"Piss off the Negaverse, defect, and help Order" had seemed like a much better plan, Tantalus thought, before he and Chariklo had actually enacted it and bolted like crazy. He was fairly certain that two Chaos auras bolting towards a large group of Order would not be well-received, but then, he really didn't have much of a choice. So when they were closer to the group, he slowed to a walk - which was definitely not because he was panting a little - and held his hands up in surrender when he stepped into view.

He saw a familiar face - but he wasn't sure how much Babylon was aware of Tantalus's little disagreement with his ancestor, and so he wasn't sure, entirely, if it was a friendly face.

"I surrender," he said, which felt as good an opening as any, "or rather, I'm here to help your side. Not the Negaverse." Hopefully some of the others here remembered that hellish future, or at least knew of the recent issues between the Negaverse and the Mirror - and would, therefore, hopefully be more willing to accept that he and Chariklo were not a danger to them.

And the party kept growing...

Phact's eyes turned in several directions as she took in the number of knights that appeared. Each had something on them that screamed a planet. All except the girl in blue and red. Senshi. So she wasn't alone here. But what she did find interesting was that some people did seem to know more. Oh she needed answers.

But not as bad as the one knight that decided now would be the best time to find out if others where in item.

Phact nearly spun on her heels and walked into the words to find chaos on her own when those words came out of his mouth. "Do you really think now is the time to be asking someone who they are involved with?" Phact spat out as she looked at the knight of mars with a true notion of wtf.

Shaking her head as she shook of the shock, Phact looked around. "A big stick can help though." She commented with a warm smile to Hvergelmir. "I am Sailor Phact, senshi of doves...." Her eyes then landed on the Earth Knight that was still sitting to the side. She watched him, wondering what he was looking for. He had landed nearly as 'gracefully' as she had. "Are you alright?"

She had just gotten the words out when she heard some behind them. So DMC came too? Things were getting very interesting....

"This is Avalon," clarified Babylon, in response to continued confusion over where they were - mostly in Phact and Sandrine's directions. "The Wonder. It's off the coast of England? And its knight is Avalon Page. My, uh, my girlfriend?" Or soulmate. Or something. It was weird to refer to Avalon like that when he was around other knights - especially those who remembered that they'd been trying to kill each other over the summer.

"She's not necessarily missing," he added, trying to quell his growing worry. Arkady was capable of taking care of herself when she needed to, but he wasn't sure how she would fare against a possible invasion of Negaversers. "She's just here somewhere and I'm not sure where."

"But yeah, there's chaos here that shouldn't be here," he added, feeling somewhat self-conscious that there were so many people here. The Code had a history of going overboard when it came to dragging people places, but it had never called senshi before - and the sheer magnitude of this summoning had him worried.

"I got it, yeah," he added, smiling at Glitnir. "Works great, yeah?" Anyway, the page seemed to think there was something going on between him and Hvergelmir, which he needed to dispel. "And we're just friends. I'm with. Uh. Avalon. Like I said. We hold hands." They did significantly more than hold hands. Not that that was anyone's business.

Anyway.

"We should probably see about those Chaos signatures, huh?" said Babylon, tugging on his collar.

Hvergelmir nodded in response to the introductions. The Mars knight had her feeling self-conscious -- she could have sworn he'd been staring at her, which left her wondering if she had something on her face, or if it was just the usual reaction of disbelief that the universe had outfitted her with a uniform so incredibly far from combat-ready (not out of the realm of possibility from a Mars knight, she supposed).

"Falias!" she said with relief, glad to see another face she recognized, if not one she knew very well. He was a fellow veteran of the Mistral debacle, and for better or for worse, that meant he too had some experience with handling tense, unknown, dangerous and bloody situations. She hoped it was a good sign he could be counted on to keep his head if things went south. (Though, frankly, she was more worried about her own ability to keep calm if things went pear-shaped.)

The reminder of Mistral -- and all the other, fear-pricking similarities -- dredged up other ghosts for her, though, ones that distracted her from what some of the others were saying. For a moment, she thought she could see tiny little Degrasse Page out of the corner of her eye, sandwiching her way in between two of the others with innocent enthusiasm. She shivered, the blood washing from her face, and turned to look . . . but it was only a wisp of fog moving in the distance.

