Is there a plan to to fix/bring back purchasing Gaia Cash through Google play? Is it gone for good or will ot be back with the hopeful/eventual remake of the Gaia Mobile App? It's been my only reliable way to purchase cash since the Gaia Cash Cards were discontinued.
This is something we are taking a look into but unfortunately we can't give a definite time frame of when it will be fixed. I totally understand it's frustrating and sorry for that!

My question is this: the daily chance video is not working lately. It gives an apology & a chance at some gold, but no videos w/ability to earn GC. So, is this being worked on or a glitch or what? Also, the videos to earn GC are only giving out 1 GC at a time. Usually, the amt of cash given out depends on the length or activities within the short video but now they are all only 1 GC. Also, there are much fewer videos available so is this temporary or being worked on or what? Thank you!

Have there been any problems with the payment page? I purchased 1000 Gaia cash last night and it took the money from my bank account, but it didn't give me the cash or the strawberry penguin cookie. The payment page gave me an error and told me to check with Paypal, even though I didn't pay with Paypal, but just entered by Visa debit info, like usual. I filed a ticket last night and am still waiting for a response, but was wondering if this is a problem that is known about and affecting others, too.
We do know that there seem to be some issues with the receiving Gaia Cash for some payments and we've been thoroughly investigating this and think we may have a fix for it coming up in the near future. Hey, so so for well over a month now, I've been experiencing severe issues with the Daily Cash grants, in that I almost never can get any G-Cash, only a small bit of gold. I can go weeks with this happening. The last I was able to actually get a chance to get the GCash, there was a weird issue with the ad where it had two up, one layered over the other, and completing one of the two doesn't grant the cash (the second always being cut off so you can't interact with it).
Is this issue ever going to be resolved? I'd really like to be able to snag a few of the cool items you've put out.
The gold grant is given to you when our offer partner does not have any ads or videos to serve up to you. Ultimately it depends on when you get to do Daily Treat and if our video partners have videos available for you.

Lately in the Daily GC Videos, whenever you get a McDonald's one, you spend 5 minutes watching the thing, pick a card and yet get nothing. Is there some way to fix this, that doesn't require me to file many many many tickets about it?? It is annoying to spend 6 minutes watching a video, that you can't run in the background and do something else, and get nothing in return for it. Especially since this has been going on since the month became Feb.
Unfortunately situations like this are generally a result of something occurring with the offer partner not granting the Gaia Cash. There isn't too much we can do in this situation and ultimately the best solution is to file a ticket so that we can investigate and grant you your Gaia Cash.

This is something they seriously need to address, none of this non answer "Welp, sometimes our sponsors don't have any offers" I was given last time.
So, for the past two or so months, the Cash Grants have almost never provided any chances to get GCash, only a bit of gold. Except for this one ad, which as you'll soon see might as well not bother.
As you can see, there's this weird thing going on where the video doubles over, making it so you can't claim your GCash since it reads it as you not completing what the ad asks you to do (seemingly because it wants you to interact with the bottom, cut off one you can't interact with).
The other times when an ad shows up, you see the loading screen for an ad for about a second before it disappears, leaving you with a gold grant because 'there's no sponsor offer'.
This is a whole lot of bull, especially since Gaia so heavily pushes the need for GCash to get and do anything.
Fix this, and give an actual answer as to why this is happening and going so long without any resolution.

1. If you can check for items in an account to validate a second pose, while the user must retain the first pose avatar until customer service replies back that the doll is in process, why not simply pull the information for BOTH poses instead? You'd have to check to see if ALL items are available in that account.

Okay Gaia, we need to talk about your Pokemon themed items.
Pokemon is a very popular series among Gaians, so making some items based on it is a no brainer. However, the current way you're distributing them is broken. A majority of them you've sold through the Cash Shop, which I (and others) could live with if it weren't for the fact that you charge so much for them and have so few made available.
Let's look at one of your most recent releases, Synchronous Moonlight, which you sold at 799 GCash ($7.99 USD) and made 799 of them available. They sold out before the announcement of their availability was made. Naturally, the next day a recolor (Bold Synchronous Moonlight) was made available. Fine, except for the fact that you sold them for 999 GCash ($9.99 USD) each and made the number available exactly the same as the original item, even though there's a clear massive demand for the item, so it sold out as fast, if not faster.
Likewise with Tower Haunt, you put up 799 of them for sale at 799 GCash ($7.99 USD) each, and it sold out quite fast. The next day you released a recolor (Cursed Tower Haunt), and sold it at the same price as the original, but instead only made 699 available.
Similarly, with RIGs and CIs that include Pokemon themed items, the Pokemon themed items are among the rarest of the grants.
This is just insane. You're making it so that only the most dedicated, richest Gaians can have items based on this hugely popular, beloved series. And that just isn't fair.

