"Just a spar." Rep sneered, once upon a time spars meant something, you could take some c**t to task over their bullshit, make them fight tooth and nail for their life, it was real ******** practice for the s**t they'd face out on the battlefield. Now you got cunts like this, waving ruled off as just spar things yet already playing by ******** stupid rules to begin with, like not really harming one another.
He didn't know if Zeke's heart wasn't in it of if the other man was just lazy, waiting for something more than he was being given with an impatience he found hard to conceal. When finally the charge came, he'd all but given up on it ever happening and was taken off guard, knocked clear off his feet, his shield severely rattled by the blow.
Hauling himself to his feet again he picked up the axe and dragged himself back towards the other man. "That's ******** everything on this island these days. Distant ******** encounters that don't mean ******** anything, co-workers smiling at shitty anecdotes but no really listening."
"Well I ********" He brought Tracey down. "Hate it!"

Zeke watched him fall, and that lazy smile lite up in satisfaction as the bright runes dimmed along the lengths of Lagertha's blades. It was always a show, hit or miss. Either someone went rolling across the ground, or the look on their face was was something to see. Unfortunately Rep didn't stay down. The Death was disappointingly quick getting back to his feet, and Zeke let out out a breath that wasn't quite a sigh. It would have just been too easy, right? If that had ended things. Too neat. For as cumbersome as Tracy was to wield, the massive axe was still a challenge to dodge. Rep brought it around swinging, and Zeke just wasn't quick enough to avoid it completely. It knocked the wind out of him, made him hiss through his teeth, but he kept his balance, even managed to retaliate with a hard chop to one of the man's hips. "Maybe if you weren't so damn unpleasant folks wouldn't be so distant with you, hmm?" Now Zeke? Zeke didn't care. People could keep their distance all they wanted, and that suited him just fine. On those rare occasions someone caught his attention he didn't mind going out of his way to interact with them. HP: 11 DMG: 3 CHG: 1/3

Rep flinched at the blow to his hip, feeling the strikes more and more through his weakening shield. But once again he whirled away, trying to keep them both apart, as always having to work a great deal even for this thanks to the scale of the axe.
"Hahahah. I'd rather be disliked than some fake p***k." he said with a breathless and despairing chuckle. "Even if I was nice, they'd still aw be faker than a big rubber d***o."

"Really, it just sounds like you love to b***h." He chuckled, even as the heavy axe colided with his shield. It ******** hurt at this point, with his shield so low, but that didn't mean this entire thing wasn't so ridicules it was actually funny. Rep kept fighting for distance, and Zeke was determined to make it hard for him. He stated close, swinging at the other man to keep him moving, even if the blades didn't connect. "Damn right I love to b***h." Rep grinned broadly, as if sharing some secret that no one had ever asked the right question about before. "If I didnae it'd aw build up in me like black toxic sludge and then, well -"
He leapt, and this time he got the height he'd been wanting, climbing up and up, wishing he had a charge to push him higher before twisting around mid air and slamming down the enormous axe on the other man's shield.
"People'd ******** die."

Of that, Zeke mused uselessly as the axe came crashing down over his head and sent everything temporarily black, there was no lingering doubt. The blow shattered his shield, knocked him to the ground with enough force to leave his ears ringing and vision spotty. Not nearly as bad as it should have been(death), but most assuredly a powerful plow, and if not for the wards there was a good chance he'd have walked away with his skull cracked. As it was, he was going to have one mother of a headache. Hissing a wince, he moved just his arm to gingerly touch against the point of impact, and already a lump was forming. It was a small comfort that the skin wasn't split, but ******** that hurt. It took him a minute, swimming head and general disdain for Rep as well as the current situation, to gather the desire to pry himself up off the ground again. When he did it was slow, careful, and teeth were grit against the already steady throbbing ache in his head. "Thanks for that. Really, that was all kinds of fun, quite enlightening." Every word was dripping in sarcasm. On his feet, Lagertha disappeared, returning to the stone around his neck, and her didn't even bother looking back at the other man as he just turned to head back for the dorms. "I'm assuming this is over," he called back over his shoulder, dismissive. "And that being the case I will bid you a good evening."

Rep regained his footing, his muscles claiming with interest on the effort he'd spent on that last swing, it was the main thing he had, what he lacked in finesse and combat learning he made up in those hits, the last ditch efforts and fears, the epitome of glass cannon. It had saved his a** here, somehow but it had been close regardless.
"Good fight." he said with a smirk. "Even if you didnae volunteer for it." His comments were not however sarcastic in the slightest. "Have a good night." he said, genuinely grateful for whatever offering he could give the voracious appetite of the whip.
