Mikoto HageshiiMember of the band Nyx Class 2-2'...and I'd give up forever to touch you, 'cause I know that you feel me somehow.' "Oh look, some cheesy fake blood and dollar store tape. Off to a great start." Mikoto clicked his tongue as he entered, though inwardly he passed a quick 'Iiii'm sure that blood's not real' through his mind. The whole place was way too dimly lit...didn't these places normally rely more on jump scares than atmosphere? And all those exposed lights looked like a fire hazard. There was making a setting, and then there was just reckless. "Did I give the wrong impression, Mirror-mirror? Of course I'll lead." Mikoto started moving forward at a fairly quick walking pace, turning just quick enough to offer another 'no biggie' smile towards the girl. This was a test of courage now, wasn't it? Then he had to win.
"If you're feeling nervous, feel free to lean on my shoulder. Iii've passed enough tests of courage to infuriate even Makushima with my manliness. It's always tough breaking the girl's heart afterwards when she proposes to the 'manliest guy alive' on the spot." Mikoto ran a hand through his hair and faked the scene of turning down a girl with an exaggerated crossing of arms, clearly goofing off a little too much as he recounted his Don Juan-ian adventures. It was about that time they turned a corner, due to the first classroom they encountered being locked. But just as the hallway turned, Mikoto took a step forward...and suddenly found his vision filled with a pair of red eyes glaring back at him. "A-aaaah-aa-ah Iiii..." He was gonna scream.
Aannnd for those not hit with a jump scare, a doll had just popped up from the floor boards when he stepped on the corner of it, presenting him with a face full of macabre, but otherwise not dangerous-acting, little girl's doll-ness. 'You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be, and I don't want to go home right now.'

Tsukiyo
A pair of transparent hands silently rose up through the floor when nobody was looking and tied Mikoto's shoelaces together before vanishing as their owner dropped back down and snickered. She darted away a moment later, aiming to find her next victim and see what kinds of pranks she could pull on them. Pranking the staff of the haunted house might be fun, too...

Mirai Hatto The ugly years of being a fool... Violet eyes took in the scenery in front of them, curious about the quality of the props in there. Blood, police tape, creaking floorboards. It certainly gave the right, spooky mood, and the girl had to admit that she was starting to feel just a tad nervous. Nothing too bad yet, though. "They did a good work this year..." Mirai mused to herself as her attention turned back to Mikoto as he walked past her to lead, reacting to her teasing. He smiled easily, and she couldn't help shaking her head, an amused chuckle escaping her lips. She knew he was flirting, and she could almost guess his intentions of coming to this place by the way he insisted she could lean on him when needed, and the dark haired girl was amused by his effort. Sadly, the green haired boy would need more than that to actually get to her. She was the queen of flirting, so she knew the game. Still, it was fun to see.
"Is that so? I've heard Makushima is quite manly, himself. Girls all over him all the time. Quite a heartbreaker, isn't he?" She waited for a reaction, poking at his ego a little, though before she could get a reaction of some kind, she bumped into him, just as something jumped in front of them. A shriek escaped her, the jumpscare getting the best of her as she jumped back. "Stupid doll! Appearing out of nowhere! Sheeesh!" Mirai laughed sheepishly, but it was obvious she had been shaken up by that. Still, she flipped her hair and tried to brush it as nothing, her gaze turning to her companion. "What way should we go?" Ain't youth meant to be beautiful...?

Mikoto HageshiiMember of the band Nyx Class 2-2'...and I'd give up forever to touch you, 'cause I know that you feel me somehow.' "What the heck was that!?" Mikoto hopped back a few steps on one foot, arms up protectively. That's when his shoelaces being tied came into play, and he fell backwards onto his neck. Yikes. After a few moments passed and he wasn't being wrestled to the ground by beasts from below, he let out a deep breath, re-tied his laces, ran a hand through his hair, and stuffed his hands back into his pocket to show that he was totally un-phased as he got to his feet. "Are you okay? Watch out, it looks like there some pop up traps here or there..." Clearly he had meant to set that trap off, to warn against watching their footing in the future! Intentionally! And his reaction had just been to make her feel normal when she got scared, because...reasons!
