Marx smiled and nodded, though he gave her an odd sort of look, not quite distressed, but... conflicted almost, when she mentioned being independent as well, for the sake of your pokemon, and yourself. "Yeah... I know," he muttered, scratching the back of his head as he dropped his gaze down and turned his head slightly. He remembered the Ball, where his pokemon, and his friends, had needed him. Could he have done more? He certainly hadn't been particularly brave, but he'd tried his best to try and help them. Cheria was right, though... If he'd been by himself, he wasn't sure he would have been able to summon up the strength, and then what? He didn't even want to think about what might have happened to him and his pokemon...
He shook off the heavy thoughts and smiled when she mentioned Dewgong, smiling curiously as he ruffled up his own hair. "Heh, I thought so," he remarked, though he'd admit, he wasn't sure. He always got Seel and Spheal and their evolutions kind of mixed up... He blinked when a Ratls suddenly jumped out at Cheria, standing back with his hands held together behind his head as he watched the battle, smiling as she won, then continuing once she had finished healing her pokemon. He bought his ticket, then waited. "C'mon!" he said excitedly, sprinting over as the ferry began loading passengers. He waited for her once he was on the boat, leaning on the railing as zubat hid back into his pokeball to avoid the bright sunlight, and Basil released himself to recline on the deck.

Cameron's nervous expression returned as he entered the city. He didn't see all that many people wandering around at the moment, but that did not do much to ease his nerves."...L-let's just get through here fast... A-alright...?"he stuttered as he looked at the Treecko sitting on his shoulder. Allegro had an odd look as he faced his trainer, but eventually nodded."Ko!"The grass type didn't understand why his trainer didn't seem to like towns and cities very much, but figured it might have had something to do with getting mugged shortly after partnering up with him. If that was the case, he'd just have to make sure he could protect the wispy teen if anyone else tried to attack him.
The black-haired teen didn't get very far into the town when a Pokemon of some sort that was carrying a small basket hopped over towards him."Hm?"As the small, rabbit-like Pokemon dug through the basket, Cameron crouched down to get a better look at the creature. The upper half of its body was a color somewhere between blue and teal, while the fur that topped its ears and covered its lower half was a bright pink."Bun? Bun!"After quite a bit of digging among the contents of the basket, which Cameron could now see was full of small, brightly-colored eggs, the creature pulled one out that had what looked to be a Beautifly pattern on it and held it up to the teen.
Cameron chuckled as he accepted the small egg and looked it over."This looks great! Thanks, little fella,"he said, then gave the small bunny Pokemon a few pats on the head before it hopped away to give eggs to more people. As he straightened back up, Cameron noticed that Allegro was staring at the egg."Did you want to look at it, too?"he asked as he held the egg over towards the Treecko, then laughed as the Pokemon took it from his hands and looked it over."I guess it can't hurt to let you hang onto it."The teen smiled, then worked on making his way into the city. He still felt off about being around so many people, but at least the cute encounter made him feel more calm at the moment.

Even though the encounter with the Easter Bunneary had helped somewhat, Cameron was still nervous as he made his way through the city. He kept his eyes low and hummed to himself as he kept to the road through Petalburg. Allegro held the colorful little egg in his lap and hummed along as he rode on his trainer's shoulder, somewhat oblivious to the teen's concern. It wasn't like the two of them were in any more danger, after all. Even if they were, he'd make sure his trainer didn't get grabbed at or knocked over. Again.

The teen's expression finally brightened back up when he saw that the city's exit was close by."Alright! Now it's out of here and into Petalburg Woods! Better hold on!"he warned as his pace picked up, then broke into a run as he felt the Treecko grab onto the side of his neck with one of its hands. He wasn't exactly the fastest person, and he couldn't run for all that long, but he could still manage to make some good time as he sprinted for the city's exit.

Well, that was another victory in the bag. Even if the battle had almost turned out to be mistake. Kneeling, Teito used potions on Akira before standing, and he noticed Kasei was gone this time. The Litleo quickly walked up to him, though, carrying a Lucky Egg. Man....If they were stealing all this, Teito was going to have his hands full. It was then another unique Pokemon caught his attention. A yellow Spritzee. Well, the more the merrier.

Cameron was once again looking uncomfortable as he entered Petalburg city. The rather leen teenager glanced around some as he started to make his way down the street. At the moment, all he wanted was to get back over to Oldale so he could do some training and maybe catch a few Pokemon. Even though he knew he wanted to focus on contests, Cameron was also aware that Allegro would need to get stronger if the two of them expected to reach even the closest contest hall. On top of that, he couldn't just rely on one Pokemon for every contest, so he would need to capture different kinds if he expected to do well in the various categories.

