She was keeping back, Oliver's next swing merely clipped her. Which wasn't good, because bullets did damage no matter how far away he was. Rank aside, Claude had the advantage with the long range weapon, and the confidence to handle it. If Oliver stopped to think about how vulnerable he really was, the calm would start to crack, and his legs would surely turn to jello. With his overactive imagination, any thought at all would break him faster than Claude's bullets. HP: 17 / 50 DMG: 1 Lucyal She is certainly holding her own in this fight though! XD

It was something of a relief to only get clipped by the weapon, but she knew it was short lived. She was just waiting for him to deliver one more powerful strike that'd finish off her shield. Until then, she'd hang in there. Claude kept on the move, but her next shot only managed to graze him. HP: 5 / 40 DMG: 2Grey Dragon I am pretty impressed fwefjwklew I was like, for sure, Oliver is going to destroy her fjkjefl

There was another click, and suddenly it was the downwards swing of an axe Claude had to contend with. Oliver was having a hard time staying close enough, this time the blade barely whistled past, and struck the ground hard enough to embed itself into the hard-packed dirt. He pulled it out with a firm tug. Whatever views he held of himself, and however he appeared to others in his usual anxiously stammering state, the boy was physically stronger than he gave himself credit for. HP: 15 / 50 DMG: 2 Lucyal This is OLIVER here, he's only ever won a single match so far. XD

The weapon changed again, and Claude wasn't sure which she preferred. Both were equally troublesome, for different reasons. She supposed the axe may have been more favorable for a fighter like her though. She got clipped, stumbling a bit again as she fired a shot that, once again, missed. HP: 3 / 40 DMG: 0Grey Dragon fkjwkjlfelw NOOOO POOR OLIVER!

Oliver took advantage of Claude's wild aim, and thus the decreased chance of being shot point blank in the face by getting too close. He lunged forward, bringing the massive axe around in a wide, back-handed arc. This time it was no near miss, he was too close to dodge, or even stumble away from. He felt the swing connect hard, and leaped back in a ready stance. HP: 15 / 50 DMG: 13 Lucyal AAAH WHAT ARE YOU DOING OLIVER thank goodness for training field capping at 0 HP. @_@;;;;

The axe was definitely worse. That's the solid conclusion Claude came to as it landed a solid hit on her. It threw her side ways, and she skidded on the ground, her shield shattering. She lay there for a moment, and let out a soft breathless chuckle, thinking about how she liked to get acquainted with the ground now too, like Chance. Thank ******** for that barrier, but Claude didn't doubt she'd have a nice bruise from that one, and a sore side. She desummoned her pistol, and pushed herself back up to her feet. Claude brushed off her coat, and then turned to Oliver and moved back his way, raising a hand to say it's done. "Thanks." She uttered in earnest. Oliver had never seen someone go down quite so dramatically, but once he realized she was beat he de-summoned the giant axe and darted over to her side. "A-are you okay? I d-didn't mean- I-I'm so sorry!" He stammered as she got to her feet, hovering around at her side like a nervous humming bird. But she got up fine, on her own and without any help. The boy shouldn't have worried about her health. Maybe he should have worried about her pride, or maybe even his own a** the next time she challenged him. Yet when she thanked him, all Oliver could do was stare with confused concern. Did she hit her head when she went down? Lucyal ALL OF TWO WINS YAY OLIVER

"Yeah. I'm fine." Claude replied as if it was obvious, and quirked a brow at the kid who seemed on the verge of a panic attack at her condition. "It's a spar. That happens." She rest one hand on her hip and tilted her head at him. "What?" He was looking at her funny. Grey Dragon YAY OLIVER! WEAR THEM PROUDLY!

Oliver shook his head and averted his eyes. "N-nothing," he said timidly. So long as she was fine. Maybe what she had meant to say was something snarky about his age, and it just came out as a thanks by accident. One more glance was timidly turned her way, and she seemed just as fine as his last look. Finally the kid relaxed slightly. "Um... s-sorry..."

Claude's brow disappeared into her bangs. This kid seemed like a walking ball of anxiety. She wondered how he could still be like that after being here for a year. She also thought it'd...well...beat it out of him. On the other hand though, she did find it pleasant, and nice, that there still seemed to be some...well...considerate people who hadn't been jaded by the island. From what she was gathering so far. "What are you apologizing for?"

"Uh..." What was he apologizing for? "Knocking y-you over?" He stammered, looking up at her like a puppy who expected a kick. Rather than having the nerves beaten and bullied out of him, the life-threatening seriousness of life on the island had only prevented him from growing out of his fears. He grappled with too many emotions to go numb, much like a river flowing too fast to ice over during the winter. He might have been permanently high-strung, but at least his timidness had endeared him to some people who would help him out now and again.

Claude stared, and stared, and stared at him. "That's stupid." She finally said, her tone, as always, even and bordering on flat. "Do you know what 'sorry' means?" She asked, no hint of mockery. "It means you'll never do it again." She smirked, briefly, before her expression resumed being impassive. "I'm going to ask you for another spar I'm certain, and I don't doubt you'll knock me over again. So don't apologize for it."

"O-oh. Sorry..." The boy just blinked nervously. It was impossible to tell a Canadian what 'sorry' meant, short of reaffirming it was something to be said any time a regrettable situation had occurred. But then she smiled, and it was a sort of smile that reminded him of Finn's cocky attitude. In turn, Oliver was able to smile weakly in turn. "I-I don't know, you have really good aim. I might not be so lucky next time."

Claude gave an incredulous snort. "It's only luck on my end right now." She said in earnest, and then raised a hand once more to indicate this was where they'd part for now. "See ya." Grey Dragon THANK YOU FOR RP GREY! LET'S DO IT AGAIN SOON AND FEEL FREE TO HIT ME UP ANYTIME! /GRABBY HANDS <333