"Well, in this sort of situation, they also say to use the left hand rule right?" Mikoto scratched his cheek, trying to think of a way through this three-way maze. He still had to take the lead, being the guy and all, so he'd apply his mind to this as best he can and...didn't she just say something about Makushima being manlier? THAT guy!? "You know, Makushima's not that great. The guy's kind of a playboy. No substance to 'em. I think the only thing he really enjoys is drinking and messing around with fans. That stick in the mud would never come to a place like this...I guess I'm grateful though, since it means I get to spend the day with a cutie like you." Mikoto smirked as he started backpedaling...down the right hallway, because his mind was clearly a little bit elsewhere. He felt a bit of a cold sweat on the back of his neck now, as the atmosphere set in. Not just the dark hallway, or the bloody handprints...but pop-out dolls as well? This was getting intense. On the other hand, to his eyes Mirai was still cool as a cucumber...he was more than a little impressed. 'You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be, and I don't want to go home right now.' Mirai Hatto The ugly years of being a fool... The girl stepped back, pressing against a wall as her green haired companion tripped and fell to the floor in a daze. For a moment she was startled, but the look on his face definitely hit her in her funny bone. And so she giggled loudly...and even louder when he brushed it all off as if nothing had happened. "I am s-sorry. It's just... I... pfft..." People falling down was her weakness alright?! She couldn't help it! It wasn't as if she was a total mean b***h, alright! "What did you trip on, anyway? There's nothing here!" Oh, right... "Are you okay? You didn't hurt yourself, right?" Making sure he hadn't hit his head or break anything, Mirai turned her attention back to the corridor ahead of them. A three-way, and he was picking the one on the right?
"Didn't you say...lef- Wait? What is that noise?" The girl paused, tense and silent as she listened to a piano playing in the distance, her skin crawling at the discordant melody. "Aha...ha... um..." She turned back to where Mikoto had been standing, only to see he had already started moving to the right corridor. "Waaait! Don't just walk ahead blindly!" The violet eyed girl protested as she hurried to his side again...Ain't youth meant to be beautiful...?

Mikoto HageshiiMember of the band Nyx Class 2-2'...I would stay awake, just to hear you breaathing~' As Mirai yelped that he not run ahead, Mikoto turned and stuck out a hand, holding hers as soon as she'd begun. "Relax, I won't run ahead. And it's not blindly. I saw a...thing...on the wall back there. I'm pretty sure it's this way." Mikoto rationalized rather flimsily, rather than admitting he'd gotten ahead of himself going down this path without thinking it through. Keeping a cool head about it though would help him ignore all the frightening stuff, and having a partner through the excursion like Mirai was definitely a big helping hand as well. Even in the dark exhibit he could still see light reflecting off her clear violet eyes, the dark atmosphere failing to dampen her cute aura. The hallways were pretty depressing too, changing very little even as they headed down the right path. He felt like the Haunted House was a little bigger than he imagined, so talking helped to alleviate the tension in this over the top attraction.
