Maybe Ganymede meant to be encouraging, but all Amphitrite could remember was the battle at the beach. Especially in that lull between battles, when Amphitrite had been sitting there getting treatment for her arm and the brothers had their way (verbally) with Ganymede. For the first time, she realized there was really no standard of ethics between senshi. There didn't seem to be much of anything tying them together at all outside of their determination to stop the negaverse from messing up the planet.
It wasn't like it rattled her to the core or anything, but - it made her feel weird, uneasy or something. Ganymede said it like it was a good thing, so maybe it was, but - "Oh! Ghost queen, you mentioned something about ghosties or something when we were on the moon, right?" she asked, eager to take her mind off the whole lack-of-centralized-leadership thing. "That's pretty cool. Have you seen her before?" It felt like Ganymede probably knew everyone!
(And Thraen was totally right, but she just decided to let that one slide because oh god she'd just called him Throbbing Thorax, please forgive her flowery blond model man.)

“Yeah, I've seen her before,” Ganymede said.
She didn't sound thrilled at all by that fact. She wasn't. Although she supposed she would have rather seen the Moon Queen than not seen her at all. At least she knew for a fact that the Moon Queen existed in some capacity, unlike some people who simply heard of her and worshipped her in their hearts without knowing.
“There was a meeting a couple of years ago, much bigger than the Black Watch one up on the moon. The Negaverse and the Dark Mirror Court attacked and the Moon Queen brought us to the moon. A lot of us saw here then. We've been able to go to the moon ever since,” she explained.
“Then I saw her again not that long ago. I was just visiting. Didn't really expect to see her. She didn't say anything to me,” Ganymede continued, shrugging her shoulders, “just kind of stood there and smiled. It was creepy.”

"You've seen so much... " Amphitrite breathed out loud, aware not for the first time of how much history she had no knowledge or part of. But she loved hearing about it. It made her feel closer what the senshi were about, somehow. Like fitting together pieces of a puzzle.
Still, though, twice. "She must favor you, " the words slipped out without real thought, but Amphitrite didn't really regret them. No matter how distinctly not thrilled Ganymede sounded, Amphitrite hadn't heard of any sightings of the Moon Queen from anyone else. Ganymede had two, and for one, it sounded like she'd been alone. "I mean, if she made the effort to see you again. - do you think she's watching over you? Maybe she's proud?"

Ganymede laughed again, but it was a quiet thing.
“I doubt she'd favor me of all people,” she said. “I've never given her any reason to. There're other Senshi out there who are far more worthy. You would probably be more worthy than me. I don't know why I've seen her twice now.
“I don't know that she's watching over me. I mean, why me and not anyone else? Proud, maybe. Who knows with her. I haven't really done anything for her to be proud about. I've not been her biggest supporter, actually. I don't know, maybe she likes that. Or maybe she was just lonely. Being a ghost must not be much fun.
“Anyway,” Ganymede said, growing a little uncomfortable by the conversation if only because it made her think—why had the Moon Queen decided to show her face to her? “It's getting late. We shouldn't stay out for much longer or else we'll attract attention.”

"Well... I don't know a lot, " that was a given. But not the point. Amphitrite gave a quick shrug and a half-smile. "But you impressed me. So I don't think it would be crazy if you impressed her a little, too."
That's true, though. They couldn't just stand here and talk so long all night. Ganymede probably had better things to do anyway, and here Amphitrite was going on and on with all these questions. "Sorry, " she murmured with a slight flush to her cheeks. "Thanks, though. I mean, for talking to me about all this stuff. Things have been sort of..." she trailed off, remembering that she didn't want to sit there going on about her problems. Especially now. It was just plain rude.
"I really should go." What time was it, even? The last thing she needed was for her dad to wake up and realize she wasn't there. "But I hope I see you again soon. - tell the Moon Queen I said hi next time, okay?" She cracked a playful smile (just in case Ganymede couldn't tell she was kidding) before she turned to leave.
Then paused, thinking of it as she turned back to add, "Wait, you and Valhalla are -- seriously, can you tell him I say hi? I don't even know if he remembers me like, at all, but like, I haven't seen him at all since the Black Watch thing and he was so nice."

“You don't have to apologize,” Ganymede reassured her. “We both lost track of the time. You're welcome, though. Seriously, if you ever need anything, don't be afraid to contact me. Even if you just want someone to walk around and chat with.”
She laughed quietly at the Moon Queen joke. “Maybe next time she'll be showing herself to you instead,” she said.
Ganymede watched as Amphitrite turned to leave, staying where she was for the moment to make sure the other Senshi got on her way alright. She was still standing there when Amphitrite turned back. She smiled at the other Senshi's request.
“Of course,” she said. It was simple enough to do. “Have a good rest of your night, and be careful, okay?”

The hopeful smile that Amphitrite flashed Ganymede in that moment said more than she'd wanted to about her offer to talk. "Thank you, " and then she just laughed, waving the eternal senshi off. As if the Moon Queen would want anything to do with her, really.
"I will!" Amphitrite flashed Ganymede a warm smile and an enthusiastic wave as she backed away. "You too! I'll see you soon, I hope!" Then, she turned for good and made her way back for home; the smile stuck persistently on her face the whole way.
