Professor Elm came stumbling into the lab from one of the back rooms, hopping one one foot and shaking the other to free it of a cord that had gotten twisted about his ankle. He managed to lose it and catch his balance just as the young boy spoke, righting himself and fixing his glasses with a smile as he looked over at him, unsure whether his entrance had been noticed. "Indeed it is! Er, that is, they are!" he remarked, walking over, shuffling about a few papers and then quickly setting them aside. "I hope you haven't been waiting long. I'm Professor Elm. Are you here to begin a pokemon journey...?"
Kaito was so caught up in the pokeballs to notice Professor Elm's little trip up, which he probably would have tried to help the man with his issue. When he did speak, the boy nearly jumped straight into the air as he heard the professor's voice come out of nowhere. "Gah! Oh, it's you, Professor. You scared me..." Kaito said, rubbing the back of his neck in embarassment while Elm asked him if he was here for the usual trainer needs. "Mhm. I'm gunna go around and see all the Pokemon! Or become a Breeder or something. Maybe a Professor...I dunno, I guess." The boy admitted before pointing to the pokeball on the right, smiling proudly without fully knowing he was pointing at pokeball containing a Chikarita. "I've already chosen my first one too! Can I have a Totodile, Professor?"
The Professor jumped when the boy did, looking almost just as startled, but smiled a bit when the boy relaxed, looking apologetic at the fright he had given him. "O-oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to surprise you...." he apologized, placing a hand over his heart in a gesture of sincerity. He looked on curiously as the young man went on to explain his hopes for his journey, ambiguous as they were, placing a hand in his pocket and walking over. "Well that's fine! Part of growing up is learning what you do and don't want to do," he remarked, picking up one of the pokeballs with a smile, "And going on a pokemon journey is a great way to do that! Now..." He paused, letting the boy make his choice, but blinked when he declared already knowing which he wanted... despite pointing to the wrong one. "Well, that's actually a Chikorita," he chuckled, placing the Cyndaquil's pokeball he had picked up back down, "This is a totodile!" He picked the remaining pokeball, and promptly handed it to the young man.
"Oh! And let me give you a few other things as well!" he added, quickly turning to pick up a tray and gather a few items on it. He turned back, offering them to the young man. "Here you are! A few pokeballs and potions to start you off, and your very own pokedex! This device will record information on the pokemon you catch, and give you general information on any pokemon you encounter! If you ever need any help, you're welcome to contact me," he offered with a friendly smile.

"Oh. Whoops..." Kaito said as the Professor informed him that he had pointed to the wrong pokeball that contained his new partner. He pulled his hand back from the Chikorita's capsule, still smiling at the man as he patiently awaited his Totodile. Elm picked up both remaining pokeballs and set Totodile's one in his awaiting hands. He was visibly bouncing up and down in excitement as he felt the capsule make contact with his cupped hands. Eager to meet his new pokemon, Kaito brought out the fresh Totodile out of the pokebal, observing it carefully before being interrupted by the Professor. He gave him a Pokedex, some pokeballs and potions for him to use when out in the wilds, which Kaito figured he would be doing quite often. Interested in the Pokedex, Kaito scanned Totodile, the electronic voice droning out, "Totodile: The Big Jaw Pokemon. Its highly developed jaw is so powerful, it can crush practically anything. Trainers beware: this Pokémon loves to use its teeth. " Just as the pokedex warned Kaito, Totodile leapt up and chomped down on the boy's right arm playfully. A bit surprised, he winced and looked to Elm while he tried to coax the Totodile off him. "Ah...Thank you, Professor. Is there anything else I need to do or know?"

Professor Elm stepped back with his arms behind his back as the young boy released his pokemon and examined it with his pokedex, but blinked, eyes wide as the pokemon leaped out to attack the young child. "O-oh dear!" Quickly, he hurried forward, leaning down to bring his hands to either side of the pokemon's head. "N-now you let go!" He quickly grabbed hold, trying to find pressure points to make the pokemon release his grip on the young trainer's arm, and looking up at the question. "N-no, I think that's it! B-but, my goodness, are you alright?" he asked worriedly. He hadn't exactly had a pokemon attack one of the trainers before!

