SOLO
His Family
Sly looked around the room he was placed in ever since he hatched. It was full of scarves hanging from floor to ceiling. As the small Ekans slither among them he liked the feel of the cloth against his scales. He was looking for him. The first being he saw upon hatching...the human. He knew on instinct alone that the thing before him wasn’t ‘Parent’ then another creature came into view. The Dragonair….this one was more like a big brother to him. Regale, that’s what he said their Human called him. Sly was told that his name was Sylvanian. Long but Sly liked how it rolled off his forked tongue. He slithered then heard it...singing. A sound his big brother told him about. It was what their Human did when he was thinking. Sly slithered out and stopped.
There his Human was, Rai. Regale told him that Rai was a gentle soul. Sly knew that already...he closed his eyes as he took in the lullaby~~
“Hush now my baby,
pretty little baby.
The stars will light your way.
Your safe and sound,
just follow the light.
You’ll find your way
through the night. “
It was the start of a song the small Ekans knew well, Rai sang it every night to him. He slithered forward letting out a small sound to let Rai know he was there. The human turned bright blue eyes to him, his normal dark glasses perched on his nose. His hair was wavy, tipped in aqua blue and flowing around his shoulders. He smiled, “Hey there baby.”
Sly slithered up and into his Humans arms. Basking in the warmth that he had come to love. He would of been lulled into sleep if not for the fact he heard his Human suck in a sharp breath. Sly looked out to see a couple pass by. A dark haired male had his arm looped around a fair haired males shoulders. Sly watched as the fair haired male looked up with a smirk, he looked up to see hurt in his Human’s eyes. That wasn’t allowed. He nuzzled his Human till the male chuckled.
“Thank you Sly. Your a sweetheart.” Rai muttered as he held the Ekans. Sly was proud of himself and then looked up as Regale slithered into the room. There were no doors, Sly was free to explore the whole manor. The other members of his small family had their own rooms. He would spend time with each. Then rest in his room for a bit, then spend time with Rai. The small snake trilled as Regale nuzzled him in silent praise of making their Human laugh. Sly let his forked tounge flicker out to give a small ‘kiss’ in return. Rai cooed then nuzzled Sly, “Oh you are too cute! Sly. Nothing in this work would ever make me lose love for you. That goes for all of you…”
Sly looked past Regale to see the Kirila Twins, Radiance and Irradiance. Beside them was Runic the Absol, next to him was Exie the Umberon. Sly looked back up to Rai…