Thank you for feedback Soren, the purpose of LQIs is to ensure users a set that has a limited quantity, guaranteeing rarity and collectibility. Releasing items that sell out very quickly is very rare but not our intended purpose. Suggestions for limited time LQTs as opposed to quantity are being considered, and may be used in the future, so long as the rules are carefully outlined. The items can be re-released after 6 months, so users that are patient and really desire an item can get another chance at it.
That's a poor excuse though. There's absolutely no reason why Gaia couldn't stick a few of these highly desired items into Loyal's so that users that can't afford to spend so much money in the cash shop may have a chance at owning one. It's that kind of could shouldering that's causing a lot of your long-time users to quit Gaia. You need to hold a meeting about getting your sense of community back. :/
We have and will continue to put some LQIs and exclusive recolors of LQIs into Loyal's, though they may not be released on the same day.

In some cases, such as if you purchased within 2 hours of a tier going live, you can be credited for your purchase by our CS team. Tiers are meant to be a surprise and reward for Gaians who choose to purchase GCash, and to make every purchase count we have been supplying month-long tiers with exclusive sets released at the end for spending.

In the announcements for the Love Trunk RIG, there was a pink Aethereal Acolyte and navy blue World Protector predominate in the image. However, these have not been "found" yet since their marketplace links haven't been activated yet and I know a few people would love to see what these items look like on their avatars. When was the last time Crystal Box was updated? I see it lingering there every time I'm on the Cash page and it no longer holds any incentive to buy more GC. The items in it are sorely in need of an update and shuffle. Or just change the RIG it gives all together. I heard a couple days ago during the sales of Synchronous LQI items that some people have found an "exploit" where they could buy already sold out items as they are being removed from the shop because they briefly become unlimited. I was just curious if this counts as exploiting a glitch and should we avoid doing so to avoid breaking the TOS?

Items/Features One of the things I noticed was the new little "Pay for another chance" thing on the Monthly CI. However... When you spend it on there it doesn't count for the tiers. Can you fix this or was that intentional also why can't that be a gold option instead?
This is a new feature, and the spending on greater chances didn't go towards tiers because we're still ironing out kinks in it. Hopefully in the next round we will be able to count it. As it is currently, only purhcases made directly from stores with GC add to Tier totals. Sorry about that. sad

No, uhm....no that shouldn't be a regular thing. Are you mentioning something in specific? If an EI is removed a few days earlier that is a mistake, or it got un-featured and can be found in La Victoire under the All Items tab.

As a non-American Gaian I am constantly missing out on the more popular LQIs that sell out a few hours after release. Would you guys consider staggering the release of future LQIs (half quantity available on initial release, the rest 12 hours later) so Gaians from different time zones have an equal chance at them?
That's an interesting idea. We'll consider it- we're also working on making time-only LQIs so that these limited releases are for a full 24 hour rotation only, but with the same rules/limitations applied.

Is it possible to fix the Earn Gaia Cash with things that doesn't require putting too much personal information in? I like the ones lately that I've been using that are the interacting ads so is it possible to put more up? Or at least make the payout more then 4 GC? Like 8 or something?
Also do they have a limit per day? cause I used those adds this morning but when I went to go do them again later they don't show up.
This is actually out of our control and based on what ads our offer partner has and are willing to provide to our user base. The payout is also controlled by them. We're updating our offer board this month, so this may provide some welcome changes for earning GC.

Could be possible in a near future to pass Gaia Cash from mules to a main account via trade or a similar system?
I ask this because I have some GC scattered around my mules and none of them come near to buy even the 99gc items.
This probably isn't something we'll be implementing as we don't want to open the door to trading Gaia Cash for gold, items, etc, the idea is that Gaia Cash is non-transferrable on Gaia unless we specify what you can trade it in for. You could go ahead and file a billing ticket to request your Gaia Cash amongst your mule accounts be consolidated, but please be aware that we will have to verify your accounts and if we cannot we will not be able to consolidate the Gaia Cash.