"I'm glad we got this chance to spend time together. You might not have noticed, but we're in the same class together, Mirror-Mirror." Mikoto smiled, leading the way this time, but still making sure his hand didn't slip out of hers if she didn't want it to. He hadn't spoken to her before today, which wasn't surprising since he'd only been in Inaba for a short time, but he still remembered spotting her at her seat for the first time. It'd be a bit mean to claim he saw something special in her right away, but she was much cuter than the rest of the girls in class, so she stood out right away. It hadn't been enough to make him talk to her though, and in the end he'd only learned her name today, when she introduced herself. So "love at first sight" was definitely a fun angle off the table for anyone outside the Haunted House who might be doing some shipping right now. "Class always seems a lot less dull with a cute girl sitting by the window. I can just say I'm watching the birds when I glance to the side...eh heh, just kidding." Mikoto scratched the side of his cheek, figuring he should stop bragging for a little bit. But he did have the best view in the class...oh jeez, she'd definitely hit him if he said that. "So...what's something you're interested in, Mirror-mirror? Are you a part of a club?" He remembered asking about joining the Music Club a few days back, but he was still on the fence since it was a traditional orchestral band, as opposed to something more modern. And after the way Nix had scampered off when he asked her about it, he felt like he'd received a bit of a cold shoulder from them...though he wasn't ruling it out, yet. Maybe his fellow guest to this Haunted House could make a suggestion for a club to join?
A short time later they came to a large door at the end of the hall, and after a brief moment, Mikoto sighed. These things always led to something scary... "I'll...go first." He put a hand on the door's large metal handle, and pushed. The door slowly swung open, a creaking noise filling the air, and inside was...! An empty room! A light hung down from above, but the room was almost completely the same as those before, except for the stairs on the far side. They'd reached the exit after all. "Wha...no way! I thought there would be a trap for sure." Mikoto let out a loud sigh of relief at the sight of the way forward. And as if the Haunted House sensed this, a thick and raspy gasp came from the end of the hallway behind them, like someone wheezing through harsh, dry lungs. "W-what was that!" Mikoto turned, but they could see nothing. Only the long hallway, it's lights hanging low...and then pzzt! The light furthest from them went out. And after a few seconds of fizzling, the next one did! Each getting closer to the pair. But nothing was there, only the raspy growl coming closer, and the dimming lights above them. Mikoto stepped back towards the door to close it, and suddenly the entrance swung shut behind them, barred by some force! Mikoto tugged on the door a few times in exasperation, the eery sound bothering him more and more. "Tch, i-it's stuck! We can't get back out of here anymore, so should we...uh..." Mikoto turned his head to look at Mirai, and suddenly the light in the room fizzled out. Everything was pitch black.
"Wuh-waaah! Get to the stairs!" Mikoto called, groping at thin air. When he dashed to the door he'd ended up letting go of her hand, and now in the black he couldn't quite find her again. He couldn't see Mirai, and knew the same must be effecting her. They knew the general area of the stairs, so if they were careful they could probably get upstairs where there was light again, but what was this!? What was going on...what was the growling...WHO SET THIS UP!? Mikoto was just about at his limit after this trick. He didn't care what anyone said...he was never going to a Haunted House again! 'I could spend my life in this sweet surrender~'' Quote: You find the stairs! But are suddenly assailed by an invisible something. The lights kick off, and the door is sealed, leaving you with only one way to go...forward! But to get anywhere in the dark, you must roll for it!
Roll 1-4: 1: You arrive upstairs. 2: You arrive upstairs. 3: You bump into (and find) your partner(s). 4: You grab someone's hand. It's not your teammate's. Don't go upstairs, and things are gonna get worse.

Mirai Hatto The ugly years of being a fool... She kept her hand on his for the time being, the initial spook she had felt with the eerie music passing and giving way for slight amusement at his pleased expression at holding onto her hand and acting all cool and brave to settle in. Her gaze shifted to the things around her, the hallway staying the same as they advance. It felt like they had been there for a while... and somewhat that felt wrong to the girl. Wasn't this a classroom? Why did it feel like they were in some kind of huge maze?!
Violet eyes shifted back to Mikoto as he tried making some small talk to distract them from the tense aura around them. "Hm? We are?" A little smirk crossed her lips as he mentioned them being in the same room. She feigned a look of surprise, as a pleasant smile masked her amusement. "I hadn't noticed... but it is nice to know you are there." Who wouldn't notice a famous band member being part of the class? The whispering and giggling of the girls couldn't let her forget it even if she had wanted. Now, that he didn't know her stung a bit. Tch... Famous boys...only caring about themselves.