Kaito's new Totodile seemed to not mind being forced off his trainer's arm, looking up at Both Kaito and the Professor as the boy sighed in relief. She rubbed the spot where it bit him, noticing the lack of any blood. "Huh. It seems okay. Guess he's just pretty playful." The boy said as he recalled the Totodile quickly after Elm asked if he was alright. "Yeah, I'm fine! I'm used to a few bites. My mother was a breeder herself after all. Thanks Professor!" Kaito said, hurrying out of Elm's laboratory to begin his adventure.
Sebastian studied the doors of Professor Elm’s lab for a moment, an eyebrow quirked as he gathered up his nerve to go inside. He felt like a little kid all over again; that uneasy anticipation of receiving a pokemon for the first time creeping back in to flop his stomach. Which really didn’t make much sense. This wasn’t his first time really… more like a reboot second. But still… the unease was uncanny and unreal.
Of course, then again, he was going out for much different reasons this time. Before it’d been for an adventure, to get his foot in that world that filled the stories of so many of the trainers that he’d encountered working in Lavender Town. This time? It was to become a mentor; to help guide his brother once he got the itch to go on his own adventure. That was what big brothers were for right? Helping! And well, that was exactly what he was going to do. Of course that meant actually getting back out there and learning. The world of pokemon was much bigger than he remembered and that just meant he had a lot of ground to cover.
Which is why he’d opted to start in the Johto region. It’d place him a step ahead if anything and it was new undiscovered territory for him. Perfect for what was technically a fresh start. With that, and his courage partially regained, Sebastian straightened up, opening to doors of the lab and stepping inside.
”Heellllooo…?” He called, stepping inside, gaze wandering around curiously at all the intricate looking research equipment. Well, it was certainly the right place, Sebastian could tell that much. He continued on further inside, still looking around as he went. ”Professor Elm...?”

Professor Elm looked up from, well... under his desk. He'd dropped a few papers and the'd scattered all over the floor, but he quickly scooped them all up and stood. Dumping them onto his desk-- he'd sort them later-- he walked over, wringing his hands together a bit with a friendly and welcoming smile as he approached the young man. "Hello there! I'm Professor Elm. How may I help you?" he greeted.
Sebastian blinked, an eyebrow quirking curiously as the professor appeared from underneath his desk. Well that was certainly not what he was expecting. He tilted his head a bit, just sort of watching a moment before straightening back up, lifting a hand to give a slight wave as well as returning the smile.
”Nice to meet you too. Name's Sebastian.” He paused a moment, the awkward sensation of déjà vu coming over him once more. It was only a split second though before it passed, the man taking a breath and nodding before clasping his hands together. ”Ah ya, actually I was looking to get a starter pokemon. A Cyndaquil, actually if that's not too much trouble.” Sebastian remarked, watching the professor as he made his request.
"A pleasure, Sebastian!" the professor marrily replied. He tapped his fingers together a bit as he waited for the young man's answer, but he smiled brightly once more when he requested a pokemon. "Oh, but of course! I can certainly give you a Cyndaquil! If you don't mind, I'd also like to give you a pokedex," he added, moving to gather the pokeball and device, registering both for Sebastian, and moving to collect some other things, "It will help you identify and collect information on pokemon you encounter on your journey! As well as record data for Professors like myself in our continued efforts to learn more about pokemon." He gathered everything up on a tray, then returned to Sebastian, offering the items to him. "Here, take these to help get started."

