        Ataya
Location: Just outside the Ruins of Nordanar.
        Class/Clan: Hybrid Aiskala Mage (Adept - 14yrs)
Activity: Declaring war. Initiating snowball fight with sister.
        Interacting With: Akara

Ataya eyed it. “It could…if you could keep a grip.” At her uncertainty, however, he shrugged and stood, glancing to the surrounding area and then grinning. “I doubt Mother would let us get far, though, so for now…” He shifted pulling off the gloves on his fingers — unnecessary, anyway: he wasn’t cold — and splaying his hands out before gathering up a white swirl of spiraling magic. Seconds later, he held a single, large, perfect snowball in his palm. “Want to play a game?”

Before giving his sister a proper chance to respond, he lodged it, letting it lift to hover over her head for a fraction of a moment and then dropping to disperse in her hair as he fled the scene — at least, as far as he could make it away before she took her inevitable revenge.

        Akara & Lyari
Location: Just outside the Ruins of Nordanar.
        Class/Clan: Hybrid peisio archer (Adept - 14yrs)
Activity: Kara - chasing after her brother. Lyari - knocking said brother into snow drift
        Interacting With: Ataya

“Heeeey!” Kara whined as she shook her head and brushed at her hair, dislodging the snow from her curls. “Not fair,” she said as she scooped up some snow and took off after Ataya. As soon as the snowball was formed, she threw, trying her best to aim at Ata.

At the same time, Lyari came flying past her, chirruping loudly and attention focused on the ball of snow. In his distraction Lyari didn’t notice that Ataya was right in the path of him getting to the ball like thing Kara had thrown. Instead, he kept going, oblivious until he made contact with Ata and stumbled over his own feet, throwing them both into a snow drift.

Kara giggled, stopping in her tracks as she watched the scene unfold. As Lyari popped out of the snow and chirruped confusedly, Kara shook her head. “Are you two alright?” Kara asked as she moved over to help her brother out of the snow.

Name: Rain
Apprentice Dovaa
Location: Just outside the Misty Inn
Interacting with: Shenra and anybody who wants to join in xD

It was bitterly cold. The wind nipped at Rain’s face and long ears as the dovaa boy made his way through the grassy planes toward what he hoped was the location of the The Misty Inn. He tried to get his hood over his head, but his horns made it rather difficult. He grumbled irritably under his breath that he should have taken the time to cut holes in the hood before hand. But it hadn’t been as windy earlier, he told himself.

As he walked along he tried his best not to trample the pretty wildflowers that he found growing at the top of the plateau. A chilling breeze caused Rain to nearly topple over though, if it weren’t for his glaive that he was using as a walking stick. He had brought the weapon just in case. He knew there were all sorts of creatures living out there in the wild. He hung onto it and leaned into the wind and marched onward. Though every once in awhile he found himself standing still, and staring at the beauty around him. After all, that was part of the reason he had left in the first place; to explore. He would stop walking and gaze for a time at the trees and sky. He hadn’t been away from home very long and he was full of excitement. It was so easy for him to get distracted.

Finally, in the distance, he could see a series of buildings built on the cliff-sides. Rickety-looking bridges lead from one to the other and swayed in the wind. It didn’t look at all safe. Suddenly Rain was having second thoughts. Was this the right place? Was he ready for this? Maybe he would just take a look around and then head back to someplace slightly safer. If anything maybe he would find a place to camp out.

Shenra and her father, Mirika
Location: The Misty Inn
Class: 8yrs old Orderite engineer/tinker, NPC Orderite tutor/scholar
Activity: In the common room of the inn after lunch.

Shenra scooted closer to her Pa, trying to get some warmth from something. The pitiful fire in the common room didn't offer much. Her father, who didn't like the looks of the inn when he first saw it, placed an arm over her sholder and tucked her close to him. Shenra snuggled close to him. She felt safer the more closer she was.