Recently there is a bug pledging the site. Where even if you pay the gaia cash needed to have ads disabled...they still show up. some of these ads are really really bad and lag out and crash the site. I've reported this in the Bug Report forum. I have two questions related to this issue. 1. Can you provide any updates or reason as to why this happened and what your doing to fix it? 2. Due to the fact this issue effect users who paid your site real money will there be some form of refund or maybe adding more days to the blocking of the ads for those effect?
We are aware of this glitch and we're taking a look into what might be causing it. Unfortunately we do not have any updates at this time but when we do we will be posting a staff notice to let you know. As for a refund, we have no plans to compensate for users who have been affected by this as the ability to disable the ads has been a bonus for already spending 250 Gaia Cash on Gaia, usually for a Cash Shop item. As opposed to if we were directly selling the ability to disable ads as a new and separate product other than items.

I've been wondering this for a while and was hoping for some sort of answer regarding it but, why is it recolors on EIs/REIs vary from their original price? For example, the recolor of My Bloody Valentine is 999gc when the original was only 499gc. I've just been wondering because that seems kind of weird to do since a lot of people like the recolors but aren't usually willing to pay more than the original price of the EI/REI, especially when most of them end up in a RIG later on. Again, I've just been curious about this for a while now since it's happened a few times in the past. o:

Items such as REIs/LQIs/EIs will vary in price depending on the perceived quality and desirability. For instance some LQIs will be released in a new color for 499 GC, because the color is rare or not easily matchable. REIs when they are released are a standard price, but their recolors will vary depending on the color choices.

In the new Happy Zoo RBG, the Bunny Bundle, one of the items is Crimson Rabbitan. This item was originally released (for the [Animal] base) in the Purrfect Present tier on Feb. 25, and thanks to the GCD's info thread on it I was able to confirm that it was a "the items from the tier will not be sold again" sort of tier. Could this possibly be looked into/adjusted accordingly? (and for those affected, after it’s adjusted, should they file a ticket about it to have their inventories adjusted as necessary or anything?)

Will Gaia ever allow us to see the ACTUAL odds of winning certain items from RiGs / CIs?
It's just like a scratch-off lottery ticket, only those have the odds of winning certain prizes listed on the back of the ticket. This is coming from some one who has had many classes in probability and also played 10,000+ RiGs over my Gaian lifetime.
It wouldn't be such a pet-peeve of mine to know, but you're constantly announcing that certain odds have increased by 20x, 50x even 200x normal odds.

We definitely can't share our backend odds calculator, but with a little math, you can probably calculate them by looking at the number of items in a user-generated list and then scale them by worth. Generally speaking though, 200x odds are pretty fantastic odds. 3nodding

I can't help but notice that the tiered spending events are often overwhelmingly geared toward users with female avatars. Take the recent Society of Proper Etiquette for example:
I was intrigued by the name of the tier, as I enjoy making gentlemanly/dapper avatars, so imagine my disappointment when I saw that of the eight exclusive items, only one (Ominous Baron) was masculine. In fact, none of the other seven items were even remotely gender-neutral, all being either dresses or women's hairstyles. Needless to say, I did not participate in this spending tier.
Considering that these tend to be choice tiers, would it be possible to ensure that future spending events allow buyers to choose between a feminine and a masculine or gender-neutral item in each tier? That way, users who prefer masculine avatars would not be left out and would be encouraged to spend.
This is something that I noticed as well and tiers moving forward should at least have a 2-3 ratio of unisex/male items as well as something for our Paws- unless there's something specifically themed for ladies only, but I'm not sure that will happen any time soon.

Just a thought, since majority of the spending is from human bases and this would be a nice incentive for everyone involved..yes..even you Gaia. 3nodding

Hopefully when our Avatar Builder is created it will automatically update when new Cash Shop or other item releases are put out and we can find a way to communicate that without overwhelming our users.