- Sebastian beamed, giving a grateful nod at the professor’s announcement. He watched as the man proceeded to gather a few things, listening carefully as he waited. ”Of course.” He remarked, tilting his head curiously as the tray was presented to him. With a smile he stored away the pokeballs and potions into his bag first, before taking the pokeball containing Cyndaquil in one hand and the pokedex in the other.
”Alrighty then, sounds good to me.” He remarked, looking the pokedex over a moment before glancing between it and the pokeball. Sebastian seemed to concentrate on the pokeball a moment, as though trying to see through the little capsule for whatever reason. Finally, with a firm nod he looked back at Professor Elm and gave a grin.
"Thank you very much sir, I appreciate this a lot.” Sebastian stated. He placed the pokeball containing Cyndaquil onto his belt, using the now free hand to give the man a bit of a salute goodbye. ”Hopefully I’ll see you around then. Take care, Professor Elm!” And with that Sebastian turned to leave, ready to start his adventure… for the second time.

Arriving at the Pokemon lab Simon returned Noivern and went inside. A lab assistant came over asking Simon what he needed and Simon told him he was looking for Professor Elm. Leading him to the back Simon was greeted by the youngest of all the Professors. Professor Elm was the leading professor in unusual Pokemon abilities, Pokemon breeding and Pokemon evolution. On the back wall there was a plaque crediting him with the discovery of Pokemon eggs. "Hello, how can I help you?" Elm asked as Simon dug through his pack and withdrew two Ragecandybars. "My name is Simon Davis from Kalos and I would like your fire and grass starters for these,"he set the candy on the desk and Elm nodded. "That's great, so you wish to have Chikorita and Cyndaquil?""Yes sir, they will be the last two starters for my collection and I'm trying to get all of them to their final form." Elm smiled and nodded taking the candy bars and turning. When he came back around he held out two Pokeballs which Simon took, thanking the young man. As the starters went off to Simon's PC he gathered the Pokedex data as well. "Chikorita the leaf Pokemon. It uses the leaf on its head to determine the temperature and humidity. It loves to sunbathe." "Cyndaquil the fire mouse Pokemon. It has a timid nature. If it is startled, the flame on its back burn more vigorously." Heading outside Simon took a seat to look over more data about the newest Pokemon to his team.

Now that he had all of the starters he checked the Pokenav and chuckled. A mysterious benefactor gave him the choice of two mega stones and he had ironically picked stones for all of the Kanto starters. The Charizard X because he liked how Charizard X's shiny form looked since Charmeleon was shiny as well. The Venusaurite was for Sonia, the Bulbasaur that he got in a trade. Blastoisite was just on a lark but Simon was okay with that as well since Blastoise looked amazing in his mega form. At least from the images he found online of Pokemon battles. Pokeclips was a website where you could put up your Pokemon battles for others to see and comment on. Right now he was watching a Mega Venusaur battling a Mega Altaria. Dusknoir came out of his ball, watching the battles as Simon moved to a battle between Sableye and a Dusclops.

After watching two battles Simon flipped to the map of the area to see what Pokemon were around the area. One of the Pokemon that Simon wanted for his bird team was Skarmory which he could find in Blackthorn City. There was a chance he could locate a Teddiursa as well. Looking over at Dusknoir the Pokemon seemed to sense what he wanted and agreed that it would be a good place to train Simon's Pokemon as well. Koffing would have to wait a bit longer, get a bit stronger to fight Pokemon on his own. Returning Dusknoir Simon sent out Noivern and took off into the sky.

“So it’s clever of the professor to use his daughter as a lab assistant,” Daichi walked into the lab accompanied by a middle aged woman, one of the assistants at the lab, who chuckled as he complimented her, his tone was obviously joking but she blushed regardless. Standing a fair bit taller than her he was a prime physical specimen, he carried himself confidently as the two walked together towards the center of the lab.
“Oh my thank you, but no, I’m just a lab assistant. The professor should be in here somewhere,” she blushed and looked around the lab towards the back where the professor usually did his work, “PROFESSOR! THERE’S SOMEONE HERE TO SEE YOU!” her voice was deceptively loud and almost caused Daichi to flinch, but as usual he kept his cool. Looking around the lab he noticed the disorganization and clutter whether this meant that he was lazy or he was just busy he was definitely a man who didn’t have time to waste.