"If anyone here is -- is new," she said in a slightly more strangled voice, feeling the phantom sensation of Degrasse's blood squelching between her toes, "Can you maybe let us know? We should, ah -- be careful -- "

She was distracted in her anxious nattering by the sudden arrival of a Chaos aura in their near midst. She turned and saw a man she didn't know -- but no, she did know him. She'd met him in the maybe-future -- a lovely, mutilated Dark Mirror senshi she'd only been able to communicate with through . . .

Dionysia, her mind supplied. Another name she hadn't known a moment ago.

"Tantalus," she said with no small amount of surprise, successfully jarred for the moment out of her fear of a moment ago. "It's Hvergelmir. You know some of us -- do you remember that?"

She put her hands up in hopes of conveying peace. There was no need for this to come to violence right now, and she hoped no one would do anything hasty.

Four youma emerge from between the broken-down houses!

During all the hubbub of arrivals, some of the Chaotic auras have moved closer. First to slink out of an alleyway is something too-long and catlike, its barbed tail thrashing the air restlessly as it prowls. It circles the group warily.

It is followed by something... something that might have been human once, but now is not. He--it looks like a he--has inky black eyes that look sightlessly into the group from the hollows of a featureless bronze mask. His arms have morphed into long, pointed appendages that he leans on to walk, glittering Negaverse purple.

On the other side, something like a griffon swoops down for a graceless landing, pinning the group between itself and its companions. Its massive claws are large enough to have caused the gouges in the buildings--but there's something thick and viscous leaking from its claw beds, green stuff that leaves long, unbroken strings behind it.

This all would be bad enough, but the next youma's step shakes the ground. It is massive, taller than the buildings, and its bare hands are black-nailed and blood-stained.

The masked youma says, in a voice that sounds like the screech of nails on a chalkboard: "Leave."

Palatine made no further effort at introductions, though she was pleased that none of her company were small children. None were quite as... advanced in age as she was (not old, because she didn't think of herself as old), but she'd take twenty-somethings and older teens over anyone who couldn't legally be classified as an adult.

Though Palatine was of the opinion that there should be less talk and more action, she said nothing to that effect. The conversation could yield some valuable information, after all. It didn't yet, as far as she could hear, aside from the fact that they'd all ended up at Avalon, somewhere off the coast of England.

England. How far could this Code thing take them?? Well, they'd already been summoned to Mar. England wasn't nearly as far in comparison.

Satisfied at least that she did not see the faces of either Ganymede or Valhalla, Palatine could focus on what needed to be done rather than fret about what may or may not be happening at home.

The first Chaos aura to reveal itself was a strange one to Palatine. She'd heard of the Senshi of the Dark Mirror Court, but she'd not yet had the opportunity to encounter one. Two years was a long time to go without becoming acquainted with the Court, but Palatine never claimed to be particularly active. She had a life, after all. The Dark Mirror Court seemed somewhat less prominent than the Negaverse, in any case.

Even so, she was unsure whether or not to trust this one's surrender. He was Chaos, whether or not he was responsible for what was happening here. It could be a trick.

She switched her attention from the Dark Mirror Senshi to the youma as four of them slipped out of hiding. Palatine looked between them but could not think of them as much of a threat. Youma were familiar to her. Enough force and they'd be nothing but dust in no time.

“Unfortunately we don't have much control over that,” she said in response to the masked youma's demand. “Anyhow, I'm pretty sure that out of everyone, you're the ones who're out of place. This isn't your territory.”

Hissing with pain, Chariklo could feel blood leaking from her shoulder and down her back. Following after Tantalus, she was relieved to have burst so quickly onto a small group of Order's finest. At least, she hoped they were. As she stood panting for a moment, letting Tantalus announce them, she felt two auras brush against her senses that felt oddly familiar . Familiar in a 'Hey, future bros!' kind of way. Glancing up swiftly, she couldn't hold back the gleeful shriek that burst from her throat.

"Hver! Babylon! You're both alive!"

Surging forward, all thoughts of the Negaverse were momentarily forgotten in her need to descend on the two knights and hug the ever-lovin' s**t out of them. Well, okay, maybe not Babylon as much as Hver, but still. He'd offered the Dark Mirrors a safe place. Even if it hadn't panned out, he'd offered.

