said Atibonth. He was enjoying the conversation, though he was less than pleased at her comment. he said, his mental voice a deep sigh, Jamarin, personally, would rather the dragon not do anything like that stunt again. Or he'd actually kick her this time. “Nah.” he said, “Not a wink. Guess you too, huh?” He gave Kynigoth a wary look before sitting down on the floor, his dragon taking on a sphinx-esque pose beside him. said Atibonth. “So. What're you gonna do? About yer tannercraft?” asked Jamarin, forcing the subject into something far from what it had been.

Kynigoth seemed to like her brother's comebacks as her head nodded slowly, her eyes cast upon hers with a quizzical look. < Mine, what worries you? Is it the knowledge that he is not a he?> The nosy dragon questioned carefully, privately, to her rider, so as not to let the boys in on the knowledge of her having told Kalendol. She'd been given orders not to do so. 'Aye, it troubles me. Though I wouldn't know how to express this worry to him without losing him.' The teenager responded as she nodded her head. " I guess the day still leaves me absolutely excited. Just fourty-eight hours ago I was just a candidate, worried as the dragonets chose others over me. Now here I am a weyrling with a dragonet of my own. It's rather... exciting." The girl laughed behind her gloved hand and smiled at Jamarin. " Perhaps you had the right idea about a walk." Now, the teen had her hands clasped upon her lap, a sort of worried look on her face. Kynigoth nodded brutally and adjusted herself with a huff, her eyes scanning her clutchmate. < I will certainly tell mine not to apologize. She does it too often. It's rather disconcerting.> Only due to the fact that Kynigoth rather didn't like apologizing. It was mortifying. < Mine, Atibonth wishes you would not apologize. There's no need. See, I told you so.> Kynigoth passed along the message and then went back to her conversation. < Knowledge... All secrets should become knowledge, Atibonth, nothing should be kept hidden. Only then can we all truly be free.> The green smiled kindly, as though she couldn't imagine it being any differently. She had a quest for knowledge that she claimed as secrets. < I certainly hope you'd have no need to forgive me of anything. I only desire to learn all aspects of the lives of humanity.> The dragonet chuckled, her mental voice rich and dreamy. Kalendol shifted a little, sliding down to the floor and allowing her booted feet to touch Jamarin's lightly. " I'm not sure what I'll do of my craft. I still need to attend classes for dragonets, like the rest of the weyrlings, though... perhaps I won't have to do too many chores. I'd like to get back to it, that's for certain." Kalendol's brunet hair bounced as she nodded. She'd let it down, allowing the silky length to fall down to her waist while she relaxed. < Humans are such intriguing creatures. Don't you agree, Atibonth?> The dragonet hummed as she lay her head upon her rider's lap, completely happy to have a human pillow who scratched her chin.

“It's... excitin' is a word for it.” he said, smirking wanly, “Overwhelmin', I think, is better. The blue turned to his sister again. said Atibonth, amused, he gave the mental equivalent of a shrug, Jamarin didn't know what to make of the touch, and thus decided to make nothing of it. “Well, there was a healer with a dragon, wasn't there? So maybe ye can take it up after?” he asked. He honestly had no idea. “Or durin'.” he amended, “Don't got that problem. Don't have a craft.” Neither he nor Jikki had a craft. But he wasn't thinking about Jikki, or his murderbeastmanlydragon, or anything like that. Nope. Atibonth sent him a mental pat on the shoulder. The blue understood: things would be awkward. But Atibonth - despite Langoneth's attitude – thought that it could work out. he said to his sister, he added, Frankly, the conversation in his head was over his head. Instead, Jamarin looked at Kalendol thoughtfully. He was comfortable on the floor – comfortable enough: it WAS a floor – but... “Y' want to... take a walk with me? Us?” he amended, remembering Atibonth. He'd have a hanger on now, which wasn't so different than before, except now it was a dragon instead of a brother and said dragon was in his head. “I mean, if ya don't want...” he said, “That's fine too.”

The average sized green seemed to flick her tail at her brother's statement, a deep thought process working within her mind. < Secrets are never ending, brothermine. Especially in these humans. Why, they always have something to hide. It is my duty to free them from their burdens.> The green said thoughtfully and then tuned into the feelings of her rider. The girl had a sea of emotions beneath her. < Mine, are you well? Is it too much?> The dragonet thought. ' No, I'm quite alright, Kynigoth.' The dragonet frowned a little and her eyes started to swirl an intense yellow color as she worried over her's. " Its good to have a craft when you're not a rider, gives you things to do. Perhaps I should just take a break from my training and focus only on Kynigoth and my classes." The girl smiled a little, her hazel eyes upon the boy as she gently scratched Kynigoth's head. < Dragons certainly are fascinating creatures, though I've to admit that humans intrigue me more. Most dragons are fairly blunt and open, not necessarily all dragons, though some. There's no fun to be gained from trying to learn a dragons secrets. We've none.> The dragonet chuckled a little and leaned into her rider's gentle scratching, she couldn't help it. The attention truly did feel amazing. < Whers, poor excuses for dragons, more like pets. Though you're correct, I'm sure they're also similar, brothermine.> " A walk with you?" Kalendol looked to Jamarin in surprise before she smiled and a faint blush located itself upon her cheeks. " No no, I'd love to go for a walk with you...er... you both." Kalendol smiled a little more, looking to Kynigoth who had hummed in agreement. " We both accept the invitation." Kalendol nodded.