He continued talking, and Mirai couldn't help the snort that escaped her at his attempt of flirting. She shoved him playfully, rolling her eyes. "Stop thaaat..." She giggled, before shrugging at his next question. "I don't have much time after school for clubs, really. I can get really busy at the agency... with photo shoots and runways. You know how it is, don't you?" Her eyes sparkled with amusement, before turning her attention back to the road ahead. "Though... Drama sounded like an interesting club. Are you joining the Music one?"
It was then that they reached a door, and the heavy aura returned to her in an instant...almost as if the house was reminding her that this wasn't over...and that their little amicable chat wouldn't help her anymore. Mirai tensed a bit, but tried to keep her cool. Nothing tooooo scary had happened yet, even if she had to give it to the group for organizing this. It was...spooky enough. The door creaked, and the junior peeked from behind her green haired companion, only to let out a little scoff at the empty room. Yep. This was as scary as it would get.
Or so she thought. The poor fool.
A noise behind them made the hairs on the back of her neck to stand on point, whirling around to find nothing there. Then the lights on the end of the corridor popped out...and then the other one...and the other one. "Ah! Move! This isn't good!" Panic was in her voice as she pushed Mikoto for him to move away from the door, only for it to slam shut behind them. "Open it! D-do something!" Her voice came out in a high pitch, higher with each word. Alright this was getting terrifying. "This is enough! Stop this this inst-!" The girl shouted at no one in particular, stomping her foot to the ground, almost as if expecting the students behind this experience to chill out a bit on the spooky part. She was rewarded with complete darkness as the power in the room went out.
It was pitch black...she couldn't see her hands in front of her as she groped at thin air in an attempt to get her bearings...or get a hold of her companion. "Mikoto? Where are you?! Where are the stairs?!" She took a step forward, bumping into something that felt like a desk or something. A whimper escaped her, as she moved around the object...her hands in front of her.
That was when her fingers brushed with something that felt like skin? A hand? "There you are! Gosh! Do you have to be this quiet? Sheesh."
"Your hand is cold."
... Wait.

The hand gripping Mirai's squeezed reassuringly, then started pulling her through the darkened halls, faster and faster. Every now and then, it leaned to the side, and faint contact on Mirai's side made it clear that she was just barely avoiding desks or other... unknown objects... in the darkness of the hall.
An unknown amount of time later, the guiding hand finally stopped - and revealed that Mirai had been brought to the bottom of the set of stairs leading to the next floor. More importantly, though... did she dare to look back towards the darkness, or would she rush towards the light?

Mikoto HageshiiMember of the band Nyx Class 2-2'...I would stay awake, just to hear you breaathing~' Mikoto leaned against the wall and took several deep breaths as he tried to recover, his knees still shaking from the scramble to escape wh..w.hat...whatever the hell THAT thing was! He knew he had to muster up the courage to go back for Mirai, but it was harder than you'd expect when you were facing some sort of horrors that could n-never be...be real...damn it! That's right, this was a Haunted House. Why was he loosing his cool so readily, when it was just a bunch of props. Mikoto facepalmed as he shook off some of the shivers he'd gotten a moment ago as he rationalized what he'd seen again, the feeling of icy fingers down his back disappearing. He felt like an even bigger idiot for scrambling up the steps now, and leaving Mirai behind when she could easily get hurt wandering in that dark room or the like. He needed to go back and apologize, and then make amends for acting spineless. He wasn't cold like Touma or Yuuya, but he was no coward damn it. To let a girl down in a place like this...it was worth revoking his man card, damn it.
