Birch soon found a new man entering his lab with a rather happy disposition. That was always nice to see, not to mention he claimed to already know about the pokemon he had available. "Well that makes things easier for both of us doesn't it?" Birch grinned right back at Davis with his usual large dopey grin. "So which pokemon will you be taking exactly?" Birch clasped his hands together and rubbed them, anxiously awaiting the name of this trainer's chosen starter, though part of him hoped that he didn't want to choose Torchic, since he'd just gotten singed not too long ago by a rather feisty one.

Davis was excited, he looked around and thought for a moment. He knew that there was a Water, Fire, and Grass Type available " I'm going to go with a Water Type. " He smiled and looked at the Professor, he was a short round guy but totally awesome. He knew that his mother was going to be surprised that he chose a water type compared to her Fire type that she started with.
Birch gave Davis an admittedly relived grin. "Water type eh? So you want a Mudkip then!" Birch His new task set, Birch turned to go hunting through the cascades of boxes for a pokeball containing the mud fish pokemon. A Mudkip, a nice, docile Mudkip that wasn't going to burn the rest of his lab coat off. Well, just in case, Birch didn't let the mudkip out of it's pokeball, instead taking the capture sphere right to Davis along with a few extra items to help him on his journey. "Here you are! One Mudkip, a pokedex, and some potions and pokeballs." Birch smiled at the boy. "Is there anything else you need?" He asked, just to make sure.
Davis has Received:
-Infinite Pokeballs -Infinite Potions -Pokedex
Level 5 Moveset:
-Tackle -Growl -Water Gun

Smooth dancing movements carried him easily through the door of the lab and a bright smile would greet any who were in it. "Hey! I'm here to get a starter!" Jazz's voice was a pitched, singsong falsetto of excitement as he ambled further into the building, his green eyes glancing around curiously for whoever this Professor might be. He was not a native to Hoenn, but he'd already decided from the moment he set out from his own hometown that he was going to get a Torchic. Fiesty, fiery little birds who evolved into a great kickboxing champion, with moves like those he'd be able to get himself a breakdancing partner in no time! Of course, he'd need to train the little guy (or girl) first. The scruffy red-haired boy stood poised with his arms folded behind his head as he waited for someone or another to notice his presence. The anticipation was quite unbearable.
The sight of the dancing boy through the doors of the pokemon lab had certainly caught the attention of the various lab aides, but to be perfectly honest, they were rather used to strange antics. The professor they worked for was Professor Birch after all. Strange antics were the norm around this lab. Jazz's sing song voice carried over through the lab, however Professor Birch was fast asleep at his desk, having stayed up all night yesterday trying to organize his cluttered office and sort some research papers. The burly man sat back in his chair, his slumped figure sinking low into the leather and snoring rather obnoxiously like a sleeping Ursaring. After no reply to Jazz, the aides seemed to know what had happened, exchanging glances to see who would be the brave soul to go wake the professor. Finally one of them sighed and stood. "I'll go get him....." She grumbled, sticking her hands in her coat pockets and moving over to Birch's office. Seeing the sleeping man, she knocked loudly on the wall. "Professor, wakey wakey. We've got a new trainer for you." Birch twitched, but otherwise snorted and continued to sleep. "....Professor come on, wake up." She knocked louder, knowing better than to actually try and maneuver her way inside the folder and book ridden floor that was Birch's office, but as Birch continued to snore, she grew rather agitated, enough to cup her hands around her mouth, take a deep breath, and shout; "PROFESSOR BIRCH!!!"
The professor jolted awake, which from his sleeping position caused him to slip out of his chair and fall onto the floor. "Whazzat?! Huh?! Who?! I'm awake!!!" Birch cried out, still half asleep. He wiped the drool off his mouth and lazily glanced around for the source of his nap's disturbance to find his agitated aide standing furiously at the door. "Oh, hello Marylyn. Did you need me for something?" Birch gave a sheepish smile and stood, or rather, he attempted to stand and hit his head on his desk. Grimacing, he tried again, being more careful this time. "There's a trainer here to see you." Marylyn explained curtly. "Ah! Well why didn't you say so~" Birch quickly hopped around his office, an advanced game of hopscotch to carefully avoid knocking over stacks of folders, before finally making it past a fuming Marylyn and into the main entrance of the lab to see Jazz. Marylyn, who'd muttered several things under her breath and given up on the professor altogether, huffed and took a seat at her desk, furiously typing down her research paper while the professor addressed Jazz.
"Hello hello! Sorry about that wait!~ What can I do ya for good sir?" Birch grinned a big cheesy smile, oblivious to his slightly disheveled appearance. Or at least, if he did know, it didn't bother him in the slightest.

