With her ribs cut now all she needed was a good rub to go alone with them before pressure cooking them. Tentatively, Kaguya tasted the first item and made a face. Salty! But at least it would be good use for a rub. The ghost took a small spoon of her next ingredient and her eyes almost burst into flames! Woah, she better not put a lot of this in her rub but it would go nicely. She had all her dry ingredients now all she needed was a sauce… Whatever she tasted next would have to do… Whatever it was… Kaguya put the items together and rubbed down her ribs.

Invisible.
Really?
Really?
She understood the concept of being blind folded for a taste test or even being handicap in the function of food, but...invisible? It was one thing to not see, and another entirely to just not be there. Ada clenched her jaw, listening to the instructions with furrowed brow. There was no time to sissy out of it now, she'd come too far to be daunted by something she couldn't even see.
Once they were set loose to their invisible goods, Addie put her hands in and immediately grabbed something that...jangled? A dog, perhaps, with a dangling collar? The Nightmare frowned, fingers working over the coarse fur and something sharp near the head. The jangle happened again near the neck, thumbs rolling over something that felt like beads, bumping into an oblong pendant that was responsible for the noise. Jambalawwa! She quickly continued her inspection, finding a flat, fleshy nose and wings. Of course she got the invisible bat Jambalawwa, why would she have possibly gotten something she could work with easily? Ada took one hand off in preparation to grab another handful of invisible, but hesitated. What if the other options were worse? What if she didn't at all know what the others were, and she couldn't find this one again? Pursing her lips, she decided she'd take the challenge of the bat.

Now...how to prepare a writhing, invisible bat for consumption?
She didn't want to risk damaging the body (or her hand), so rather than stab the bat through the skull, she moved her fingers over the small body until she found the beads again, and in a quick twisting motion, broke the bat's neck. No muss, no fuss. Addie carefully put aside the crown and necklace, putting a napkin over them so she could find them again later, before she set about very carefully using a sharp knife to remove the wings (putting them in a bowl for later) as well as tenderly feeling out the eyeballs, fangs and clawed feet to just as carefully remove. It wasn't perfect, feeling eyeball juice leak down her fingers and knicking the stomach in a splash of invisible blood, but she was not deterred, using napkins to sop up what she could and continue her work. Removing the fur was hell, certainly not coming without rips and tears, but she wasn't trying to save the skin. Usually she'd try to burn the fur off, but...y'know. Being invisible and all. Thank Jack.
It was plump, so gutting it was rather simple, most of the innards spilling out with the incision. De-boning it was much more a challenge, and thanks to her experience in the bone usage with her contestant in the previous round, she was able to figure out the structure of the bat with some sense of familiarity, satisfied when she had just a bunch of meat. Now...now she could move on and prepare her dish, though she wasn't so sure she was excited about this next part...

Time to cook. Or try to.
No, she told herself. There is no try. Only do.
Ada took in a deep breath and used a small spoon to taste the first spice she could 'find.' It was oily, quite thick, and when she dabbed her finger on the spoon, it lost its consistency to something softer, melted. She decided she'd use this one to cook the bat in, adding a healthy dose to the pan and cutting up the meat in to manageable cubes. Putting the heat on and tossing the meat in, she tried the second spice, making face at the rather sticky and sweet concoction. Honey? She could use that as the garnish. Stirring the meat, she tasted the third - oh Jack, that was spicy as hell! She loved it! Running her tongue over her teeth, Ada grabbed the wings in the bowl and dashed them in the spicy spice. Setting a separate pan to heat, she put the wings in it, cooking her meal carefully.
The meat produced a fair amount of juice, which she poured out intermittently for the broth. She gathered the giblets on the side of the cutting board (or what she assumed were the giblets) and added those to the pan with the meat. Once she could take in the odor of something a touch sweet, she dumped the contents into a pot boiling with stock, letting it simmer as she attended the wings. The Nightmare gingerly poked and prodded the pan's contents with a wooden spoon until she heard a crispy sound, only then removing the wings from the heat.
And now, the finishing touches--!

Ada grabbed a few plates and put a bowl on top of each one, carefully dumping the pot's contents into the four bowls (using her thumb as a measure - not smart, but she couldn't see the stuff) - the fourth for her, and only keeping the left overs at that for a sample. A quick sip and chew of the stew, and -- well hot knickers! That wasn't half bad! Hell, it wasn't a quarter bad!
Extremely pleased, she used her digits to feel the finger-like lengths in the wings, tearing each one off so she had six. Two went in the three bowls for the judges, pressed towards the 'back' of the dish, as if her presentation would somehow be seen. Adding her second spice as the drizzle on top to put some sweetness over the whole thing, the Nightmare felt positively giddy finishing the meal with the crown set on the plate to the side, the beads wrapped around the base of the bowl. She'd done it!
That was it! The round was over, and Addie could not have been more pleased with her efforts. Invisible or not, she'd done it, and as far as she could tell - which wasn't much - she did a damn fine job.