Would it be possible for coupons to be used when redeeming GC with a gamer card like Rixy or Zeevex? Since many users, including myself, don't have a credit card or paypal account, we tend to feel left out in the extra goodies when getting GC and even worst since the announcements dropped the "only credit card or PayPal" on the descriptions for all but one coupon but when you click to redeem it, there's the only credit car and/or PayPay in the fine print.
This is something that we can definitely implement. Thank you for the suggestion!

We are in the process of basically re-writing our mobile app- once this is finished you should be able to use these cards on Android. Have you tried using Play Garden to redeem GC? They may also work via. this service as well. Our mobile app update is tentatively scheduled for release at the end of this summer.

I have heard that LQI in the cash shop lately automatically get a recolor when they sell out. However the paw items rarely sell out the same since there are fewer people who use the paw base. Is it possible for our LQI to be a fewer amount so they can sell out and get recolors? Like maybe 299 quantity perhaps?
Not all LQIs automatically get a recolor, but for sell out sets we try to put at least one more recolor in the store. We can lower the amounts for Paw sets, that's very easy! Thank you for the suggestion.
Okay so one of the things that are new is the Limited Time Bundles. These are great, but you guys have been putting items with them that should have been in the monthly CI in the first place. Honestly, it feels like you're like EA & we have to pay for the game & then for the DLC to get the full experience. Basically, these are great to have, but please include the items that are MEANT to be in the monthly CI, IN THE THE MONTHLY CI & not as an add on please. I know you're going to say that the timed limit gives everyone a better chance at getting one, but the prices are really steep for most, so can you stick with the limited add bundles with just recolors? An add on should be an add on, not an essential part of the product.
Thank you for the feedback on our Limited Time bundles. We don't always make sets in every CI based off of every NPC in it and based on user feedback we decided to make these special. In the future we will consider making Limited Time items that aren't tied to CIs.

Events/Features Why have you guys stopped syncing tiers with the LV updates/midnight launches? It'd be much appreciated if they happened at the start of a day or when the shop updates.
We try our best to have our tiers go live at the same time as an update (preferably the morning one) and sometimes it all goes awry and we end up having to release it later. Our CS team is very accommodating if you've missed purchasing by a few hours and they should be able to grant you items from the tier quickly. heart

Events: spending tiers
I was sorely disappointed that the last spending tier (the "King's" Tier) had only 1/2 an item that could be considered male (Grape Marionette Restrung) and one that was gender neutral (Fafnir recolor), and both of those were in the second to last tier. I was under the impression that spending tiers would have a higher male to female ratio after people last complained about it. Can you please make sure us guys (or people who prefer masculine clothing) aren't left out of future tiers?
In general we try to do half female, half unisex/male, and at least one Paw item- this Tier was perhaps misnamed because the creator likes to call himself 'King'. Occasionally we will do pop-up tiers and these won't be as balanced I'm afraid, but we generally strive to include as many Gaians as possible in these events. 3nodding

Please don’t take offense to this question, but could someone explain the rationale behind the cost of Ascended Bundle and The Dragon Queen Bundle? These items cost two hundred and fifty thousand gaia cash and two hundred thousand gaia cash respectively. If 100 GC = $1 then that means the American dollar value of those two bundles are $2,500 and $2,000. At the very least I’d like clarification if the price is as intended, meaning you expect users to spend $2,000 and more on a single virtual item with limited use and function (as opposed to using that same amount of money as down payment on a new car, a flat-screen tv, and other items with real world applications and usage).
Follow-up question if not explained in the answering of the original question: Who is the target consumer for these high price ‘luxury’ virtual items whose ‘use’ is so limited in scope?

These bundles were priced very high due to the content inside. Some of the items inside were sold individually for almost that much and to price the bundle without taking those into account would depreciate the value of the investments of users who purchased them. These bundles would obviously be much less expensive if they didn't have Angelic Halos and other components inside.

Perhaps a limited TIME offer for them, instead? Say, a week? It'd give folks who are JUST waiting for payday at least SOME time to get some of these items if they have the means to do so(Not that I'd be able to, I'm without a job right now xD; )

Thanks to the change I've made more GC I ever thought I could have, which opens lots of doors to me, and probably to lots of other gaians as well. Now to my request, could it be possible to let us disable the PM notifications we get everytime we win GC? Or maybe send us a digest with our earnings a couple of times a day? (sorry if you don't understand, I don't really know how to word the question)~
For the moment I don't see us changing this, but what we could look at doing in the future is consolidating the PMs to get sent hourly in one PM instead of individual PMs when collecting GC from offers.

