A chance, perhaps, to leave Chaos behind, she thought for a moment - but then she discarded it, because how could she abandon her Court and her fiancée and everyone else, just for a chance to escape that terrible world?
But she didn't let her face betray her feelings. Instead, she just looped her arm with Mintaka's and smiled. "We'll be wonderful friends, and everything will go right." Surely it would work out? "I love cookies. And tea." And Mintaka. She had a dear friend, someone she could count on. That made all of it feel almost worth it.
