and taking half a step closer to get a better look. He was pretty sure he hadn't seen a pokemon like that before! Or, well, at least not that pokemon. If he had, he forgot, though he might have seen one of its evolutions or something. It kinda looked like a Croagunk, but.... cuter! And not nearly as big or menacing...

Cheria watched Flygon pose, thinking it was adorable how the Pokémon did so. When she was ready, Cheria lifted her camera and adjusted the zoom and focus for the best picture. After taking it, she looked at the image in the preview screen, saving it to have developed later. The other trainer suddenly spoke, getting a bit closer to look at Sheena. Of course, Cheria took a step back when he did this, which caught Sheena's attention. What was wrong with her trainer? Jumping out of the bag, Sheena hopped forward so the other could get a better look at her without disturbing Cheria. "Froakie.""She's...Froakie. The, uh....K-Kalos Water-type Sycamore...gives to new, um, trainers...!" Cheria went over and knelt behind Aaron, though it was a very ineffective hiding place. "...Hey! You managed to say more than five words! Way to go, Cheria~." Well, true. She usually didn't say more than four words before running off to hide. Still, it didn't really help.

Marx gave an uncertain, confused sort of glance at Cheria when she moved away from the slightest shift towards her, but brought his attention back to Froakie as the pokemon hopped from the bag. "Heh... she's adorable!" he commented, smiling and kneeling down, offering his hand out to Sheena. He looked up at Cheria, giving her an almost amused, questioning look when she seemed to be... hiding? He didn't question it, though.
"Have you had her very long?" he asked, either oblivious to, or ignoring, the awkward discomfort and continuing the casual conversation. He was just... too friendly, and to happy for some nice, normal interaction. A pleasant distraction, to be sure. Flygon chirruped curiously at Cheria's behavior, walking over and bowing her head down to give a questioning sound, then sniffing at the girl, as if to see if perhaps she was trying to keep her distance because she smelled, or something. She seemed fine, though... So why was she hiding?

Sheena looked at the other trainer's hand, tilting her head a bit. She'd seen Sycamore do this sometimes. She believed it was called a handshake? Raising her paw, Sheena placed it on his hand curiously. "Fro!" Well, he was a nice guy. So, then why was Cheria so scared? She had been scared of Sycamore, too.
Cheria glanced up at the other when he asked if she'd had Sheena long. "No....I got her a day ago, I think. Um...." Cheria stood again after Flygon came over to inspect her, and herself, which made Cheria give an apologetic smile to the green creature. "It's not you. Sorry, Flygon." Cheria looked at the guy and took a deep breath. "Cheria....I'm Cheria B-Barnes." She counted that as a successful introduction. At least she didn't squeal this time. Something about this guy seemed so...oblivious and innocent. Almost to a worrying level. And, she wasn't even worried about herself when she thought that.

Marx positively beamed when Froakie placed her paw in his hand, closing his eyes with a bright smile. "Hehe! Nice to meet you, Froakie!" he chuckled, gently shaking her paw, and then releasing it. He lifted his hand up, giving her a gentle rub on her head, then shifted his gaze up to Cheria, still perfectly at ease despite her nervous behavior.
"Heh, well, she already seems pretty strong. I bet the two of you will make a great team!" he remarked, giving Sheena one more gentle pat, then standing up. Flygon crooned curiously as Cheria reassured her, tiling her head to the side like a bird, then smiling and leaning forward to gently touch her head to Cheria's arm. She straightened up as Felix seemed to say somethign to her, straightening and looking at him curiously, her wings fluttering. "Heh, nice to meet you, too, Cheria!" Marx greeted, giving a grin, but this time managing to keep his distance. Instead he laced his fingers behind his head, rather than offering to shake hands. "My name's Marx Alamastir. So, are you from Kalos, then?" he asked, opening her eyes to give a curious look. Rose was from Kalos... and Shenaiya at least had a Fennekin, also from Kalos. It seemed that was a pretty popular region! He would have to go explore it sometime...

This guy was definitely one of the more decent ones Cheria could have run into. He was nice, and seemed to keeping his distance. Whether that was intentional or not, she didn't know. But, it was helping her keep calm. "Thank you....I hope we'll work well together." She gave a smile to Flygon again at her show of affection before she straightened up to look at the other Kirlia. Her companion introduced himself as Marc Alamastir, which was an interesting name. "Yes. I'm...from Coumarine." Had he ever been to Kalos? The way he looked, she'd guess not. Having a holo caster didn't mean he was from there. They were sold all over now. Holo caster....I wonder if it'd be easier to talk to him if it was over messages? Well, before they parted ways, she'd ask. Well, try to. She might have to have Aaron do it for her.

Marx grinned lightly, but blinked a bit as something seemed to occur to him. "Oh, that's right..." he murmured, pulling a pokeball from his waist. "I hope you don't mind," he commented, holding the pokeball up, and releasing Basil from his pokeball. The grovyle appeared behind him, arms crossed and head bowed. He opened his eyes to look at Cheria, but then closed them, remaining silent and still right where he was. Marx glanced back at him with a quirked eyebrow, but then shrugged.
He tilted his head to the side, kind of like a curious puppy, as Cheria mentioned her hometown, then gave a slightly sheepish sort of smile and rubbed the back of her neck. "Heh, I don't think I've ever really been to Kalos," he admitted, then put on a thoughtful expression, "I don't think...." He seemed to consider it a moment, then shrugged, shoving his hands into his pockets, but walking over to where Flygon was, admittedly still near Cheria, but without encroaching on her personal space too much. "Anyway, I definitely don't know where Coumarine is. What's it like?" he asked, reaching up to pat the dragon pokemon, who gave a happy cry and leaned into his touch, then gave him a lick in appreciation. He closed his eye, grinning past the sloppy kiss, and wiped his face clean, continuing to pet her as he turned his gaze back to Cheria while awaiting a response.
Basil, meanwhile, settled down on the ground, laying back and plucking a strand of grass to place in his mouth. Felix, meanwhile, finally disappeared back into his pokeball, apparently content that the grass type would keep an eye on their... questionably intelligent trainer.
