"Why would you want to hurt someone?" asked Boggart seriously. "Yeah, he heals in time, but the other person is healed immediately."
They were walking up a lane to a very small cottage with a much larger garden full of neat lanes of tilled earth. "This is my place," he said, opening the gate. The cottage seemed much better cared for than you would expect. Nashi fixes it up because Boggart is about as handy as a hammer made of fruit cake.

Kaida thought about the question. "I don't know honestly, maybe they wanted territory or had extreme hatred...I guess." She paused for a moment to think about it. "Although sometimes I think that alone could drive a pony mad." She continued to listen to him talk about his father. "I see. Well that sucks, but at least he heals. I take it he rarely does it then?"
As Kaida walked up the lane she took in all the surroundings. "Wow this is a beautiful place. A lot of care and loves seems to have gone into it." She looked around the area.

"There are a lot of ponies lately who can heal without repercussions," said Boggart, "so, you're right, Dad doesn't have to use his powers. He just feeds everyone."
Boggart followed her through his vegetable garden. "It's quiet here," he said. "I get a bit... I don't like crowds. Well, strangers. Crowds of strangers. This place, my home, is like a safe zone in chasing games. It's safe..."

Kaida was admiring the garden as Boggart spoke. She was so lost in the sight that at first she had another ditz out moment, but after a minute or two she snapped back to reality. "Oh! If you don't mind me asking who are the main healers now?"
She glanced back at the plants. "It's nice to have a place to go to that is quiet. Sometimes being by yourself can be refreshing. Although sometimes it can be quite lonely..." She decided to switch the topic. "Do you grow avocados or is this the wrong climate?"
((A bit of a chatterbox ain't she?))

"Ah..." Boggart had to think. "If you're wounded or unwell, best to go see Milfoil, he heals with herbs. His mother is good for worse hurts, broken things, as she uses dragon magic and she can fly to you; she is Yarrow. Then there are the ponies in the magic guild, they use potions to heal instead or herbs or magic."
Boggart blinked. "I never tried to grow avocados, so I couldn't tell you. I hear you can grow them in a jar of water, though..."

Kaida listened to what Boggart was telling her. "Hmm...they seem like a nice bunch. Herbs? Actually do you have any herbs?" She looked around the garden. "Although now that I think of it there are some nasty herbs that you shouldn't ever eat like nightshade." She stopped herself on her little ramble. "Do you have any favorites on what to grow?"

"Nightshade... if you want that, it grows around the magic guild. I like growing thyme and rosemary and mint and tomatoes and potatoes and... I like growing things to eat," he smiled sheepishly.

Kaida nodded her head. "Oh yes. Those are much more valuable. To tell you the truth I tend to prefer the vegetables and herbs as opposed to poisons." She looked at all of them. "Do you use fertilizer or anything to help it grow or keep bugs off? They seem well taken care of."

Boggart shook his head. "No fertilisers or weed killers. I just use my talent. It takes a lot of time to weed by hoof, but I do it every day. The bugs, well..." he glanced at a few odd charms around the fences of his yard. "I do get a bit of help. I have some pest deterrent magical charms made from the magic guild. Dad, Heketoro, was given them for me by someone from the magic guild as payment for a grand meal. They have helped so much. I truly am grateful."

Kaida looked at Boggart then at the garden. "Oh.." She glanced at it all once again before looking back towards him. "I know I have just met you and all, but if you need some help at all I would be very much obliged to help you sometime if you would like." She was just so smitten with the whole garden that she had forgotten about the whole idea of cooking or baking at the moment. "Your dad must be well liked."

"My dad is very generous," replied Boggart. "Ponies respond well to generosity."
"I would be glad for help in my garden," said Boggart in surprise. Usually no-one wanted to grub in the dirt with him.

Kaida smiled for a while. "Indeed they do. Generosity can get one pretty far in life." She then took another look at the garden. "So is there anything I can do to help out? I would love to lend a helping hand or hoof rather." She laughed a bit at her bad joke.

Boggart smiled and chuckled at her joke. "Well, I'll put these berries inside. Then we can water everything and make sure there are no weeds, if you like. After that I can make you a nice berry loaf- it's like banana bread but berries instead! Or a giant blueberry muffin but not blueberries..." He opened his front door and let himself in. His house wasn't large and it opened into a bright kitchen. He poured the berries into a large bowl already on the counter and went back outside to the shed.
"I only have one watering can," he said, filling it from the tap. "You can use it, and I can weed."

Kaida nodded her head. "Alright. Sounds good to me and besides, I can see how you bake so maybe I could try sometime. Hoping the oven doesn't explode and all." Once Boggart came out with the watering can she grabbed it and put it down briefly to speak. "That's fine by me. Sometimes two sets of hooves are better than one." She then went off to water the plants before noticing a caterpillar on one of the plants. "Is it ok for this fellow to be on here or do you want me to place him somewhere else?"

"The caterpillar should be fine," said Boggart generously. "It's slugs, snails, and other little nasties that aren't fine. They're kept out by the spell, though. If any little creatures who won't harm the plants was a home, they can have one here. Until I pick the plants, that is!" He followed along behind Kaida, picking out little sprouting weeds from the moistened ground.