Cameron glanced around nervously as he opened the door to the lab and poked his head in. It seemed the professor was near the entryway already, which was good from the wispy teen's point of view. Unfortunately, the reason for the professor's appearance was that there was another prospective trainer, a bad thing. At least the other scientists in the building didn't seem to be paying too much attention, or else the black-haired boy would have just closed the door and waited outside for a better day, or maybe even a different week. Making a quiet groan, the teen cautiously stepped into the lab and quietly shut the door behind him, then stepped off to the side a bit so that he wouldn't be the way if the red-haired teen left in a hurry.
His orders were clear. Snag the starter pokemon from the lab belonging to Birch. At the very least he was to get one but his orders were to get all three. This wasn't a missing directed at winning some long standing goal for the organization or even so much as getting revenge. It was him proving himself a worthy tool by proving his system worked. A system Yukie had been working on for three years while in a youth jail system in the Orras region. Yukie was no stranger to trouble and it was this system that had won him his freedom. Leashing a Rhydon that smashed down the prisons walls allowing him to escape. The system allowed him to hack into almost any Pc system and do as he wished.
It was late afternoon and the lab was going to be locking up for the day. Sneaking in through an opened window in the back Yukie was now sat hidden under a table in the labs main pokeball reserve with his Laptop wired into the Labs mainframe. He was currently cutting off the systems firewalls so he could transfer the starter pokemon to the tela pab. Once that was done it was a simple grab and dash. The firewalls dropped and Yukie was in. Seconds later the leta pad dropped the first of three pokeballs. The machine booting was to load and Yukie watched in horror as the second pokeball dropped. Fearing that the professor or those within the lab would hear the machine Yukie was sure he had to leave now rather then take the risk. Yanking the Laptop free from the Pc system Yukie stuffed the two balls and the laptop into his bag before making a dash for the door. Shoving past the professor and the new potential trainers Yukie made a B line dash for the the woods.

Before Jazz could answer Birch's question, another rather socially awkward boy crept into the lab, seeming that he really didn't want to be noticed at all as he slipped away from the door and assumed the wallflower position. Birch gave the bashful boy a warm smile. "Well come on up! Don't be so shy! There's plenty of pokemon for everyon--" Birch started to encourage, but suddenly there was a slight panic amongst the Aides in Birch's office, and a lot of shouting. "Firewalls are down! There's been a breach in the system!""Where is it coming from?!""Looks like the main pokeball reserve--" Before the Aide could finish explaining, a red haired boy was dashing out of the lab, shoving Birch aside as he escaped, two Pokeballs being shoved in his bag as he ran past. "Oof!" Birch swayed as he was shoved, but managed to catch himself, staring in awe at the boy through the open door of the lab as he made a break for the woods beyond Littleroot. Some of the Aides ran out after him, dialing the nearest Police station, but Birch stayed put as another Aide handed him a pokeball. "He got all but this one from that batch sir....." They explained. Their storage units came in batches of three, each batch containing a Treeko, Mudkip, and Torchic. If that boy had run off with two.... Birch was curious to see which two he'd gotten, and to sate his curiosity, he tossed the pokeball into the air to reveal a Treeko. "Alright then. Someone add to the police report that it was a Mudkip and Torchic that were stolen if we get the chance...." He said quietly, giving a light sigh. He turned his attention back to Jazz and Cameron with a weak smile. "Sorry you boys had to witness that. I hope it doesn't put you off going out on a journey of your own, but crime seems to have skyrocketed these days...." Birch glanced down at the grass type in front of him, who quickly scampered up his side and onto his shoulder. "....Treeko?" It said curiously, looking over the trainers before it.
The escape wasn't clean by any means. As soon as he unplugged the laptop the whole blasted place went up in alarms sounding in every room in the building. This wasn't going to go unnoticed now. The missing called for absolute discretion and secrecy to the utmost but here he was running like a idiot past the professor and some wanna be trainers with the expressing of hell on his heels as the aides gave chase. Making it to the woods before the aide Yukie make a quick change of direction towards an embankment where he could lose them but before that one of the aides caught him. Turning with lightening relaxes Yukie lunged and smashed a knee into the mans chest forcing the aide the let go and to the ground. Yukie wasted no time in escaping after a quick side kick to insure the man stayed down. The downed aide would slow any others further for sure but none the less he couldn't risk getting caught again. Finally Yukie made it to the mouth of a small cave deep into the forest and miles from the lab and people. He had a premature hiding place already set up here just in cause of these very event. Bedding down Yukie sat motinaless until he was sure the aides were long gone but not so long as to let the police unleash growlith to give chase.
Wow had i known this was how you were going to do it id have waited until the other trainers got the starters gonk Now i feel bad for Yukie being a little s**t ! scream

