With the youma dusted, Palatine had no further thoughts as to its fate. She reacted as she would have with any youma dusting, putting it behind her and moving on to the next course of action. The longer they spent mourning or caving to guilt, the more likely it was that the rest of their comrades would be disposed of in some way before they even got to them.

The funhouse loomed in front of them. Palatine entered before she considered her surroundings. Her mind was preoccupied, not with what lay behind them but with what lay ahead of him and who she hoped to free. She sped in and spared not a moment to look around, heading straight into the rolling tunnel.

In her negligence, she ended up tripping not even a step in. She fell gracelessly, her pride saved only in the knowledge that there were others that faired no better.

Once the youma was dusted, Sailor Chibi Perdita put all of her attention into navigating the funhouse. She doubted the Negaverse would make it easy. Perdita half expected to be ambushed as soon as they made it inside.

She paused before the rolling tunnel entrance, watching as others tripped up and stumbled. Navigating it would not be too terribly difficult provided she paid attention to what she was doing. That she took a moment to observe it and prepare herself for the motion helped. She knew better what to expect than if she'd gone charging right in without a second thought.

“Come on, this way,” she said to Oberon. “Be careful in the tunnel.”

That went without saying. Perdita headed in and successfully made it to the other side without taking a tumble.

Though Lucasta meant to save all of the captives if possible, a majority of her thoughts rested with only one. She looked forward to the moment in which they would finally meet. What would be it be like? Would Ganymede know her? What condition was she in? Perhaps she wouldn't even be conscious.

Lucasta knew she wasn't dead. It was, of course, very likely that she was injured; Lucasta expected Ganymede was injured severely. But she was not dead. Lucasta was sure she would have known if that was the case. Wouldn't she have felt it somehow?

She entered the funhouse behind some of the others but paid them no mind, dashing through without taking a moment to observe her surroundings, with the result that she tripped within the rolling tunnel. She hissed in frustration (and, if she were honest, a mild burst of fear). Attempting to right herself after falling was no easy task, but Lucasta managed it.

She exited the tunnel and gave it a departing glare over her shoulder.

Cybele stared at the spot where the youma had finally been killed. Tears threatened, disgust turned her stomach, and she glanced at the funhouse, not looking forward to what she was going to find there. Then, she let the rock she had been holding fall from her fingers and sprinted after the others, wiping her eyes furiously and doing her best to push her emotion deep inside of herself. She'd deal with it later. Even a moment's hesitation today could cost someone their life... their soul.

This is going to be one of those days, isn't it? she thought as she watched the people in front of her go into the funhouse, a colorful place oddly reminiscent of the carnival where she'd first seen the true colors of true colors of the Negaverse. She couldn't feel any auras coming off of it, and that just made it more intimidating. She wouldn't know if anyone was coming for her... or if anyone was even left to be rescued. One of the days where everything's horrible and there's nothing I can do... just things I should have done and didn't. Still, she would go. Still, if there's even a chance I can save them...

Her heroic resolution was cut somewhat short as she tripped over the spinning wheel entrance, landing painfully on her hands and knees. Gritting her teeth, she sprinted after the others.

Chariklo: 50HP - 5 damage from falling = 45HP

Chariklo might have been sad to have missed out on being in the group who'd reached the fairgrounds first. But, given some of what she'd heard when she arrived, she wasn't at all sad to have missed the monster who'd been let loose to guard the fairgrounds. Shuddering, the tall blonde made her way into the funhouse. Her friends were in here somewhere, they had to be.

In fact, she was sure she'd seen Ida as she'd run in and Chariklo was desperate to get to the Transcended senshi and stick to her side like glue. But first...

How hard could it be to get through a stupid funhouse? She'd always aced those things when she was little. Skidding to a halt at the entrance tot he rolling tunnel, Chariklo grimaced and set out at a brisk walk. Only to stumble halfway through and be sent tumbling and rolling and spat out the other side.

Well. This was going to be annoying.

Chariklo: 45HP - 0 damage = 45HP

After picking herself up, Chariklo paused only long enough to assess damages and was relieved that bruised and scraped up as she was, it was nothing major. She wasn't a liability. With luck, things would stay that way. Wobbling a little as she ran, Chariklo decided that if the funhouse was actually up and running, she was going to have to be a little more careful.

Which meant skidding to another stop when she saw the sliding tiles. This one she couldn't just bull her way through. Taking a few precious moments to watch the way the tiles slid, she finally stepped carefully out onto the first and stood there a moment. Once she was sure of her balance and the tiles, she hopped across those remaining and heaved a sigh of relief once her feet were on firm ground again.

Now to find a certain lady...

"Ida?" she called out.

When the New Year party had devolved into literal Chaos, Subamara had been more concerned with collecting her little cousin than watching what was happening to her more experienced allies. She'd noticed that the Negaverse agents weren't going after the fleeing civilians, but hadn't thought to examine what they were doing instead, not until she received the messages from 'Ash', a name she vaguely recognised as a guardian from documents she'd read.

