"It never gets cold in Tale, either!" Pahana exclaimed, her face suddenly dropping into a dumbfounded look. OH, okay, now she understood why Senja was so concerned. Neither of them really knew what cold was, well, actually, Senja did, it was Pahana that didn't know, but did that really matter at the moment? She shook herself free from her thoughts and stood.
"Like I said, Sen-Sen, we've got this covered." She said, winking to the other woman. "I'm sure we can all improvise if we really need to, and it's not like everyone's going to be staying in the same house for weeks. I'm sure I could find a place with my brother if I really needed to, he loves it when I pop in for visits! There's no reason to be so worried."

Senja giggled at her father-in-law's action. "You're tired... why're you tired when I did all the work?" She teased with a laugh as she held her hands out demandingly at Viveka. If Rastain wasn't going to the hold the baby then she wanted to! Sakhile grumbled and wailed his fists; upset that he was not in his warm dark place but out in some bright area with lots of strange sounds and scents that overloaded his newborn mind. The shushing sounds right above him were new and different... they weren't similar to the other voices he had heard muffled while he grew inside the womb. It made him nervous and nervous meant he started to cry. "You've got a brother here?" Senja asked curiously. She could barely keep Rastian's family straight, and it worked a lot better if she could put names to faces. She knew of Ogbonna but Rastian's family was so convoluted she gave up after awhile.

Rastian watched as Viveka took Sakhile into his arms and immediately turned to face the fussing child. Oh, poor thing, this was all so new to him! Strange people, cold air, how were they going to calm him down? He raised a hand up and muttered a few words which conjured a soft, warm glow around his hand. He held that hand over Sakhile carefully, hoping to warm the child into a calm.
"Shhhh, baby, shhhh." He whispered. "It's okay, darling, it's okaaaayyy."

Viveka watched his brother conjure a ball of light and use it to try to soothe Sakhile. He didn't understand magic all the much, espescially when it was used for fighting, but he could appreciate it for all that it did. He bounced Sakhile gently and hummed, before turning to look at Senja.
"Ha, yeah, you'd imagine that a retired sentinel would have more energy!" He laughed, sticking his tongue out at his father.
"Oi, I'm getting old, can't keep up with all of you young people." Zevian scoffed, nudging Rastian with his foot as he started to laugh along with Viveka. "Stop laughing you ninny, you'll scare the baby."

Pahana stifled a chuckle at Rastian, Viveka, and their father before turning back to Senja.
"Yeah, Yaholo!" She chirped, placing her hands in her lap. "He's a hybrid brute that lives in Andile with his mother and sister. I'm sure he wouldn't mind taking some of us in for a little while, don't worry."
She shifted her position so she was sitting cross-legged and tapped her lips with her finger. Hm, though it was cold... Maybe Yaholo wouldn't have enough blankets to go around? Would it be better if she just went home after this? Ujana and Padma were probably wondering what she was up to, after all. She pursed her lips and smiled.
"Ah, well, would anyone like something to eat or drink? I'd be willing to make us some tea." She said.

Lavender Hues Whoops.. I didn't quote you in here O.o my bad! Senja cleared her throat and held her arms out demandingly. "I want to hold him again." She said, pouting slightly. Vivi could get his own baby. "Oh? Sounds fun! You should bring this Yaholo person here. I'd like to meet more of Rastian's family.. not that I can keep the family tree straight at all! So many relations, adoptions, half brothers." She sighed and shook her head. "You have an interesting family, love!" Alkdikes now? Ice, leaf, alkdiikes, and shifters if you count me... She giggled; "You know.. if our baby marries a wind, water, or fire hybrid than we'll have almost all the tribes in one family!" "Oh, I'd like some tea... or maybe hot cider?"