half-teased Atibonth, “Mmm.” Jamarin said, agreeing, “Gonna work on Atibonth, too. Probably wont have time for much else.” he'd be taking care of that dragon, he was sure, every single day of his life. said the dragon calmly. Jamarin knew it to be true, though he grumbled something about 'taking care of himself' at his dragon. “Arright.” he said, standing up, “Lets go then. It's nice this time 'o night.” Actually, it was cold, but so what? He wanted to move. said Atibonth graciously,

The young woman smiled and looped her hand within Jamarin's arm, a grin on her face as she hauled her cloak over her shoulders. " Great!" She chirped in excitement and looked down, ' You ready to go, Kynigoth?' Kalendol beamed down at the dragonet who seemed to churr in agreement to her question. Kynigoth blinked at her brother carefully and playfully butted his shoulder with her head, < Bah! Brothermine, I doubt you could contain your secrets. You're much too talkative for that.> The pale green teased lightly in return. < I don't know Atibonth, I doubt Whers could be in charge. They can't even thoughtspeak.> Kynigoth chortled rather snobbishly. But she wasn't a snob, she just had her own opinions. " Alrighty, let's go!" The young woman smiled up at Jamarin, and then hummed a little as she squeezed his arm lightly and headed out. Kynigoth chuckled with good humor and nudged Atibonth with her tail, < Perhaps one day we shall indulge in the wonders of this world, but today, the humans are restless and we must walk!>

Atibonth laughed. His laughter was light and tinkling, with a hint of knowing that gave it a gravity beyond his youth. It was a good 'sound', upbeat, hopeful, and full of guileless delight. Even Jamarin's stubborn mood brightened at the sound. said the blue, his eyes whirling joyfully, he teased, He nudged his sister back, a little playful himself – serious though he may be, he was also a hatchling, barely days old. Jamarin was a little surprised when she took his arm. He was not used to people – other than his brother - touching him outside of a fight. But, he decided not to make a big deal out of it. It wasn't. He was just... startled... that was all. In an attempt to cover his embarrassing twitch, if it was even that, he hooked her arm in his, as he'd seen others do. Okay, couples. They'd been couples. But maybe he was a little shortsightedly hopeful. She was a pretty girl, and he'd be seeing a lot of her now, so why not flirt. He looked at her hands, and then at her face. This was flirting, right? Jamarin had no idea. “So. Uh. How about the, uh, upper weyrs?” he suggested, uncertainly, “Or wherever.” he interrupted himself hurriedly, “Wherever you wanna go.” said Atibonth, returning to their conversation of before about the whers, he trailed off delicately, not liking how the words sounded in his mental voice. he said, carefully, slight distaste in his voice, even then. Then again, so did Jamarin. he amended,

Kalendol hummed, and looked up at Jamarin at his question. A small smile seemed to paint itself permanently upon her features and she shook her head a little, winking, "No way. You're the one who invited me. So where ever you'd like to go is where I'd like to go." She smiled and then giggled a little. This was so exciting, this flirting game. The only boys she'd really known were her brothers, and they were the worst flirts in the world. Sure, there'd been other children in her hold, but she'd been too absorbed in her studies to even dare look at one of them. Ode to being a prodigy, eh? The seventeen turn old took this moment to press closer to Jamarin, her eyes bright and excited as her dragon bustled by her, tail twitching in irritation. < Bah, whers don't know their tails from their mouths.> She grunted with discomfort. She didn't like thinking that dragons were not the most powerful beings. < They're violent, brutal beasts with nothing going on between their heads but who to bite next. If we acted that way the Thread would've killed the humans long ago. Therefore, is it not prudent to believe we're the most powerful? The humans need us after all.> She sniffed.

Yes he had invited her, hadn't he... Right. He blushed as she pressed close to him, surprised. Shards, was it... working?! Was she into him? Shards, she had to be. Thats what happened when girls pressed against you like that. “The lake.” he said abruptly, “Lets go walk around th' lake. Y' want to do that?” Walking around lakes was something that... couples... did, right? “It's probably nice 'round this time of day.” Actually, Jamarin had no idea – it could be shaffing cold for all he knew. He didn't go on walks very often: Jikkiri was the slacker, not him. The cliffs were an option too – Jikkiri had said that it was nice and scenic. Not that Jamarin really appreciated that... but girls did, right? reassured Atibonth. The blue was sure that such a pleasant looking place couldn't be so bad. he wasn't so sure about the word for a wher's bonded,