The Seraphique vest reward for completing cash offers hasn't been updated in a very long time. Would you consider a new set as prizes and/or recolors of the Seraphique/Demonique sets to rotate around? The reward can only be received for the first offer over 100gc as well.

What conclusions regarding the community's feelings toward gold generators can you draw from the recent survey, and what do you plan to do to address them?
I will try to address this as concisely as possible but I have a tendency to ramble, so please bear with me. It’s extremely simple to say gold generators will never be sold again, but that would actually cause more damage than being helpful, and here is why:
Properly balanced Gold Generators allow us to make a certain amount of revenue that frees up our art and developer resources to work on features, new art and fixing old bugs. This is what it all boils down to- resources. We can easily say that given the survey results, we should only make black Fantasy items – but we won’t, we will make girl items, boy items YES EVEN YELLOW items. Simply looking at the Cash Shop at the only limited quantity items to sell out- most of them are GGs, and this conflicts with the message that users want them removed.
We have to look at situation as a domino effect. If Gold generators are no longer sold, it would mean we would have a harder time hitting our daily / monthly goals. With goals not being hit, cuts will need to be made, either in art, features, or updates to the site. In the past, we set a wrong standard of things by not limiting the amount of gold that can be purchased. We understand that introducing gobs and gobs of gold into the economy is bad, but looking at the overall data, we have remained steady over the last couple months, and even a decline of gold in the economy. We have been consistently updating Loyal’s with LQI items, and since the start of this initiative, combined with the Loyal’s Gate series we’ve sunk over 3 quadrillion alone- trimming more than 1/3 of the gold economy. We are keeping a close eye on the economy as a whole and making adjustments as needed to balance and sink more gold out.
We are also trying to address the disparity from newly returning users and users who do not have the option to purchase GC by giving more ways to earn higher gold payouts- Switch-em, Booty Grab, Daily Chance and Pink Links have all been updated and we won’t be stopping there. Not all Gaians will agree with the measures we’re taking, but at the end of the day, our goal is to provide you with the best possible items, and new features. We are almost on the cusp of releasing a Chat system, Avatar dream builder, Pet RPG, Mobile app updates and Guild renovations, and we hope that when these come out, combined with a stabilized gold economy we can all have fun on the site that has brought us all so many great memories.

C: Anyway, since the users' money spent on gold generators goes towards fixing some things on Gaia, I was wondering, to "soften" the blow gold generators have on the Gaia economy, I was wondering if you can add updates to Staff Updates to tell us what glitches and other things that were fixed on Gaia using users' money from them buying gold generators? I know you guys are keeping us updated in the Staff Updates on what has been fixed, what is coming up in the future, and other things as well, but I think including bugs and other fixes to Gaia from users' money from buying gold generators would be absolutely awesome to be included as well. This would be very difficult to define, since we don't necessarily pick and choose what we will make in place of Gold Gens. I will say that most of this event probably benefited from those sales- since an artist who is both beautiful and talented created more than 31 amazing free items for both Paws And Humans. We do have site/shop UI updates planned, however we have a good deal more time and work to put into this kind of update so its a long, slow burn type of project as opposed to fixing/adding to a game. However it is on our to-do list for this year. 3nodding

Can you maybe change the way LQI's work? It's really broken and unfair at the moment because the cheaper ones, popular ones, or the ones in Loyal's sell out really quickly and most people don't even have the chance to see the announcement before they're gone.
Maybe make them limited duration instead? Like have them up for a 24 hour period with no quantity cap or something but still have the rest of the rules the same (not back for 6 months, etc).

It would be nice to see some rigs in more of the 50 cent each range. I am finding I need to stay off Gaia more and more because I am too much of a gambler and I am spending far too much without realizing it. So, do you plan on releasing rigs for a lower amount per 1?
Yes we are planning on releasing a variety of items in different price points- we'll try to be more friendly to Gaian's on a tight budget, but I would recommend if you feel you are having issues with gambling potentially switching to something less expensive like philosopher's caches or gold shop grab bags?