Just then he heard foot steps coming up the stairs, and let out a small breath of relief. It looked like Mirai was okay after all, so he turned to meet her at the top of the steps to show at least a moderate amount of consideration after the whole...scarefest moments ago. He took a few steps to meet the girl, but it was just then that a pair of heads crested the top of the steps...one with dark chestnut hair, but next to her at the same time..."M-m-m-m-mirai...w-who's that?" Mikoto raised a finger, pointing at the girl who's hand Mirai was tightly holding. He'd always been taught not to judge a book by it's cover, but this girl's appearance was pretty odd. Sure she was thin, and not too tan. She didn't seem like she ate a lot, and so far she'd been pretty quiet...but then there were the other things. Like her transparency...or her lack of long legs. Because she didn't have legs at all!! "G-g-ghooost!" Mikoto reached out and grabbed Mirai's (other!!) hand, pulling her towards the entrance to the second floor as he scrambled with jittery hands and riggled his non-responsive fingers around the doorknob, opening it and hurrying inside with the other victim of this HORRIBLE PLACE. DAMN YOU MATAKI.
Mikoto slammed the door behind them shut, failing to consider whether doors were even relevant to ghosts in the first place. A raspy howl came from the other side of the door as the handle shook a few times, then ceased...and Mikoto was now fully covered in a cold sweat which, luckily, was mostly hidden by his hood and outfit for the time being. "I didn't sign up for this! Are you okay Mirai? The ghost didn't get you anywhere did it? Are there any sort of m-markings-?" Mikoto quickly moved to size the girl up (for her own good!), seeing if she was alright. You never knew what sort of powers those hellish abominations had, and now that they'd encountered them, all the rules of common sense were out the window. Speaking of, the room they'd entered lacked any such lucky exits, with only two doors on opposite ends of the room. It looked like an empty office, with papers cluttering everything, scattered about on the floor and desk. There was a bulletin board nearby with important notes stapled to it, perhaps worth looking into. And most importantly...despite the murky light in the room, it was clear that none was coming in through the windows of the doors before or behind them. Were all the hallways blacked out like this? W-was this part of the ghost's tricks? Mikoto gulped again, attempting to smother his paranoia before it got the better of him.
"...f...ou're hearing this...it means you've become...apped, like me. You...ust find the ke...no hope, otherwise..." A monitor nearby had a broken video playing repeat, and the audio made it clear it was worth listening to. Craaaap. These things always made situations worse... 'I could spend my life in this sweet surrender~'' Quote: You find an abandoned office! The door behind you is blocked by some unknown force! The only way is forward, but it seems like the lights aren't working in the hallways! Perhaps you should investigate the office before leaving, perhaps by playing the recording, searching the desk nearby, or checking the bulletin board near the door.

Mirai Hatto The ugly years of being a fool... She saw the light, and Mirai let out a sigh of relief.
A sigh of relief that got stuck in her throat the moment she saw her green haired companion waiting for her at the top of the stairs. The dark haired girl froze and let out a blood curdling shriek. Mirai was already moving when Mikoto grabbed her hand, almost colliding against him as they scrambled ahead, in an attempt to run away from the ghost. They shut the door close, and violet eyes couldn't pry away from the handle as it twisted and shook...the girl taking a few steps away from it. She was visibly shaking. "What the Hell is going on!? WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! Where's the emergency exit? There should be one! I will sue the school if you don't stop this in this instant! HOW THE HELL DID MATAKI ALLOW THIS?!" The girl cried in a shrilling voice, panic obvious in her tone as she mad her tantrum. There was no easy way out of the place, though...that was obvious.
Her gaze returned to Mikoto as he started asking questions, the girl calming down if only a tiny bit as she looked for scratches or whatever. She pushed him away lightly, hugging her arms around her. "N-no. I am fine. And that...that wasn't a ghost, doofus. It...HAS to be a student with amazing make up, r-right?" Yep. She was still in denial.
The junior started moving around the room, looking at it, and being secretly thankful they could have a little breather after that scare. It was then that she heard the recording, and once again she felt her blood running cold. "Hah. So funny..." There was no humor in her voice though, only doubt and fear..."S-so...we have to find a key. Maybe on this desk..."