And Hver was simply Hver. But thankfully without the terrible scarring that Chariklo remembered so well. But before she could sweep the Cosmos knight into a bear hug, four youma appeared from the buildings. Freezing in place, Chariklo felt her gorge rise. Of course there would be big, scary monsters. Of course! No Negaverse party was complete without them. Moving unconsciously, she placed herself between Hvergelmir and the youma, a distant part of her remembering the Knight's oath of non-violence.

And just as she was feeling confident of their chances of survival, she got a good look at the fourth youma and let out a string of expletive that would have shocked a sailor. A giant. Of course! Sure, why not?

Fingers working quickly, but absently as her eyes never left the monsters, she tore a strip of her overlay and began to mechanically bind the wound on her shoulder.

"Leave. Right. Sorry, dude. Don't think I'm all that willing to oblige you," she muttered. Eyes scanning the group for Tantalus, she smiled a bit grimly. "Don't suppose those apples of yours would work on them, Tanty-pants? Anyone got any strategies beyond 'kick their ******** asses'?"

Oh, fantastic. Glitnir couldn't have made himself look stupider if he tried. He wished getting distracted by the shiny and the pretty and the wow could have excused itself somehow, but it didn't. "Uh, s-sorry," he mumbled in Hvergelmir's direction, giving Phact a glance to indicate the apology was sort of directed towards her too. Well, at least he knew that Hvergelmir was possibly available (?), but after screwing up so spectacularly on his first impression, he was pretty sure that any further attempts to see if she'd be willing to go around with him would be pointless. Maybe he could still see if they could patrol together, or perhaps meet up under other circumstances? (Sweet Jesus, how desperate was he? He made a mental note to quit being gross. Just act normal, you idiot.)

He had no time to continue berating himself for being stupid, however, as the youma made their entrance, one of which was downright gigantic. How the hell were they supposed to take something that big down? It wasn't like he'd be doing it himself with his dinky brass-ish scale, but he was still a little concerned. Furthermore, Dark Mirror senshi had arrived, though they had declared themselves friendlies. Though Glitnir had not seen much of them directly in his vision, he had remembered hearing whispers of Dark Mirror senshi helping Order forces, and so he was inclined to trust these two (even if the lady was cussing one absolutely impressive blue streak). Somewhat meekly, he spoke up: "Anyone got any plans for taking down the big one? I think that one's going to be the most trouble."

Babylon didn't know what to think of the presence of Dark Mirror Senshi on Avalon - mostly, he wanted to know how they'd gotten here. His hypothesis so far was that the Code had brought them all here to respond to a crisis, and that was already complicated by the presence of White Moon Senshi. So unless the Dark Mirror was the crisis...

(Which he found hard to believe for a few reasons - first of all, what on earth would they want with Avalon? Second of all, Chariklo and Tantalus seemed friendly? Third of all, he'd never known Dark Mirror Senshi to pal around with Youma?)

And there were definitely youma here, he thought, looking anxiously towards the monsters that had appeared from one of the shacks. They must have been brought here by Negaversers, right? Which meant... well, probably something to do with General Avalon's disappearance and subsequent purification, if he had to guess. Beyond that, he suspected they'd have to actually find Avalon before anything became clear.

"Chariklo," he said, waving slightly to the newly-arrived senshi. He remembered her from his dream of the future, although she'd been different then. A princess. "So, are we just acting like all of that weird prophetic dream stuff actually happened?" he asked. He supposed that it made introductions easier, if he was already on friendly terms with this woman. "I'm sorry that the whole retreat-to-space thing never actually panned out. s**t got dark really fast and I had to make a decision and we weren't ready to move everyone at once."

Which, considering he couldn't prove that had actually ever happened, might actually be a dumb thing to be apologizing for.

"But since we're here," he added, turning his attention back to the youma but still addressing Chariklo, "And we're on my girlfriend's wonder and the forces of darkness are also here, I've got to ask - how did you get here? Were you called by, uh, I'm assuming it's the Code, because it's usually the Code when this kind of s**t happens?"

But, anyway: youma. "I think that when it comes to these things, kicking their ******** asses is the only option." They'd just regenerate in the rift later. That was what Avalon said they did.

