Mintaka was wiping her hands on her fuku as Antiope moved on, and after adjusting the skirt, she was following after. To her knowledge, and her studies of cultures, resting a skull on a spike was often a warning to travelers. In many of the communities in Africa and more often, ancient Asian countries, it was to keep bad luck and bad people away.
Sometimes it was intimidation technique. She didn't think one skull would deter most travelers, but as she joined the path, she found herself instantly overwhelmed. The skulls were not small and delicate like most females, but squared and the one she had dealt with? Heavy.
Her steps grew quieter, her hands reaching out for the Mantis's. "There...is..." She started to feel the effect, overwhelmed? Terrified? Some of the skulls were stained with red, and it made her wonder, what if Anti's world was still populated? What if there was still...
"I am not leaving you." Mintaka's blue eyes met Anti's green ones (to which she was a surprised to see the color, not common for asians) and squeezed Anti's sleeved hand tighter. "Cause....Because I will protect my friend just in case." She nodded but she felt her other hand tighten on her skirt, as she looked at the ground and not the rows of skulls...

"You.... will.... protect me?" Though Antiope was clearly the more petite in stature, she couldn't help but snicker a bit at the thought. She was a self-described master of the martial arts. Mintaka was just an amateur at best. If anything, the Mantis senshi knew she'd be the one protecting the Origami Senshi.
Despite her amusement, she allowed her traveling companion to cling to her hand as desperately as she wanted. The skulls were a rather constant decoration to the dirt path, but after a while, the green suited senshi was able to make it less creepy for herself. After all, it was just like Halloween decorations. Just in winter instead.
As they continued forward in their cautious manner, the pathway seemed to widen a bit and the bamboo seemed to grow thicker, making it so there was less light.
"So part of me is now thinking that this place is like a bad horror movie..." she commented idly. "Just... you know... like an Asian horror story instead of the American ones... now we just need to see a ghost or something..."
Considering that Mintaka had seen weird things on her world, it had Antiope vaguely wondering if she would indeed see the ghosts she had just been joking about.

"I will protect you..." Maybe, there was a lot of skulls. If anything, Maybe Mintaka could buy Anti time to get them back to earth, Should anything still living be on the planet. She didn't have anything on hers, but this was her first time to someone else's planet.
"It's getting darker...." She breathed in...."B...B...Oh..." She chuckled nervously as she thought of the old asian movies that had meant to be scary but came off really cheesy.
However, dealing with it here....She was starting to get more and more tense.
"S...so how about we talk about something instead of ghost okay?" She breathed, "Cause...Cause Ghost aren't real now so..like...."

"And magic ain't real either... oh... wait..."
Antiope gave Mintaka a huge grin. Clearly she was trying to instigate something.
However, something else seemed to catch her eyes before she could carry it on further.
"Oh hey!" was all she offered before she dashed forward, absolutely fearless now that she had conquered the skull-shock. Considering she had a Mintaka attached to her arm, it meant the poor girl was somewhat dragged along with her.
Upon the horizon there was a visible structure. However, the closer they got, more and more structures came into view. They were simple huts seemingly built of the same material that was surrounding them. Everything was quiet, which suggested that there was nobody there anymore.
"A village? Neat!"

"Magic...oh yes well I guess that's real.." And so were figments of the past and so were magical talking cats and...
So ghost could be real...but like...
She wanted to believe the worlds only had SO MUCH POWER.
"You...You don't think there really is gh.gho..ghost..ghost......" Mintaka's white hair flipped back and forth as she checked the surroundings for the third time in there little walk.
"What! Did you see a ghost!?!?!?" Mintaka jumped and then was being pulled forward while desperately trying to get away! "Noooooo, I don't want to see the ghost, I don't need toooo...."
But instead of ghost, it was village, simpler in design but no less sturdy. The quietness of the surrounding was almost very eerie, and almost peaceful. A big difference from the outlining skulls.
"We...should um...check it out?"

The subject and potential for ghosts seemed to go absolutely forgotten as the pair approached. However once they got to the entrance from their dirt path into the village, Antiope came to an abrupt stop.
"Of course we check it out! It isn't every day we get a free pass to do this sort of thing, right?"
Still firmly holding onto her companion's hand, the little Mantis senshi marched into the first hut immediately beside them.
There was an opening for the door, but no windows. Whoever had lived here did not have very many possessions. There was a small bamboo table, and what seemed like a ratty futon to the side. There was a hole that was dug into the dirt for what could be assumed to be a fire pit, since the ancient remains of ash had settled into the hole.
Finally releasing her hold of the Origami senshi's hand, the smaller of the pair marched further in, then settled herself down, legs crossed as she sat. There was a seemingly serious expression upon her face, as if she was trying to concentrate on something.

Mintaka watched as Antiope dragged them into a hut, took a seat and remained silent.
"Are you uh...meditating?" Mintaka looked around, lacing her hands together. The ground was dirty, but she didn't want to be impolite by just...standing over Anti.
"do...are you like...do you feel something?" Or see something. Maybe she was cleansing the area of ghost?
Or something like that.

Even though the origami senshi had asked a question or two, Antiope still remained quiet for a few more minutes.
To mark the end of her silence, she clapped her hands together as if she was dusting her sleeves off before standing up straight from the sitting position (no hands to aid her efforts).
"Oh, sorry about that! Wasn't meditating... I was just thinking about what life would have been like here... in this hut! It is very different from anything in my current life... so... just contemplating the possibilities is all!"
Meandering to the hole meant to serve as an exit to the crude structure, she commented as she gestured with a sleeve to the rest "...I doubt that any of these other ones will be much different... simple life style and all!"
Turning back to Mintaka, the Mantis senshi mentioned "Maybe we can go back... unless you want to stick around and legitimately find out if there are spirits lurking about here?"

"NO" Mintaka immediately announced after Anti's question, "No I don't need to find spirits."
Mintaka breathed in, "I've heard...I've heard the more you visit here, the more likely you'll remember things from the past." She paused and looked around.
"Maybe if you visit here more, and maybe without me, you'll gain more insight." She clapped her hands, "But till then, uhm...thank you for taking me here..." She paused as she headed to the door. Her head turning to Anti.
"I don't feel threatened by your planet...just so you know. It feels almost...familiar. But maybe its cause it's like mine." She laughed, waving the feels off. Maybe that was how space travel was?

Mintaka's words were too philosophical for Antiope's poor brain to bother with.
Which left for a good amount of silence that got awkward at about the minute mark.
"So... um... how do I go back now?"
Antiope still had a lot to learn it seemed.

"Oh! Same way we came. Focus on the sound of earth and press the middle button." Mintaka nodded as she came to next to Antiope.
"Um we might land in the same place or we might not so don't be surprised and um...you'll have to wait awhile to visit here again. It takes a lot of power and magic to do so." Mintaka nodded and then waited.
"Okay, ready when you are."

A long, drawn out "Oooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" was the small girl's reaction to the explanation.
In a similar manner to how she had before, she clapped her hands together and seemed to do as instructed. This time it only took 2 minutes for her to figure it out, and soon enough, the pair had vanished.
Perhaps they'd visit again. And perhaps there would be ghosts.
Maybe.