Mikoto HageshiiMember of the band Nyx Class 2-2'Call you up in the middle of the night, like a firefly without a light...'' An eery feeling pervaded Mikoto's whole body. This place wasn't suppose to be this...this...SCARY, right!? Even Mirai was clearly frightened, which...made him feel a little guilty, because it made him a little happy she was relying on him. It was at times like this when a guy had to be reliable! "Where is the key though? I think we should try to play the message. Maybe the person who left this knows.." Mikoto moved to the monitor and looked for the device connected it, finding an old videotape player. This thing was older than most of the students...geesh, no wonder it wasn't working well. Mikoto hit rewind, and the whirring sound of tape moving responded for a few moments. Finally he hit pause, and then play, and the scratchy video began to play again...but this time, at least they could hear it in a calmer manner.
"Hello. If you're hearing this, it means you've become trapped, like me." An ordinary looking man with brown hair and bags under his eyes stared back through the tape, a grim look on his face.
Mikoto's eyes widened at the sight, and pointed at the screen. "No way...that's Mito Hurashi! He was a weatherman that went missing recently! W-what's he doing here...? Or...what was doing here?" Mikoto felt butterflies in his stomach as he thought about what it could mean, winding up in the same place as a disappearing TV personality. He'd been here? Or he'd disappeared here? He was feeling uneasy again...
"There isn't much time. There are...some sort of creatures here. We were just setting up for a shoot, when the first people went missing. It's impossible to fight them...but they seem to be frightened by light. They already shut off the lights in the hallway, but several of the rooms should still be safe. Most of them were locked though, in order to keep the monster out." It all sounded surreal, but the lights had definitely dimmed back on the previous floor, and now that the video had hinted at it, Mikoto moved to the door they'd come through before, jiggling the handle. 'Gulp...i-it's locked. B-but we came through here before..' That ruled out going backwards. What a pain. It seemed the advice from the tape was their only lead now, so Mikoto turned to focus even more intently than before. "If you flip the switch on the generator, the hallway should be filled with light again! That is the only way to proceed! Please, you must hurry." There was a crashing sound in the video, and the same raspy sound that had chased the pair through the hallway during their venture. Something was coming in through the window on that door, and the figure on the tape knew it. "You must find the key! There is no hope, otherwise.I hid it in this room, in the-a-aggh!" The footage became fuzzy as the screen flipped on it's side, as if something had knocked the man's camera to the floor. The tape ended there...
"...we need to find the key." Mikoto turned to Mirai, his face white as a sheet. He had put all the dots together from what they'd seen before, and what they were facing now. Aaaand he didn't like it. But he wouldn't lose his cool...is what he was telling himself on the inside, while his face showed just how scared stiff he really was, offering a pale smile to Mirai. "I-i'll search the desk, you check under all these papers on the floor." Mikoto started moving things around as he looked for the key, though it was actually on the floor, beneath the papers where...where the former visitor had been drug off by something. Mirai could grab that, and they could go forward...though it was of note that the documents on the floor didn't seem to belong to the man from before. They were lengthy and complicated, talking about some sort of 'experiment', and the results. The word 'terminated' was displayed several times. "I'm never telling my parents about this." Mikoto mumbled, glancing at what was beneath his hands. "S-so, do you have any siblings, Mirror-mirror? Aha ha...ha..."
...oh man, he was so done with this place. ...'It seems no one can help me now, I'm in too deep, there's no way out...'' Quote: Mirai and Mikoto have located the key! They may now proceed into the hallway, but don't tarry too long! There are five rooms on the left, and five rooms on the right. Only one of them will house the generator. Begin the search! Muahahaha.

Mirai Hatto The ugly years of being a fool... This was too much. How the students had had the time and money to actually do this place was something Mirai couldn't even fathom... and something inside of her was telling her students didn't come with this sort of place. There had to be something else involved...