Between the glare she was still shooting at the mars knight and the appearance of more chaos aura, Phact already knew this was going to be a very long day. She did have to admit she felt a bit out of place with the people who knew each other. But what they were saying seemed....off?

Then again in the middle of the night she had been transported to a Wonder without ever having even met the knight connected to it. Now there were dark moon and youma.

"I'm starting to think your horrible flirting might be the best thing that happens to us." Phact commented to the Mars Page as she glanced around them towards the four appearing youma.

"Well, unless we can run them off a cliff or drop a building on them, who is up for splitting up and trying to pick them off one by one?" Phact suggested to everyone as she glanced at the four. It was the masked man she was worried about.

It spoke....

Tantalus let out a small sigh of relif. Yes, they'ds chosen correctly - Chariklo was clearly familiar with at least two out of this group, and in a way, so was he.

"Lady Knight Hvergelmir, yes, I know you - though not by face or voice, which is a tragedy, as both are so lovely. I'm glad to rectify that." His approach was somewhat more measured than Chariklo's, with a lot less running. Perhaps this wasn't the time or place to be charming, but well, he was going to do it anyway. Once he was close enough, he carefully took Hvergelmir's hand, bringing it up to his lips to kiss it.

Part of this might have been a carefully crafted strategy to look as unintimidating as possible to those here who, unlike Hvergelmir and Babylon, were not at all familiar with him. He was hoping it would work, because being caught between Order and several very large, very unattractive youma...no.

"We came here with the Negaverse," he said, in answer to Babylon's question, "as 'goodwill ambassadors' from the Court. Or something. I was planning to damage their operation more subtly, but the arrival of Order sort of makes subtlety unnecessary." He turned towards the gathered youma, hands on his hips. "I've never tried my magic on them, but dogs can chase a ball -- I'm sure youma can chase an apple. We'll best be served sticking together, because the Negaverse is here in quite large force, and splitting up risks running into officers, alone, when they will undoubtedly have backup."

The masked youma's face (face?) sways back and forth among the senshi and knights before him. He tips the mask down, and picks at the mud with the long, crystalline implements that might have once been his hands... or maybe not. Who knew?

"Leave," he says. And again: "Leave."

The chant--it is a chant--is picked up by the massive youma, whose low voice shakes the stones of the houses. "Leave," they say. "Leave. Leave. Leave."

Rolling begins in an hour and a half!

Waving aside Babylon's apology, Chariklo turned slightly to offer him a small grin.

"Honey, from the sound of it, you guys were just magically poited into a whole 'nother country by magic. Given that and how ridiculous our general existence is, I'm not so quick to discount those memories as mere dreams. And eh, no worries. Things got... interesting towards the end there."

Eyes moving between the two Knights and Tantalus, she sighed a little as her compatriot moved to charm Hvergelmir. Well, his explanation was all right as far as it went.

"We didn't know what we were signing up for when we volunteered to ahh... help. We were simply told it was a large scale assignment. It's not good, Babylon. They're trying to conquer your chick's wonder. And she's here. I saw her passed out in a big, golden mist bubble. She looked safe enough, but I just don't know how long that'll last."

Turning, she regarded both knights soberly, holding out a hand as if in supplication.

"I swear to you we are not here to help them. Not after what they've done, are going to do, whatever. I have no desire to see that future become reality. And I have no desire to see what happens if an actual Wonder is corrupted."

Scanning the youma, she rather thought that the gryphon and the giant were the more worrisome of the quartet. Splitting up would only work as long as they found a way to coordinate their efforts.

The newly instated Page Ba Sing Sei had been hard at work prepping packed lunches for his wife and kids to bring to work and school, respectively, and he still felt the residual peanut butter on his fingertips when he suddenly found himself in the middle of what looked like the set for a horror movie. The only difference was there was oodles of powered folks on every side of him, and unlike any horror movie, he was left brandishing his handy dandy cabbage in front of him like it was going to do a damn thing to protect him from a mountain sized monster that was chanting for them to go.

He didn't even have words; what normal person would have words? He'd only found out about the whole alternate persona thing like a week ago and -- he just sort of squeaked, shrinking back a step or two and clutching the cabbage like it was all he had, because sadly enough, it was. "So... where's the exit??"
