Now that the young lady had a chance to inspect his adornment, he carefully placed it back in his hair, near the seashell hair ornaments. "It is simply a hairpin... something which belonged to my ancestor who previously served as the Knight of Nysa. However, the feather is the important part for me, since it belonged to a peaceful bird native to Neptune."
Once more, his gloved finger ran through the soft edge of the pristine feather, as if to accent his explanation.
When the senshi vocalized her own doubts, Nysa considered her words and her general demeanor.
"It is a difficult task, Miss Mintaka. However, if I were to simplify my own mindset to the matter of whether to lay down my arms, or whether to fight, I would say that one issue is the guiding principle."
He took a breath before stating "...'Will my actions defend someone who is unable to defend themselves?'... I try to not provoke violence..."
There had been one time where he had done such a thing, so he could not outright say "I do not provoke violence."
"...it is not a perfect system... but I would like to think I do a decent job of upholding my own principles."

"I didn't realize the ancestors could leave anything!" she blinked and then watched as the feather was set back. She had never seen somebody treasure something so much, and though the first meeting with him had been his fruitless search for the princess of Neptune, now she saw himself for more.
A real knight in shining armor. not a Prince. But a protector.
She wanted to be like him. She pushed herself up, taking his hand gently and squeezing it.
"Nysa, you..." She let go of his hand and shook her head, "I hope this doesn't creep you out, but you've really helped me. I hope perhaps...I would like to be like you more. I want to be a protector, a knight. This talk? This has helped me." She smiled wider, "You are very much wonderful."

Her boldness didn't go unnoticed. Even through the gloves he wore, he could feel the warmness and gentle squeezing of her fingers against his own. He smiled much like he had been the entire time, but a small chuckle couldn't help but escape him.
"That is mighty kind of you, Miss Mintaka. It would seem as if you carry a spoonful of honey with you at all times to attract more bees."
With a subtle wink, he stepped back and leaned forward for a bow. "I am glad I have been able to assist you, Miss Mintaka."

Mintaka laughed, patting her arm and then laughed again.
"I can't help it, I have a giant crush on you it seems Nysa, and really in my eyes, you could do no bad." She shrugged and then smiled up at him.
"You always help me out, I'm very grateful to be able to talk and know someone like you." She breathed out. "Really, if you need anything, please don't hesitate to call or find me." She smiled again and looked around, "I feel a bit more motivated, I suppose I will return to patrols. I will see you around okay?"

Though his expression didn't alter in the slightest, a tint of rose seemed to color his cheeks.
Well mannered, yet bold...
As he straightened up, he nodded his head. "I will keep that in mind."
With a flourish of his gossamer cape, he bound off, leaving his farewell to linger upon the air for Mintaka to hear.
"Good evening, Miss Mintaka."