Cameron started to give the professor a nervous smile when the older man encouraged him to move closer. He even took a few steps before he heard the sound of people shouting. The black-haired teen ended up backing into the wall again as various aides yelled about a breach of some kind. The mystery soon solved itself, though, as someone that looked to be a little under Cameron's age with bright red hair ran past the group and out the doorway. The black-haired teen made a move to try to stop the redhead, but quickly stepped back yet again to avoid getting knocked over by the frantic aides.
The teen certainly had an unhappy expression on his face as the professor let out the one Pokemon that remained out of the three that were targeted, a little Treecko that looked confused about what was going on. Not that it was the Treecko that was causing it, far from it. The teen had been strongly considering choosing a Treecko. It was the fact that someone had just robbed the lab right in front of him, the professor, all the aides... And succeeded. The exchange between the aide and the professor just made Cameron feel worse about the whole situation. Especially when the professor apologized to the two potential trainers for having to see all that had just happened.
The look in Cameron's eyes hardened a bit as he thought, and although it softened when he faced the professor, there was a certain something there that hadn't been before."I-if it's alright, sir... I'd like to take that Treecko with me as my starter,"he said after a somewhat shaky start, tilting his head afterwards as he looked at the Treecko."I can understand if you want him to stay here... But it's not pleasant to have to stay behind while all your friends go somewhere else. I'd imagine it's worse if none of you have a choice in the matter, right?"he asked, although it seemed the question was more directed at the Pokemon than the professor.
It's fine Ohm, this isn't like the gyms, Birch can give out multiple pokemon at once x3 Pinata seems to be busy anyways, so I don't see the harm in getting you and Lia through and out while Pinata deals with whatever is preventing them from posting here x3 Also lol gender swap don't fall for it Aides! The Wallflower boy seemed to just be gaining some confidence finally, even taking a few steps forward before all the sudden commotion made him retreat back again like a frightened Poochyenna. As confusing and startling as being roughly shoves aside by the frantic thief, the red haired burglar was long gone before Birch had even realized what happened. Some of his Aides were on the case at least, dialing the police station, a few had taken Birch's advice, adding to the record that a Mudkip and Torchic had been stolen once Birch had summoned out the remaining Treecko from that group. The poor grass type was just about as confused as Birch, but once things had settled down a bit and he'd apologized to the two young trainers in front of him, Cameron finally stepped forwards, asking if he could have the Treecko that was perched on his shoulder. Though, the boy somewhat retracted his question insisting that he would understand if Birch wanted to keep the Treecko here, but seemed to turn his attention to the Treecko, mentioning that it probably wasn't pleasent to stay behind while its friends went somewhere else, especially if it didn't have a choice in the matter. "Treecko....." The grass type murmured quietly. Birch glanced at the Treecko on his shoulder and nodded. "Well then, I'm a reasonable man. Treecko, what do you think? Would you like to stay here with me, or accompany this young man here on his journey?" The Treecko straightened up slightly, glancing over Cameron thoughtfully before glancing back to Birch. "Treeck. Treecko, treecko tree." It stated before jumping down to the floor with a grunt and scampering up to Cameron's shoulder instead. "Tree~ko!" It smiled at the Proffessor, seeming happy with it's choice. Birch chuckled at the sight and handed Cameron the grass type's pokeball. "Well, his choice seems quite clear to me! I'm quite happy that Treecko is going to be with you though, I can tell you'll take good care of it, and besides, the Lab isn't much of a place for pokemon. I've enjoyed these Pokemon's company, but I've accepted long ago that one day they would be given away to a trainer like yourself, so don't worry about it alright?" Birch grinned, then a look of realization crossed his face, and Birch snapped his fingers. "Oh! And before I forget..." He grabbed a Pokedex, some pokeballs, and a few potions to hand to Cameron as well. "Take these with you too. They'll help you on your journey." He smiled and nodded, turning his attention back to Jazz. "And what about you young man? I haven't forgotten about you. Don't worry, not all of our pokemon were stolen, there's still plenty of Mudkip, Treecko, and Torchic to go around, so take your pick and don't be shy about it!" Birch insisted with a wide smile.