Just the thought made the girl shudder. The supernatural was something she didn't want to encounter ever again... especially after what had happened to her that last year. A frown darkened her pretty face, her gaze falling on the screen as she tried to pay attention to the video to keep her thoughts from wandering into darker places. Nothing made sense... nothing at all. "The weatherman? It can't be..." It couldn't be; that would mean that she was right, and this place was right up in the 'supernatural alley'.
The dark haired girl flinched when the camera flipped on its side, and the video stopped abruptly, goosebumps crawling all over her. "Yeah..." He didn't need to say it twice. Look for the key. Got it. Her bravado was mostly gone, the girl genuinely scared as she knelt on the floor and searched for the small key around the many papers. She didn't understand what the documents were about, but there was something eerie about them. Something cold brushed her fingers then, the key there under one of the papers with big, red letters. The girl jumped to her feet and handed the key to Mikoto as they moved to the hallway. He was trying to make small talk, and Mirai turned to look at him, eyebrows furrowed.
"What? Siblings?" She was distracted...more worried about the many doors in front of them. They...didn't have that much time, did they? "N-no... I am an only child. Um... we should split up. See which doors are locked. We'll find the generator faster." Of course she was hesitant about her own idea, she didn't want to split up at a time like this...but, it m-made sense, right?

Mikoto HageshiiMember of the band Nyx Class 2-2'Call you up in the middle of the night, like a firefly without a light...'' "But I refuse." Mikoto put his hand up to stop Mirai before she ran away with this plan, giving off a calm aura as he did so. Sometimes, no simply meant no. "I'm sorry about before Mirai. Even if you don't blame me, I can't forgive myself for letting you slip away back there. I won't leave you alone again." Mikoto explained with a bit of a quiver in his voice why he had no intention of leaving her alone in this dark hallway again, especially in the midst of this Haunted House, and for a moment it must have sounded incredibly gentle...whiiiich was mostly because he was having a hard time raising his voice when he felt like he had something stuck in his throat. 'There are g-g-g-ghosts...there is no way I'm leaving you alone! If I'm going down, you're coming with me!' Mikoto smiled at Mirai sincerely. She got him in this mess in the first place, so they were facing these ghouls together!
"Besides...it's dark ahead, so we should be careful. And if one of us finds the generator, we won't have to spend time trying to get back to each other. Though, it's up to you. We can make a secret rendezvous~" Mikoto hummed the last sentence, instantly chiding himself for throwing in a song lyric which...basically said the opposite of what he was thinking, just because it came to mind. Hopefully she understood he was just humming to keep the EVIL DEMON GHOSTS out of his mind. "I think we should cheeeeck...that door, over there." Mikoto pointed down the hallway, towards one door in particular. Why that one, you may ask? No reason in particular! And looking, it turned out to be the furthest door back on the left. That was...one way to start. "They do tend to hide these things near the back, don't they? Maybe we'll get lucky..." Mikoto explained, somewhat believing his own logic. They did normally aim to put the secret exit near the back. They should give it a try...
'Oh man, did you hear me though? 'I won't leave you alone again!'. I bet she's so into me right now.' Hey...it was how guys thought. ...'It seems no one can help me now, I'm in too deep, there's no way out...'' Quote: Mikoto and Mirai are headed for the next floor! But first, they must find the generator!
Mikoto choose...the 5th door on the left! The room is empty, but there appeared to be a torn poster on the wall, with a hole behind it! Do you want to go through the hole?

Mirai Hatto The ugly years of being a fool... 'I definitely blame you. This was your idea in the first place.' Violet eyes remained impassive as the green haired rock star stopped her from going on ahead, before letting out a sigh and nodding. Despite it all... that little speech of his had been kind of cute. Even if he had run up ahead back then and left her alone with a freakin' ghost! Could she blame him? Probably not. "Alright. We'll stick together. And Mikoto...thanks." And to be really honest, she had been kind of hoping he'd stop her. Splitting up was the reason people died in scary movies, after all.
