To the library... she'd remember that she thought, looking momentarily determined. The cool night air of Chittentown hit her with her own shudder when Stryke opened the door for her, but she wasted little time in stepping out. Between delicate fingers she clutched the note she'd received like a special prize, peeking down at it for a moment. It felt like a true test of friendliness, giving out this kind of information, and she promised she'd write so he'd have her address, too. The thought of having someone to write to... it was such a nice one. She could only hope for privacy from her lusus. Would the overbearing guardian try to read her mail before she had a chance to get to it? No, no, she shook her head, she didn't want to think about it right now.

"T-Thank you, Stryke," she mumbled, not quite looking at him as they grew ever closer to where they'd run into each other (literally) earlier. There were a lot of reasons to be thankful, she couldn't name just one, but- "Um, for coming with me... thank you." When she looked up from the paper this time, she could see her, standing tall over a majority of the crowd. Guineamom. Nahori winced internally.

Tucking the note away in her top, she turned to face him. "L-Like that," she was pointing, looking a little upset, "that's her, um, over there..." It was obvious from the way trolls began to sidestep that her lusus was moving towards them. A shrill wheek pierced the otherwise loud, but consistent murmur of the market. "S-S-She s-sounds kinda mad..."

The urge to duck behind her companion was strong, but Nahori resisted, because that would only get her further in trouble. She could only hope Guineamom would quickly notice the color of Stryke's blood and phase right out of lecture-mode before the worst began. It was embarrassing enough without being belittled in front of him, not that he could understand exactly what went on between them, but her mother's body language would surely be more than enough.

And of course, as expected, the large lusus barreled right over to them, eyes wide with a great agitated restlessness. Her mouth moved as if she meant to make noise, but nothing came out as she swiveled her head to and fro, looking Nahori over. Then her eyes fell to the other troll present, a yellowblood, and she stopped moving suddenly, frozen in thought. The next instant she'd straightened and stopped looking so crazed. Oh, she hoped she hadn't looked foolish in front of this higherblood.

Nahori saw the visible change and immediately let out a heavy, relieved sigh.

Stryke listened to the other, shaking his head softly when the other troll had thanked him. "no need to thank me, i didn't want you to get lossst in town." The yellowblood replied with a quick nod of confirmation to relieve her concerns, or he hoped anyway. He walked along the sandy roads beside her, an easy going feeling overcoming the young troll. She was good company, he wanted to make sure she got home safely. Having someone while not associated with he rebels was nice..he'd make sure to keep her away from that side of his business. He didn't want her to get hurt somehow, it was also why he now walked with her to see the other troll to her guardian.

The shrill noise received a small cringe, the short troll nearly jumped in place but managed to keep himself from embarrassing himself."just stay calm..even if she’s mad hopefully it’ll pass for now." He murmured to her as he took a step forward acting as a shield between them…although it was all visually he wouldn't actually keep the lusus from his troll. There was an urge to be a shield, and act as a defensive to those less fortunate than him. Nahori made him feel protective, although he wasn't entirely sure why. Surely her lusus wouldn't be too angry?

Just like that, things seemed to even out much to his relief. Stryke felt his shoulders relax.

Waiting for the creature to settle down, Stryke bowed his head respectfully. "i don't know if you understand me..but i wanted to return your troll to you misss! all is well." His easy going tone never wavered, unflinching at the larger beasts presence, merely trying to address the situation properly and keep the heat off his now, new friend Nahori. After a bit of time he glance back at her, then to her lusus.

"it's easy to get lost in the crowd, its rather busy around the market at this time of day." Stryke explained as if to further enhance the whole explanation for the situation, and appease any lingering grumpiness. He was use to his lusus in days past fussing him for no apparent reason. It always sucked. So to see that not being the case, was refreshing. "hopefully you two make it out of town safely, everything's back in order thanks to sometrolls who investigated." Stryke concluded as he crossed his arms over his chest loosely.

All in all, he was just glad both had found one another. While the time he’d spent had been brief with her, at least there was a chance they’d meet again. He’d wait to head back until after their parting words were exchanged.

Guineamom was never very adept at understanding other trolls, especially those with guardians of species so far removed from hers. It looked like she was trying, her large head slowly drifting to the side, her flat ears trembling. Nahori could tell she wasn't getting it, though, nothing beyond the general idea that Stryke was calm and respectful and if he, as a higherblood, decided to act that way, well... Guineamom could do nothing but the same.

She wouldn't go as far as to explain ever little thing he'd said. It wouldn't be the same hearing it from her lips, not really, but she'd translate some, just enough to hopefully soothe her mother enough that even once they were alone, she'd keep her scolding to a minimum. If Nahori was lucky, there might not be any at all. One could hope...

"M-Mother, this is Stryke... He h-helped me, um, when I was lost. H-He's very kind..." Guineamom made a small sound of acknowledgement, then a sharper one, and Nahori was quick to add, "Y-Yes! I thanked him. I-I did, of course, of course. O-Oh, he also mentioned t-that e-everything seems to, um, have been s-settled in C-Chittentown."

There was a short stint of silence as Guineamom considered this. Ah, her eyes looked satisfied! Nahori breathed a short sigh of relief. Bowing her large head to Stryke, the great guinea pig turned and began to amble away, wheeking for her charge to follow.

Now it was really happening, she was truly being forced to say goodbye to her new friend. They hadn't known each other long, but Nahori felt such ease with him. Please, she begged no one in particular, let us see each other again somenight.

"W-Well..." she bubbled, clasping her hands in front of her as she turned to face him one more time. "I... I had a really nice t-time. Thank you." Her eyes were soft as she started to turn away, too. "I-I'll write soon. Goodbye, Stryke!" With an eager little wave, she ran off after her lusus.

The nature of their exchange was beyond him, he couldn't grasp it even if he tried. It was enough at least to convey the message and satisfy the lusus's inquiry anyway. Stryke watched and listened to the exchange however to try and pick up what little he could. It wasn't much of course, but at least Nahori translated for him.The lowerblood creature took in the news, and all too soon was ready to move on.

Smiling sadly he crossed his arms over his chest his head nod rustling his long tied back hair. ah. Goodbyes were always problematic, and left him standing in place as she parted rushing after her lusus. Stryke smiled, despite his reluctance to part ways. "it wasss, thank you as well." The other replied. He raised his hand to wave goodbye, and frowned.

He lowered his hand. "i look forward to it. travel safe!" Stryke called after the pair. Before long he could barely make them out anymore.

Taking a step back he decided to head back to his hive. He took a moment to look back over his shoulder, wondering if she really would write or not. time would tell. Although he had a good feeling that she would be true to her word he had no way of knowing of course. Stryke moved away then, heading back to his hive and locking the door behind him. It wasn't how he'd expected his evening to start out, but it wasn't bad by any means he reasoned.