As the teen walked, he soon became aware that some sort of Pokemon was following him. Looking around, the black-haired male saw a pale yellow Spritzee floating along behind him about level with his head."Oh, hello there~ Aren't you-"he cooed, only to be cut off by the flying fairy spraying a small cloud of perfume into his mouth. Cameron was left coughing and gasping for some fresh air after the Spritzee's little surprise attack, and it seemed that was not all the Pokemon was going to do. When Allegro hopped off his trainer's shoulder to confront the strangly-colored Pokemon, he ended up getting a peck on the cheek, and not necessarily the damaging kind. It was still something that caused the grass starter to fumble for a while, at least until smacking the Spritzee with a well-placed slap.
While the Spritzee glowed in preparation to heal up some of the damage that had been done, Allegro tried to strike again only to trip over and get himself hurt. By now, Cameron had coughed out most of the perfumed that had been sprayed at him and was now digging out a Potion and heading over to the grass type."Hold still a moment, Allegro. One more stumble like that and you're apt to put yourself out of the fight."As he spoke, the teen held the Treecko and sprayed the Potion onto him to at least repair some of the damage done. He flinched slightly as he saw the strangely-colored fairy fly over, but apparently all it wanted to do was kiss the injury is a sort of apology or something before getting back to being ready to fight.
With both Pokemon now mended up and ready to begin the fight again, the pale yellow Spritzee spat out a new cloud of perfume, this one larger than the one she sprayed into Cameron's mouth. It seemed to work against the fairy type, though, as the pleasant scent helped Allegro focus his senses a bit."Hurry and use Pound!"Cameron called out, to which he received a nod from the grass starter before the Pokemon went over and smacked the Spritzee a couple of times. He did at least try hurting the Pokemon too bad, and it was starting to look less like an actual battle and more like the fairy was checking something about how the grass Pokemon battled.
It seemed that the fairy was finally ready to use an attack, and after letting out a sad chirp a gust of scented wind blew away the cloud of perfume and struck the Treecko. This wasn't quite enough to knock Allegro out, though, and after one last smack it looked like the Spritzee was done fighting. Allegro gave a nod when the scented bird chriped a few times, then went over and tiredly clambered up onto Cameron's shoulder. The Spritzee then flew closer to Cameron and eyed the ball on his belt before looking at the trainer."Um... Were you... Wanting to come with us?"he asked hesitantly and smiled when he received a chirp in return."Fair enough. Welcome abord... Um... I guess I should figure out a name for you now..."As he spoke, the teen pulled out a white ball with a red strip along the seam.
The Spritzee chriped a couple of times in a form of a laugh, then pecked at the ball that Cameron pulled out. The yellow fairy was sucked inside and the ball shook only once before clicking shut. Cameron gave a nod, then let back out the tired Spritzee and held the fairy with one hand while clipping the Premier Ball onto his belt with the other."Well, you certainly seem to be a pleasant Pokemon~ How about I call you Mezzo?"The yellow Pokemon immediately chriped happily at the name, earning a laugh from her new trainer."Alright. Mezzo it is~ Now let's get you and Allegro healed up~"Cameron then carried the small fairy in the palm of his hand and let Allegro ride on his shoulder as he made his way for the city's Pokemon center.

After a quick trip to the Pokemon center and a bit of waiting, Cameron was back on his way with Allegro sitting on his shoulder and Mezzo flying nearby. The underweight teen gave his two Pokemon a grin before making his way out of the city. He was done with large buildings looming over him and bustling crowds for the time being. Of course, given he intended to be a coordinator, Cameron knew he'd have to deal with his little people problem eventually. Until then, though, he just wanted to avoid the problem as much as possible.

That was hardly an excuse to Teito, though, and it was even taboo in the Lumiose underground. It looked like it was made of chocolate, and had cream covering. His chef instincts kicked in and he beamed. If he could recreate that pattern on one of his desserts, it'd be perfect!"No chances. Kasei, help me out here."The napping Litleo yawned and stretched in his hood before taking his time to approach the Buneary. However, once he had, Kasei wasted no time in swiping at it to challenge the thing.

After the Buneary fell, Teito retrieved a ball from his bag and tossed it at the unconscious rabbit. It put up quite the struggle, but lost to the containment sphere. Teito let out a quiet "yes!" before Kasei went over to pick the ball up and give it to him."There's no way this Buneary's leaving my sight until I get every detail of my dessert perfect~."Teito treated the young Litleo before lettin him crawl back into his hood to nap. Of course, almost immediately after, another yellow Spritzee appeared. More training opportunities."Hm....I don't think anyone other than you and Kasei can take them on, Akira. Which sucks, because it'd be a great way to make them stronger.""Tor-chic!"Looked like Akira wanted to help the others."Alright. You weaken them and then I'll switch you out. Okay?"