"I'm sorry my love." he said kissing her head, "If I had known how bad it was, I would have brought our camping gear." He smiled down at her though his glasses, "But it's fine for the few nights we will be here."

He quickly prayed to Seren that whatever did hold the inn up kept doing so till they left.

Shenra however was wanting to explore outside the inn a bit before bed. It had looked interesting outside... Even the cliff the inn was built on was very interesting despite how high up they were.

"Can I go out for a bit?" Shenra said perking up her ears, "I wanna see some of the area."

Her father looked at her for a bit then smiled placing his hand on her head.

"Stay close to the inn, there are hidden cliffs out there my love."

Malta
Class: Ysali Orakovan Alchemist
Location: Ruins of Nordaran – Merchant Stall
Activity: Waiting
Interacting with: Detraeus, her Giogimar Siksyl'Gra

Malta hadn't given up on looking, even though it was cold, even though the chill had even bitten through her 'cloak' – a fur cape that Siksyl'gra had sewn for her since she had insisted on the trip – and into her flesh.

“Your lesser friend is not coming.” commented the Giogimar. Siksyl had long since stopped being amused by his khehora's antics, “He has abandoned you. Come. Let us search the ruins.”

“No, he said he'd be around here...” Malta stood up on her now-aching hind legs again and peered out over the snowy place, with its temporary encampments and strange formations.

“He lied. Or he died. Either way, he is not coming...” The feline began to groom, and then, remembering the frosty air, stopped, annoyed. “My fur freezes here. If you insist on continuing to seek him, that is your wont. I will go inside and wait for your folly to end.” He stood up and stretched, turning to the merchant's tent to seek its warmth, where his saliva would not freeze on his fur.

“Oh! Oh! Wait, Siksyl'gra, wait! I think I see him!” Malta chirped, squinting at the familiar – she hoped – Oblivionite approaching the merchant's tents. She flapped her wings in greeting, her cloak fluttering with the motion. “Detraeus!” she called out, “Hey! Hi!” Her hindlegs tired and she fell back onto her forelegs, her tail wiggling with hopeful anticipation.

“I guess we'll find out!” said Keke, excitedly, peering into the forest before observing one of their pawprints. “Wow, they're big... cages are out then. Food though...” he thought, “We could lure it with food... but maybe we are the food, so that works out.” It wasn't a comforting thought, but Keke didn't need comforting. He needed knowledge. He needed to see these things for himself.

“Well, if you show me how you were doing it, we can build off of that. It's better than telling, after all.” Though, telling was less likely to get them both killed. It was also less fun, and would burn off none of Keke's current store of enthusiastic energy. “If they're on the path, maybe we'll find them again. Lets go... I'd love to at least see one!” he said, ignoring what he had said before about being food themselves. His mind was jumping from idea to idea, so excited was he to be seeing such a beast at all!

He began to trot with Nehelini down the path, sniffing at the new smells of Ayr until the cold bit his nose too hard and he had to rub it, chuffing, against his wing to relieve the numbed soreness of it. “Ahh, it's very cold.” he remarked, “It didn't get this cold back home.” Though it had been cold, and it had snowed, the expanse was in a very warm place and so winter fought, and lost, with it's endless summer.

Nose thus cleared, he turned back to the path and paused; there was a glimmer of blue amid the frosted darkness of the trees. “Is that it?!” he whispered, excitedly, “Is that an Ikri?!”

Nehelini was cautious as he walked out into the path. Halting as he saw what the young Khehora had seen; "Yeah...they range from stark white to a pale blue-gray from what I've seen."

He blinked as he slowly looked down at the young one, "And what do you mean by we could be the food? I'm more of a meal than you, you have claws my friend...I have fists. And barely controlled magic..." he chuckled. Nehelini pulled on the Khehoran's shoulder as he ducked behind a tree, "Move! Its an adult!"

One Adult Ikri passed by them...two Pups trailing after it. Nehelini sent up a prayer and then blinked as he saw a small one, smaller than the one he saw on his first outing.

