Laney listened gratefully as Finn offered to keep an eye out for Titan for her, and with bright interest as he described his new device and what it did. She offered her opinion that whatever it was, his device sounded incredibly useful, and might hopefully persuade some Negaverse agents to reconsider what they wanted to fight for. It was always better, in some ways, talking shop. The two of them had met as knights, and Laney was pretty sure people liked her better as one. She felt more comfortable.

Laney promised to send interested Negaverse agents in Babylon's direction, and was glad for this new avenue. It certainly gave her another possible angle of approach, another convincing point for her arguments.

"You're the best company I've had all day. Stay as long as you like," she said: and meant it. "The Young and the Restless is just coming on, and you're the only thing standing between me and becoming one of those people who has to watch their Stories. There should be some playing cards in the top drawer."