A few ATS's ago someone brought up that despite having the coupon sticker next to the GC section in the header, we were still getting announcements for the coupons, and I think it was explained that a few bugs were being worked out and until then the announcements would continue. Well, it's been several weeks since then, and we're still getting announcements for coupons even with the sticker in the header. Could we just have one or the other? Both seem redundant.
Before our Coupon Sticker, we had several reminders per day for our coupons. Based on requests from users who use the feature, we have been releasing one announcement to inform them of updates and we will probably continue to do so.
At 5:04 pm PDT on May 3, 2015 there was a coupon announcement. One of the coupons in this announcement, which could be used thrice before expiring on May 4th at 4:59 pm PDT, was the Golden Fragment Coupon. This coupon guarantees a Golden Fragment, which can be used in alchemy to create tickets, by purchasing at least 10,000 GC, which would be spending a hundred or more in American dollars. Thus, by making three of the minimum $100 purchases of Gaia Cash using this coupon, a user who can afford to spend $300 during the almost 24 hour time period, would receive 3 Golden Fragments.
Why was this coupon created, and are you aware that it may appear to cater towards users who have a larger offsite expendable income, guaranteeing them, over all other users, Golden Fragments instead?
Edit: fixed the bold tag. Also, I've been meaning to ask this question 2 weeks ago, but kept missing AtS. I only have one more hard hitting question, but I'll save it for later on in this thread if I get to it. It -is- on the same subject.
The release of Golden Fragments through a Coupon, especially a higher tier coupon is this: They are meant to be hard to get, and Gaians that take the step to invest in collecting them are rewarded with some of the most exclusive items on the site. Do you have to buy GC to get a Golden Fragment? No- all you have to do is save your gold and purchase it from the MarketPlace.

why is everything in Club Verge usually very expensive? i know they are exclusive items and all, but these are your customers who've spent a lot on your website – wouldn't it make more sense to reward them with things that aren't double/triple the price of things in the regular cash shop?
Currently a number of the Club Verge items that are priced high are due to being 50/100 packs of various RIGs, which actually offer our Verge members more of a discount. Moving forward Club Verge items aren't going to be priced very differently from La Victoire, but they will be exclusive.

Question Will you be lowering the cost of the Bronze Kicopot? The average a user gets is about 25GC-46GC or so and for 10B each ticket isn't a very fair amount for the price. As the earlier released Kicopots were worth the price as the payouts were better. I know its for goldsink, but it would be easier to obtain that Gaia cash through videos. There is a lot of negative feedback as far as I have read over the GCD forums.
We are currently still looking into improving the balancing the the Kicopots. Although we all prefer our Gaians to do offers to get Gcash, Kicopot allows Gaians who have a little extra gold to have a chance to win up to 100,000 GC. The main chase in this item is for the grand prize of 100,000, while at the same time, you are still benefiting from this, and getting a small amount of gold.

Recently you guys advertised a raffle using the Tailored Trendsetter CI as an entry.
To my knowledge the item did NOT sell out, and I have no way of knowing if any of the CIs dropped their main prize (especially since both the Platinum Ticket and Tailor Ticket have been released in other items as well). Is the raffle going to be held soon or has it already happened? Tag on question, Does Gaia EVER plan on being more transparent with their means of choosing raffle winners? They are always announced but we never get to see how Gaia came about with those specific winners. Do you draw names from a hat, or just pick the name that sounds coolest, or straight up rig it and pick friends?
Raffle winners are picked from a randomly generated list, though choosing them based on coolness of name sounds like a good idea now that you mention it.

First off, thank you for the new Peyo and Splatoon items!
As for my question, is there maybe a chance of announcements about bundles including a list of all the items in the bundle or at least have all the items tagged with the name of the bundle? It's so frustrating looking at a picture of an item set in a new bundle and not knowing how to find it in the market place without help.
Of course! That should be a given- can you tell me which bundle you're referring to and I can fix it.
Well I was thinking about the one with the pikachu recolored grunny, but really most of them have this problem. For example, the newest Bundle, Summer Skies, only list the names of some of its items in the announcement, and searching for summer skies in the market place doesn't bring them up. As it stands now, I'll have to go find some user made list of items in the bundle, when I think they should just all be named in the announcement or at least tagged with "Summer, Skies" so that searching for it will bring them all up