She was an able body, and the message had called for everyone. She didn't think it through any further than that. She made it the fairgrounds late and winded, unsure of what she could do to help, but certain that being present was more use than not being there.

It was clear enough where the entrance was from the cluster of powered auras, the wafts of dust that presumably indicated a recently removed youma, and the beribboned figures rushing through the tunnel entrance.

Subamara wasted no time, leaping straight in without stopping to consider the mechanism of the fairground device, or just how fast it was rotating. She toppled in an ungainly heap against the turning tunnel wall barely three steps in, only her long boots saving her ankle from a nasty twist. It was with more care that she got back to her knees to follow after the rest, but she refused to slow down.

She was going to pay more attention this time, Palatine told herself. She couldn't afford to delay. Every second spent tripping over her own feet in this place was another second the Negaverse could use to their advantage. What if they moved the prisoners to another location? What if they decided to dispose of them entirely?

That was not an option Palatine felt like allowing them. After righting herself once she was free of the rolling tunnel, she looked around for whatever obstacle might disrupt her path next.

Only she didn't look at the ground.

Suddenly the floor was moving beneath her. Palatine thrust out her arms wildly in an attempt to keep her balance. Unfortunately, she didn't react soon enough. She stumbled again and fell flat on her ********>

Perdita was so proud of herself for getting through the rolling tunnel without issues, and so distracted by bragging about how graceful she was to Oberon, that she didn't notice the sliding tiles that suddenly appeared beneath her feet.

She went down with a flurry of gingham skirt and flailing limbs. It was not a graceful picture at all. Perdita winced and pushed herself up. She was so embarrassed she felt the hot sting of tears in her eyes, but she refused to let them fall. There was no way she was going to let Oberon see that. Instead, she wiped a hand over her face like she was trying to ease some of the pain from the fall, catching the tears on her glove before they became noticeable.

“Careful for the floor,” she warned her companion.

Perdita climbed back onto her feet and dusted off her fuku.

While the fate of the strange youma was unfortunate, there wasn't much else he could think to do besides pushing forward. What if they had all been turned into youma? What if they ended up having to fight and kill Ganymede or Valhalla...? Or any of their other friends or family?

He realized he was distracted, but pouted when Perdita told him to be careful. "I know how to get through a tunnel," he huffed, not seeing what the big deal was, aside from everyone rushing to get through. He would just take it slow and it wouldn't be an issue.

Naturally he had to eat his words as, even with being careful, he ended up slipping and falling. Oberon let out a groan as he landed on his butt, grumbling and pushing himself up to follow after Perdita. "Yeah yeah," he grumbled, trying not to be annoyed that she was rubbing it into his face that she had no problem with getting through.

Of course when it came to the sliding floors, Perdita wasn't as graceful and fell. Oberon frowned in concern, jumping forward to try and help her up, managing to slip and fall again as well. "Are you okay?" he winced, checking out the scrape on his elbow. Even though it hurt, he reminded himself it could have been a lot worse. "Hold my hand for the next area," he offered, reaching out for her own hand.

There wasn’t time to waste. Sessrumnir could feel the large gathering of auras and followed. It seemed as though someone figured out where everyone was being held. He still cursed Benitoite for not telling him more information, but at least he felt prepared enough for what he expected he would find.

He got through the tunnel just fine, but stumbled on the moving floors. He wasn’t the only one, noting that everyone was trying to get through to the other captives. While he wanted to help out the others, he was still set on finding Valhalla, or even Ganymede. Hopefully Pasiphae was not caught up in this mess. He didn’t know what he’d do if she had been hurt.

“You okay?” he called to Palatine, before catching a glimpse of Metis as well. “Any idea where to go next?” he asked, holding up the bolt cutters he carried with him. After all, he was familiar with imprisonment methods and torture.

Lucasta was not about to let herself be tripped up again. After exiting the rolling tunnel she took a moment to get her bearings and take in her surroundings. Being so low to the ground, she noticed the moving floor tiles immediately and hopped right over them with hardly an effort, landing beyond them none the worse for wear. She turned her nose up as the silly humans tripped and flailed about, and continued on her way without offering any assistance, any encouragement, or any warning.

They'd figure it out for themselves. She had a mission to complete and couldn't waste her time on useless fools.

Out the other side of the two obstacles left two choices, essentially left or right to check the rooms there. Ida knew there must be more people further in, but if there were people here, she couldn't just walk past them. The rescue had to start somewhere.

"I'm going this way!" Ida called to her team mates as she waved her glowing arm at one of the doors. "Can you guys check the other? Call if you need help."

Making towards the door, the sound of her naming being called pulled her up short and Ida turned towards the familiar voice.

"Chariklo!" Ida called as she waved an arm. Warmth filled her at the sight of the Dark Mirror Eternal and an easing of tension. Next to her team, Chari was a trustworthy person to have at her side in a fight. "Over here! There's someone inside."

Turning back, Ida pushed through to find a red-haired girl in a frilly blue fuku, her eyes sweeping the room to take in their surroundings before settling to mentally check the girl's health before she rushed in.
