MAGICIAN'S LOG . . .
LOCATION: Peul City PokeCenter
MOOD: Happily eating lunch.. what do you think?
I write this sitting in the Pokemon Center in Peul City. We made it in time for lunch- just barely- after reaching Peul not much earlier, and making a beeline for the center. Not much happened on the way through Route B… except for one thing.
There's a river that runs through the route, leading straight towards the city, so I naturally followed it to avoid getting turned around. Britannia and Gwydion played in the water as we walked, zipping ahead of me before looping back around. Everything went peacefully until we were almost at the gates to Peul. The bank of the river had gotten rather steep, and although Gwydion was no longer in the water, Britannia still was. Trying to get the slippery little body up the bank and out of the water was a job and a half, and it almost didn't seem like we would succeed until Britannia unexpectantly found a foothold.
Turns out that the "foothold" that helped Britannia was actually a pokemon. A lotad, to be specific. And one that wasn't happy to have been stepped on with muddy little feet. Oops. So, yeah, it attacked.
Britannia kicked a** again, of course, and lotad was soon a new member of our party. A disgruntled member of our party, albeit, so she stayed in her pokeball until she could get healed up in Peul City. She was still a little hostile come lunch though, so she's now eating in the back with Nurse Joy and Chansey. It's not the greatest start to our relationship, but I'm sure she'll forgive Britannia for stepping on her soon enough.

In the meantime, once lunch is finished, it's time to explore Peul City! I think I saw the gym on the way into town, but I'll hold-off on going there until after I've poked around town for a bit. And probably trained up my pokemon a bit more, now that I think about it.