The seventeen turn old squeaked in delight and nodded her head, "That sounds like so much fun! The weather seems a bit cold today, but the beauty will certainly live up to the expectations of this date." She giggled and then Kalendol looked down at Kynigoth, Do you think he likes me, Kynigoth?< Why else suggest a date to the lake? Even if he says it's just a walk. You go girl.> Kynigoth nodded in delight and mentally smiled at her rider, she was happy for her. At least Kalendol was happy, even if this boy hid things from her. Secrets don't matter to me, Kynigoth. When he's ready he'll tell me. Until then, lay off a bit, okay? < As you wish, mine.> The dragonet gently nosed Kalendol's leg, pushing her closer towards Jamarin with a soft huff. < I'd have to see it to believe it. Though, their secrets do amuse me. Surely, they speak differently due to their secrets. Ah, it's such a pain. Come on, we're on human watch.> The dragonet sighed mentally and gave a little eyeroll as she followed after the humans on their way to the lake. < Humans are more intriguing then I give them credit for. Perhaps you're right about our much smaller cousins.> Kynigoth had gleaned the word from her bonded's mind; it was like family, as Atibonth was her brother, her mother's clutchmate's dragonets would be her cousins. Yeah, she gave Atibonth the mental image to explain her words; though it was a little off.

… It didn't seem that cold to Jamarin, but Jamarin had thick skin about discomfort, except when he decided to complain. He was about to say as much, but Atibonth – that rational presence in his mind – effectively put a mental 'finger' to his lips. Jamarin decided not to comment. Nor did he comment about beauty or not beauty or whatever. He felt completely unqualified for any of this. “Yeah.” he managed, trying not to act like a complete dimglow, which he was firmly feeling like at that moment. Atibonth sent him a wave of amused reassurance. said the young blue, noting – with approval - that Kalendol was very close to Jamarin. The blue did hope that she would go a little slower – give Jamarin some room to think - but it was not his place to advise her. It would have to come from herself, the hatchling knew, or – better yet – from her dragon, who he could advise. He sent another wave of encouragement at Jamarin and returned his attention to Kynigoth. He knew little of whers – and flits – themselves and Jamarins mind had little information to glean. He hadn't picked Jamarin out for his brains, after all, though the dragon was sure to admit this very quietly to himself. Or, perhaps, harder? If they did not use words, would they be unable to hide things? Emotion and sensation were very honest, as communication went. Hmmm he thought. It was an interesting concept. he agreed, There was a hint of reluctance in his voice – he would have to figure out humans if he was to advise to and about them, which he knew he wanted to. Already, he understood much, but he was fresh out of the egg, and the world was very big.

DraconicFeline Sorry it's so late, Fee. I have had a hard time of things. Kalendol felt a sort of push from her partner, and as she glanced down at the young green she found eyes swirled with a troubled color. An orange color had pulsed into the ever faceted eye of gold, making Kalendol's grip on the boy beside her lesson a bit. Her eyes gazed at her dragonet as the voice chimed within her head, <Mine, perhaps take things slower with this human? He is a bit... different then the average human boy.> Kynigoth warned simply, then her tail twitched and the orange in her eyes was gone, replaced with a happy green swirling color.
Kalendol nodded her head slowly and relaxed a little, just keeping their arms looped together as they walked towards the lake. She regarded Jamarin now, and smiled comfortingly. "You don't say much, eh?" She teased lightly, trying to maintain their conversation.
Kynigoth turned her head towards her brother, her faceted eyes beaming as their conversation developed. There was much to be learned in their life. <I think that secrets are harder to keep when words are impossible to hide them or deny them. Emotions and feelings seem to be the true center of secrets.> Her brother at least understood her quest for the secrets in the hearts of others. <I am sure the two of us can do anything we set our minds to, of course, brothermine.>

“No.” he said, recognizing the irony, “Could talk for me, though...” he said, abruptly, “I don't mind.” The lake was beautiful, and Atibonth found himself enjoying it immensely. So did Jamarin, though most of the beauty was lost on him. “Jikkiri's the talker.” he added with a snort, by way of explanation, “I do the work.” he sent her one of his pleasant, knowing little dragon smiles, he hummed softly, giving the humans some space. he tilted his head at his sister, he asked. Her opinions would guide him, and thus could he guide her...

// sorry for my inactivity.
The seventeen turn old blinked her hazel eyes and nodded her head carefully before looking at the beauty of the lake, listening carefully to what Jamarin said. "Hard workers are always welcome though." It amazed Kalendol how Jamarin talked about his brother. She wished she had the option to be that accepting of her family. But they made it incredibly difficult.
Kynigoth blinked her eyes carefully and looked towards the humans before glancing back at Atibonth, <Good question. Shall we divulge in the flora and fauna?> The dragonet asked with a charming grin.

xXsexxeh_rinnyXx I'm the one that took forever, love “Aye.” Jamarin agreed, “Theres always a need for an extra set of strong hands.” He was proud of what he did, and he could do it anywhere. “Or a tanner.” he added, a little awkwardly. Talking really wasn't his thing. “... So, yer papa was a tanner?” he asked. He was fine with listening, so maybe if he got her talking again, like before in the dining hall... “What was he like?” Atibonth gave his rider a glance and sent a gentle, wordless nudge of caution – family may not be the best subject to talk about. However, it was good to have Jamarin do these things on his own – a guide was not there to take control, but to point in a direction. The rest was up to Jamarin. Atibonth tilted his head,