Keke ducked behind a tree as well, for all the good it did to hide him. If he turned just right, though, his black scales and body matched... somewhat... with the tree. He crouched as the little caravan passed by... little being relative as the adult dwarfed him easily. He watched it move, awed, and hoped that he could get at least a piece of its fur to show to Vazarri. She'd love it, he knew.

And a pup would be perfect for her.

One adult... two pups... and then one, last pup trailing along behind its siblings. Keke tensed. That was it! They were leaving! He couldn't have that. He needed a pup to bring home and who knew when he'd see another!

His butt wriggling on instinct, Keke pounced, grappling the young straggler pup in his forearms and, as he overshot, tumbling with it into the snowy brush and trees beyond...

Nehelini chuckled at the young one's excitement, he kept low and out of sight hoping that the adult wouldn't turn around. He leaned out saw nothing then dashed to the brush where he saw the two fall. He saw the Pup, wide eyed and unmoving as it laid there. Nehelini inhaled slowly, “Keke, don't grip too hard on the poor thing now. Its young and frightened at the moment...so it might...”

The pup kicked out, most likely kicking Keke in the process as it whimpered; “...kick.” he nodded as he straightened. What would they do now? He looked around then back to the dark blue-gray pup. It was magnificent he thought to himself. He didn't get out the makeshift collar. The poor thing was most likely scared enough that the collar would only worsen it. He knelt down looking it over while still in the grasp of the small Khehoran. Nehelini reached out stroking a scaled shoulder before softly stroking a furred leg; “Thank you Keke. What shall we do now?”

Nehelini looked up and around the forest, it was quite. Getting close to dark from what he could see. Meant that the Alpha would be on the hunt for this pup...he sighed. Then looked around again. The snow was still stark white, a fleeting testament to the calm before the storm. He knew if they didn't move the rest of the pack would be on them soon. His eyes narrowed, “Shall we move to a different location?”

He was worried. If they were caught with this Pup, chances were they weren't getting out alive. To say he was scared was an understatement. He was nervous about it all. Standing he looked around giving a kind smile down to the Pup and Keke. He hoped his feeble attempt at comfort worked.

Xenosa glanced around and tucked her cloak closer to her body. Irritation ticked a nerve under her eye as she glanced from one merchant stall to the other. She`d come to the Ruins of Nordaran once she`d heard about the great beasts that had been discovered. They were too powerful for her though, she`d heard the rumors after all but she still wanted to see them. She wasn`t going to risk injury, Aevah had called her for a meeting recently. She didn`t know what it was about but she`d decided these creatures were a good enough reason for her to leave and push the meeting back. A vacation of sorts.

The Orderite spotted a familiar Khehora ahead and lifted up her hood. She couldn`t recall his name properly but she remembered that he`d been there when she`d been trying to tame her Vlidean. She walked by him hoping he would not remember her, if she was trying to get a glance at the creatures she couldn`t have anyone tag along or they`d be a distraction. If she remembered correctly he had been quite the distraction the last time their paths had crossed. He looked older, so was she but she didn`t want to chance it.

Keke winced as the paw hit him in the nose. “Ow!” he exclaimed, but he knew that the dovaa was right. He'd nearly killed an animal by holding to tight before. “Oh, yes. We should move to a different spot.” he said, looking out towards where the mother beastie had gone off to, “She'll notice this one is gone, and then she'll be coming back for him...” he tilted his head, “Right?”

He picked the pup – nearly the size of an Orakoir – up by the scruff of its neck, just like its mother had. It calmed down, kicking only slightly as it, and its pudgy belly, was carried back towards the ruins and the way out of the forest. It was, after all, getting dark and Keke knew better than to be out after dark.

He walked out with the puppy and the dovaa in tow, when a strangely familiar scent made its way past his painful nose and the puppy's musky animal smell. He looked up sharply and watched as an orderite walked past. He turned his head, following her with his bright emerald gaze.