Mirai followed him as he chose the last door on the left, a pout appearing on her face. She would have chosen another door, but well... hopefully he'd get lucky.
No, they didn't. "There's nothing here..." The violet eyed girl let out a huffy sigh, her eyes adjusting to the darkness in the room. It could have been worse, she admitted. And that is when the torn poster and the hole on the wall got her attention. 'That's...not good.' "You go and and check it out. You chose this room after all." the girl continued, stepping just a little closer to the wall, and tilting her head to the side, trying to get a look. Like hell she'd go through there. "What if it's some kind of monster's lair? Perhaps we should throw something first. A rock or...whatever." Then she reconsidered. They didn't have too much time to spare after all. "Or just leave it. We can come back after we find the generator."
Ain't youth meant to be beautiful...?

Mikoto HageshiiMember of the band Nyx Class 2-2'Call you up in the middle of the night, like a firefly without a light...'' "Monster lair? That's a good one. Eh heh...heh...eh." Mikoto scratched his cheek and gave an awkward grin. Yeah, he kind of thought that was a possibility too...why did bad things happen to good people!? But, this was his chance to restore some of her faith in him! Maybe he could do it. He just had to work up the courage...get his mind off of the creepy atmosphere, you know? He started walking towards the hole, keeping one eye out for any movement as he kind of turned to show he was still talking to Mirai, even as he moved towards the poster. "I guess you got all the good looks in the family then, if you're an only child. Lucky~. I actually don't have any brothers or sisters either though..." Mikoto smirked and put a hand out behind him to pull the poster down. It was this carelessness though that betrayed him as an arm suddenly shot through the poster, grabbing Mikoto's arm with fingers like icy cold iron. 'Ayeeeeee!!' Suddenly the force drug the pop star through the hole, poster ripping and tearing as his body disappeared through the gap leaving behind only an incredibly unmanly scream.
There were a few moments of silence, and then...suddenly, light flickered on on the other side.
"W-what the hell! I'm...I'm alive! I can't believe this. Mirror-mirror! Mirror, are you there...!?" Mikoto shouted through the hole, the sound of footsteps rattling for a moment before his head poked out of the hole again, a noticeable cold sweat on his forehead. Yeah, he must have taken a moment or two to collect himself before responding...but what the hell was that!? "Y-you should probably see this...I found something. Eheheh." Mikoto was clearly trying to relieve a bit of the worry the girl must have felt, while at the same time showing he was alright. But...but seriously, this had been ridiculous. He wanted to go home! "It looks like the generator's in here. The door's locked though, so I think we're lucky there was a hole in the wall..." Yes, apparently their choice of rooms had been entirely serendipitous. I mean, I RNG'd to decide which room Mikoto would enter! It doesn't get sillier than that.
On the inside the room was much the same as the others, but the contents were a bit different. In the center was a fairly large generator, and strewn around were wrenches, tools, and parts of various origins which would have helped keep the equipment running. On the wall was a maintenance sheet explaining when the machine had been fixed or broken, and underneath it, laying still was...a skeleton. It's arm was draped in a ratty, torn black sleeve, just like the one that had grabbed Mikoto a few moments ago. That was impossible, because it was simply a skeleton, but then how did...? Anyways, they had one goal now. Start the generator, and find the stairs to the next floor! And they needed to hurry; the ghosts and ghouls were coming. ...'It seems no one can help me now, I'm in too deep, there's no way out...'' Quote: Mikoto and Mirai found the generator beyond the hole in the wall! Holy hell that was fast.
Now you need only activate the generator, and head for the Stairs!
Although, the Door you entered from is blocked due to a mysterious force. (It'll be unlocked when you start the generator and fill the hallway with lights.)
