I haven't... but I'm trying to follow somewhat in her footsteps. Offer them a chance to talk, not just go in swinging. You don't know who's willing to listen, or who might have to just know you'll be there to listen when they're ready. I'm not saying you have to go as far as Hvergelmer did... But literally the only thing that happens if we follow Castor's example is that chaos turns around and makes more people, they will continue to corrupt people until literally everyone is dead or corrupt except us, and then they'll come for us." Castor might have been a powerful senshi, but apparently great power did not come with great ability to put two and two together.

"Hvergelmir? I'm afraid I haven't met her yet, but she sounds like someone I should look for. An oath to never fight the Negaverse... that sounds dangerous, but kind of gutsy too. I bet she's got a lot of people who don't approve of her not fighting." Glitnir tried to engrave the newly-mentioned Knight's name in his mind so that he could find her eventually. "I didn't exactly 'go in swinging' before, but I can see that you think trying to negotiate first is important. By the way, forgive me if you explained this already, but... who's Castor, and what is his example?"

"The Senshi of Hail, white hair, completely unpredictable at this point. Hangs out with his brother Pollux... he was trying to get people on his side telling them he was declaring war on the ******** earth. Straight up murdered at least a dozen, probably more young Lieutenants. Ripped their hearts out just because he could, and stacked them up to show off. Megrez bought into it, Avalon almost did until he got into his bit about how there was no salvation for the corrupted. She was for a while, like I was. He's crazy, he's dangerous, and he will cause nothing but trouble."

Glitnir tried his best to file away the names of these potentially dangerous people. Castor, Pollux, Megrez, Avalon (though it seemed that her danger level was lower than the others)... he wasn't sure if he should seek these people out to hear their perspective or avoid them, lest they turn on him. Kairatos's report of what Castor had done were shocking to the point that Glitnir almost couldn't process it. "Wait, he did what? He... really killed them like that? People are really doing that in this war? Wait, no, I know the answer to that. The Saturn Knight I saw a while back was covered in blood." He sighed and rubbed his forehead. "This keeps getting more serious. Not only do we have to protect ourselves from enemies, but from the lunatic fringe on our own side, too."

"He did, and took the bodies. Didn't even leave anything for their families to find." Even at Mistral they'd done their best to make sure there was ... closure for that unspeakable waste of life. "...I guess some people just give up hope. Let a little bit of chaos in. It's hard not to picture them eventually toppling off the edge, but right now they just sort of..." He tilted a hand vaguely. "... Lean over, and pretend they're just looking to see." Did that make sense? It sort of did in his head, but he wasn't that eloquent. It was frustrating from time to time. "I'm sure there are some people for whom the only chance is being sent back to the Cauldron to try again... And few of us are going to come out of this without blood on our hands. Especially those who have purified... I just... I can't make that call for everyone but I don't think the way to win is by using the same tactics Chaos uses."

"I like that metaphor, but the 'pretending' bit makes it sound like they're considering corrupting or something. Spontaneous corruption isn't a thing, is it?" Glitnir really hoped that it wasn't, or some very powerful and dangerous senshi would suddenly end up on the wrong side of the tracks. He frowned when Kairatos said that few would come out without blood on their hands and took it as a warning that, someday, Glitnir would have to make his choice. "This... is a lot to think about. I think I need to go ask other people what they think and get as many perspectives as possible. I just want a full picture." He took a few absentminded steps back. "Thanks for telling me all this. I think I know who and what to look out for now. But first, I think I need to cool my head off a bit. I think my brain is overheating."

"As best as I've been able to put together, it's happened once, but that may just be how it appeared from an outside perspective. And the person who did it seems to have vanished." But her court hadn't, though if future memories were anything to go by, even they might more diverse than they first appeared. "Good luck with that, I hope you find what you're looking for then." He suspected the other knight was looking for something cut and dried, a clear cut yes or no, but he wasn't even sure that existed in this damn war, or not in more than individual cases.

"Heh, thanks. Even if it's not what I'm looking for, it'll be... something." Glitnir didn't really know what he was looking for. Would he ever be able to arrive at a conclusion at all? At the very least, the more people he surveyed, the more accurate picture he would get of the war. As he walked off, he mulled over the increasingly complicated stories he was hearing of the war, and wondered what it had in store for him.