While the Treecko perched on Professor Birch's shoulder made his choice, Cameron stood where he was and twiddled his thumbs. Soon enough, though, he let out a slightly startled yelp that quickly turned to laughter as the grass Pokemon climbed up the wispy teen's back and perched on his shoulder instead. The teen's chuckles continued as he rubbed the gecko Pokemon's head, then had a more comfortable-looking smile as Birch continued speaking."Well, as long as this guy's happy with the idea, then it's fine,"he said, then reached out and took the ball for the Treecko before clipping it onto his belt. The grass type could stay out of his ball for now, since he was bound to have felt cooped up in there.
The black-haired teen's thoughts were brought back to the situation at hand as Professor Birch pulled out some other items and handed them to the teen."Ah, yes. Those are rather important, aren't they?"he asked sheepishly, then took the offered items and tucked them into his bag. Well, save for the Pokedex, as that got slipped into a pocket of the pants he was wearing."Well... I'd say have a nice day, but it seems to have taken a bad turn... Uh... Hope your night goes better, at least,"he fumbled out as a farewell just before the professor turned to talk with the other redhead in the room, then left the lab just as quietly as he had entered.

The train ride to Little root wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. It was cramped, and no one seemed to care about squashing the girl in the wheelchair. Of course, Ari didn't want pity. But, a little respect wouldn't kill anyone. What a bunch of jerks and lady jerks. But, she was soon off the train and rolling on over to Birch's lab. Sleeping soundly on her lap was Hōpu. The Growlithe was warm, and his soft fur was comforting."It won't be long now, Hōpu....Soon, you and Legna will have a new Pokémon pal to play with."Patting his head softly, Ari reached the doors to the lab and went right in when they opened for her. When was the last time she was in Littleroot? Arceus, it was so long ago."Hello? Professor Birch, are you home?"
Hope you don't mind. You're the only mod that's online from what I saw. sweatdrop

It's fine. = w=
Luckily for the newest trainer, Professor Birch was indeed in his lab. It was kind of unusual, with how often he ran out to do his studies out on the field. And usually getting chased around by an angered wild pokemon. "Yup! Hey there! You here for a starter?" the husky man greeted, walking up to the girl in her wheelchair. She had a growlithe on her lap, sleeping soundly. Well, at least before his boisterous greeting, perhaps.

Ari smiled at Birch's greeting. He was a loud man, but he just seemed happy. And, she loved happy."You guessed it~! Do you have any Treecko available?"Hōpu opened one eye to look at Birch before yawning and jumping off her lap. Aw....That was disappointing.I already had a Fire- and Water-type. Might as well get a Grass-type, right? Plus, Treecko are cute~! And, cool. Grovyle and Sceptile are amazing Pokémon.