“Hewoo?” he managed through the mouthful of cute puppy. He put the pup on the snow and covered it with a paw, “Hello!” he greeted, “Do I know you?”

Nehelini looked up as the two came out into the open. Hearing Keke speak out to someone the male smiled, “A friend of yours? Don't let me interrupt.” he said as he crouched down, “Keke raise your claw for me? I'm going to hold our little friend here...” he smiled as he picked up the small pup.

Cradling it he sat on the ground, his cloak beneath him as he shifted around his pouches. He pulled out a fair size jerky. Glad when the pup gently ate it, “Well, that's good...here's some biscuits as well...maybe later I can go hunting for some meat for you.” he murmured as he sat there petting it gently. He looked up at Keke's friend, “Hi there.”

Activity: Wondering how she got caught

The Orderite crisped up and stopped her movements as Keke called out to her. Darn it, you simply couldn’t get past a Kheorian nose! She really did need to get one of them, Her Vliedean was useful but a Khehora would be even more useful. Sighing softly she turned towards the pair, briefly looking at what keke had dropped and frowning in the shadows before removing her hood. “Greetings,” dark plum eyes turned to the Dovaa and her lips pressed into a tight line before returning on Keke. “You were there when I caught and tamed my Vlidean.”

She rubbed the back of her hair out of nervousness and wondered what they were doing with the pup. The Dovaa wasn’t very old; she wondered how they’d gotten tangled up with Keke. Though Xenosa imaged it hadn’t been very hard since the Khehora stuck his nose where it didn’t belong. “It’s not very safe for either of you to be out here by yourselves.” If the duo ran into one of the wild creatures she’d heard about she would never see them again. Not that she actually cared for their wellbeing, but it was worth commenting on.

Apprentice Dovaa
Location: Just outside the Misty Inn
Interacting with: Shenra and anybody who wants to join in xD

Breaking the silence was the sound of a door opening. Rain looked up, and to his surprise, one of the larger buildings on the cliff-side, had opened. And there stood a girl that he did not recognize. She was maybe a good 4-5 years or so younger than him he decided. Hopefully his appearance didn’t intimidate her; especially the fact that he was holding a weapon.

Now Rain’s mother had always told him to be extra nice to girls. And he didn’t want to ruin what might possibly be his first attempt at a new friend. So he thought he should be on his best behavior. Perhaps she would be a kind soul that wouldn’t judge him based on his family’s wealth.

He stepped up to the cliff-side and gazed upward, his hood coming off in the process, revealing his horns. He greeted her with a warm smile and a wave. “Hello,” he said, bowing slightly. “It’s a pleasure to meet you. Is this The Misty Inn?”

Upon closer inspection, Rain decided that the girl appeared to be an Orderite. This would be his first encounter with one. Hopefully it went well. Maybe she would even want to go exploring with him. Perhaps she knew about the different locations on Ayr and would be able to provide him with new information. His eyes sparkled with excitement.

He then took a step back, in case she wanted to come down and join him.

Keke raised his claw obediently, nosing the puppy into the Dovaa's hands, cooing at it because, well, it was adorable as hell. He did eye it with just a smidgen of jealousy as it was offered a piece of jerky – a treat that smelled and looked absolutely delicious, making Keke's mouth water an reminding him that he was very hungry and still growing.

“I'll come with you to hunt.” he offered, though – pup now removed – his attention was on the Orderite. Honestly, she could have lied to him and he wouldn't have known better. Being lied to was such an infrequent thing for him that he usually was pretty credulous and naïve. Had she said no, he would have simply accepted it as a coincidence and a consequence of a cold nose.

But she had said yes, and on further inspection, it WAS her. “Xenosa!” he chirped, calling up her name from her memory. It had been years, but she looked as bright and colorful as ever. “Yes! I remember your Vildean! How is it? Did you name it yet?” surely she had, it having been years and all.

“And we're fine!” he chirped, “Though we won't be by ourselves if you're with us!” he added, as a very pleasant afterthought.
