The woman gave a nod of her head, "That's some good advice, there is plenty for you to learn from my son even if you can only do so by watching instead of asking him. Give him some time and maybe he will be more open to the idea of allowing you to train with him, maybe?" She glanced over at her son, giving him a curious looking, as though looking for an answer from him.
Saraf glanced over at her, down at Issaly, then away, "Perhaps." It seemed as though saying something as nice as that was a bit difficult for him. He didn't want to be as nice as that to a Shifter but his mother seemed to be quite eager to get him to take the kid under his wing. Why he'd do that he wasn't sure, but at least the kid didn't seem as grating as those Shifters from the North. Perhaps he could be made useful through training? To be somehow useful to the family... but not in the manner of a slave, of course. Those weren't allowed anymore so in another way? He wondered if that was what his mother was getting at? Hard to say with her, it might be something deep like that or she might just want Saraf to entertain the kid. Only time would tell really.
Shaking his head he asked, "So, will the messenger be returning soon with news on his brother?" He wasn't sure what he thought about the whole idea, of yet another one ending up here, but he supposed that it was up to his mother in the end. Sighing he was quick to add, "Either way I'd rather he not come here until whatever illness he has passes, maybe have him stay with the healer until then?"
The woman gave a nod, "We will see once the messenger returns, both if the boy is still there, how sick he is, that sort of thing." She told him, giving her son a smile before looking down at Issaly, "You will be the first to know once the messenger arrives."
